I'm glad several people brought up charles manson but like for real he's the one that INSTANTLY comes to mind in terms of 70s lolcows (and horrorcows) His "family" were basically a bunch of edgelord hippies living on another guy's property plotting to artificially incite a fucking race war, and Manson himself was like "yeah even though I planned it they can't arrest me cause didn't do the killing and didn't make anyone do anything" more or less. And he still got fucking sent to prison for OBVIOUS FUCKING REASONS. There's a lot more factors but manson's like the PRIME morbid goofyman of the 70s.
