If you had a time machine what time period would you go back to?

I would go back to the 1980's, anywhere really, but preferably the earlier part of the decade.

I'd like to change my initial response. I'd like to go back about 5-10 years ago so I could experience this city without shitheads trying to fucking roll me for drug money or whatever.

Supposing the time machine also goes forward, I'd just go to 2500 and hope we've got fucking spaceships and we haven't nuked ourselves to death.

Otherwise I'd just learn Latin and go back to the good old days of 80BC and join the Roman Republic, and the Legion just to fuck up some barbarian. Also need to make sure I pick the right side of the civil war that'll come, I'm backing my boi Julius.

The 1920's. Early on, right before the Great Depression. Because it had some good music and I want to dance the Charleston.
Edit: Basically like that Midnight In Paris movie except not Paris but F. Scott Fitzgerald.

If I could swing it so I came of age in the 1960s that would be pretty cool. That was a pretty insane decade. I have enough modern knowledge that I'd be able to make a decent career out of science/medicine and with the lack of video games and internet to waste my life on I'd actually have motivation to do it. Not sure if I'd go through with it now because this decade is shaping up to be even more absurd and hilarious and I'm kind of invested on seeing where the SJW trash fire is going. Plus I know what surgery and cancer treatments and shit looked like in the 60s and frankly I'm a bit of a pussy.

I would go back to several different times and personally rape, murder and rape all the most infamous dictators and warlords in the last few centuries, only to come back and realize much worse people took their place anyway.

Then I'll just travel to the future to happily witness the apocalypse.
 
Yall ever see back to the future? I'd just write down who wins each sporting event in the last two or so years and just go back then, get a fuckton of money from betting, and then promptly die of alcohol poisoning

But actually, I'd go to ~1995. My grandfather died a few years after 1995 and I'd like to see him. :optimistic:
