They don't really. They were successful at generating fake Wikipedia articles, fake news stories and other nonsense about it and get it a reputation as literally the Nazis who elected Trump. So they're just going to keep pushing that fake news as hard as they possibly can, so that anything that ever happens to them is the result of a conspiracy of the most powerful, evil people ever to exist.

I love the responses calling Timmy out for dragging out the goobergrape corpse and flogging it, or explaining to him that "gitgud, scrub!" was a thing wayyyy before glittergophers.

I don't understand how anyone can hate Cuphead. Maybe the difficulty, but not the game itself.

It's literally about two alcoholic gambling addicts becoming Satan's hitmen and getting into fights with strange creatures, all with a 30s cartoon aesthetic.

It's beautiful

This video made me legit worried about the guy, like, you HAVE to have some sort of issue with your brain in order to be like this. This is just pressing two buttons in a succession, your hand-eye coordination could be next-to-none and you should be able to do this. This legitimately looks like it was played by someone in their 80s

One thing to note in regards to Dean (and by extension, journalist and such thinking the game is too hard):
DSP, a noted Let's Player who sucks at gaming, managed to beat Cuphead within a week. Let that settle in.

As for Dean playing badly, it's funny how it took him a minute or two to pass a tutorial that is legit simple as hell. Even funnier is him doubling down and whiteknights trying to defend him.

DSP is really good at fighting games, so he DOES know how to play video games to some extent, so not really a fair comparison.
DSP is just smart as a box of rocks, which means that any game that requires moderate comprehension skills will fuck him up.

The unearthed corpse of Helen Keller could do a better job playing Cuphead than Dean did.

They only bring gamergate out of it's grave whenever something bad happens so they can have the usual "boogeyman" to blame everything on, double points if they say Gamergate is dead 5 seconds before saying it never died when the next controversy comes up.

I would love to see one of these "game journalists" play a game that's legitimately hard, with a gun to their head, and they get shot into the grave they were just forced to dig for themselves when they lose.
