If fungi were mobile, they would be predatory

posting this every time a Mushroom Opportunity presents itself

Any reasonable person should be terrified of mushroom for the possible potential it brings. I read that mushroom article too (OP brings it up) and all I can think about is them parasiting us, though I think I got my stuff mixed up.

Not reading this thread, but fuckton of plants are predatory while mostly immobile, what's stopping supposedly clever mushrooms, the French?

One of the funniest things I can remember, long before The Last of Us was released and popularized the "cordyceps spreading to humans" bit, was that I was in a group chat with some friends and I brought up how I don't like fungi because of how it absolutely does not conform to our general understanding of life on this planet so much that it's just in its own kingdom taxonomically. And how we apparently just like, eat it? As if it were something that was meant to be consumed, knowing how fucked up that life form is. I've always had this irrational fear of some kind of fungal parasite and as soon as I brought that up to the group chat one by one everyone else was like "holy shit me too".

Would they have reality-warping powers, like something painted red goes faster because they believe it does? Wwould they talk in some British accent and be rather warlike?

There's a fuckton of small creatures who would gladly eat us if they were bigger than us, your pet cat probably fantasies about it.
