@Null After watching the current activity on the forum over the last couple of weeks. I am going to have to say that it is terrible that you feel this way Null. To be honest with you, I can agree quite a bit with your sentiments, and it is understandable that you feel a sense of purposelessness. Hell, I can say that I have a great amount of the same feelings watching the way the world, and especially internet culture has de-evolved over the last few years now. Generally on the decline, almost as if anything and everything that was fun in the yesteryear has swiftly gone away. Section 230 seemed to be the nail in the coffin for the beginning of the eventual decline of the forum. Even though I am a relatively new user, I never quite made an account, because I was more of a lurker on the forum since the early Chris days.
Of course, the way the site has grown making it a monolith of epic proportions makes the Heisenberg effect, even more, prominent on our beloved lolcows. I don't think that the direction the site is going is generally a bad direction but at the same time the amount of liability, and as well personal sacrifice to keep it going indeed is a challenging endeavor. Internet communities change and the farms I don't think is going towards a negative direction, but indeed it has lost a lot of the early charm.
It's been a tremendously disappointing year, and hell I can't have anything against you getting blackpilled towards the forum. There are a lot of us out there that love this site and want to see this site continue on. If you can't bear the responsibility of the forum, also if it isn't what you wanted it to be, maybe perhaps taking a bit of a leave of absence to figure out some of the underlying issues that you may be having. It is always good to take a break, in retrospect you'll feel a lot better if you do so. You've helped bring the internet a good community of people together, along with having a community dedicated to compiling some of the most informative && hilarious bits of information on the net. It's one of the glass half empty and half full type of situations, but be happy that at least you have a glass with something remotely in it (aka tard cum). Take the time you need, getting some good and trusted moderators obviously is a challenge, but I am sure that there are a few willing to manage things while you get some perspective.
A lot of the faggotry that has been occurring in every conceivable direction defiantly has had me have my fair share of sleepless nights lately. With your ambitions with having the next step up in your life, I will have to say that since of un-fulfillment a certain number of us can empathize with you. In this lockdown, gay ass clown world, it's pretty fucking lonely and many like-minded folk are few and far between. Just like the half breed dogs we are, we all inevitably decompose into oblivion. Look at the farms of something like your mark, maybe it wasn't what you wanted it to become, but at least you made a mark. Maybe it might be a streak that has the composition that Chris would find in his MLP panties, but at least it is something.

There’s not much I can say that hasn’t been said in the last 50 pages, but I hope that @Null puts his feet up and takes some time off for a bit. The board culture has definitely changed a lot since I joined in 2016 but I don’t think the site is a lost cause yet. Whatever happens I’ll wear my True and Honest t-shirt proudly either way.

All in all Josh, take a sabbatical, let someone else run the show. Live life. You've done a lot to keep the place running, nowhere was it written that it's your burden to shoulder forever and ever. Just make sure whoever it is has nothing to lose or doesn't give a shit about the consequences.
And maybe split off A&N and Happenings into their own forum, call it Thunderdome or Burning Man or whatever. Might have to move some certain community watch threads there too but politics, for better or for worse, have become a big part of why KF is popular. The one place where you say what you want and be called a faggot by one, a nazi by another, and a commie by a third. It's a breath of fresh air to not have to tip-toe your own language and pretend you agree with something you don't to get by.

Since your mad at the internet stream about 230, been thinking about the future of the site. You were clearly fed up and why wouldn’t you be at this point? It’s just been years of people launching attacks at not only Kiwifarms but you personally.
Maybe pass it on to someone younger who hasn’t taken the internet beating yet, under your guidance? You talked about how in your thirties you pass down what you learned and settle down, maybe now is a good time to find someone to mentor and bring in a new era. It would certainly take a lot of stress off. Emulating the site culture you created and dealing with the shit you deal with would be a challenge for anyone.

While I can understand the first and third points. I have to argue the second. Free speech is an ideal that we should strive for, but know it's impossible, exactly like the ideal of equality. It is an incredibly powerful weapon that can destroy people's lives in a moment, especially when used by the most powerful people in our society. So we have some rules limiting it to protect others, and what should be protected is a legitimate subject to debate.
When the idea about cancelling Section 230 came in there wasn't some Lord of the Rings esque bullshit riling up. Some of it is because people don't know how much it will affect places besides social media (which is still debatable), but most of it is because the whole concept of free speech doesn't exist anymore in any real capacity, a lot of people come here because every other forum and social media site have become draconic in censorship, and arguing that we should let them keep up at it while we're figuratively stuck in a bunker undergoing nevergoing bombardement is just a retarded purity argument.
