It's controversial (I guess?) but imo all he needs is a smart attorney or 10 and he'd be a very profitable enterprise. The Farms gets clicks. Clicks are valuable. Even those that are "problematic". I don't fucking know the guy it's his thing but objectively cashing out for nothing is silly.

In a way, i'm a new user and I only came on the farms because of the support for VM and how much I disliked how the world has become with feminism. I can relate to what you feel right now, I wish I was able to perform the same luxuries as you could now. Follow your dreams @Null, don't let them go. Do it.

I was always scared of following my dreams because of the people that inhabit this world these days only want to put suffering and misery on everyone, it's hard to avoid it on the internet but I finally dug my way out of that for now.


I then decided, i'm going to follow my dreams. Fuck what people think if they get offended over something stupid easily just because you made a website to call literally insane people out on their bullshit, You made a website where people could express their own venting on what humanity has become, that's more of an accomplishment than seeing constant cartoon characters end up on youtube every day and I'm tired of the hypocracy that I see on a daily basis.

Follow your dreams man, you got your whole life to live.
You got us, and we're with you till the end.

man I really hope null doesn't listen to dudes like you that are cynical af. it's a cool thing here, if he doesn't want it, at least pass it off to someone that does. people will speculate on the Brand. Kiwi is a brand, it has customers and such. It's a thing. It doesn't need to be Null's thing if he doesn't want it.

That's probably where I'll head, anyway. My favorite threads as of late have all involved making fun of badly written books, and I think that sort of discussion would carry over well onto cwcki club, at least.

Thank you for all you've done for us, and for the internet in general. Much of what this place has accomplished won't be known for awhile.

You also want to run like hell before this place turns into Something Awful.
 
I'll echo what many have said here already: you should take a month long vacation. Take some time for yourself, focus on your mental well being, invest in a new skill or take up some non Kiwi work. If you still feel the same way when you come back, I think its a good indication that its time to end the site.

I'd really appreciate it, though, if you could provide a backup of this site for those of us with the storage space to download and backup all the information collated here on so many cows and incidents over the years. Maybe write up a guide on all you've had to do to keep Kiwifarms running so smaller communities could learn from what you did and set up their own havens on the web.

Because I truly feel Kiwifarms is important. The coronavirus thread has been invaluable in providing tons of sources on the true capabilities of the virus and true death rates, stuff that is nearly impossible to find outside of Kiwifarms thanks to modern "search" engines. The many threads on proposed bills and media manipulation can only exist here thanks to the 1st amendment, no-where else is posting this stuff. And if you want to walk away from it, I fully understand and would encourage it, but I hope you could share your knowledge to allow the community to bloom in your absence. We still have lots of fruit to choose from.

Holy fuck, the only qualifications to host something like this is the ability to google shit and maybe slap your keyboard in a terminal like a retard.

Now to host it and do it successfully... well null has done writeups on his hosting setup before, so you can read up on that. Architecture-wise though, it's definitely a bit of an oldschool setup.

Forums close all the time. Sass, The new effort, MyPostingCareer, Something sensitive, the Owners burn out or grow up and the people who really want to continue the community will continue it either with the same server or some shitty copy of it.
