Not really. They never shower or wash their hands to begin with, why would that change when they have tattoos? The one exception is when they had like four tattoos done in a period of two days or something like that. Then they got a hotel room and showered.

My Boything's grandmother spent the last five years of her life with pronounced dementia. The kind that turns otherwise nice people into raging, aggressive, paranoid conspiracists. She thought people were scheming against her and lying to her. On good days she was reasonably normal, just a bit grumpy. But she would snap at the drop of a hat, ESPECIALLY if you tried to reason or contradict her. I understand it was helpless and pathological, but there was no way of knowing when she would flip out.

So everybody just took to smiling and nodding and agreeing with her and mostly letting her do what she wanted. It was much easier than ending up with a ballistic 89-year-old woman who no longer lived in the real world.

This, I imagine, is what living around ADF would be like. Smile, nod, and then walk away... or risk unleashing a Tasmanian devil of crazy.
