I got you.

Since no one's bothered to archive this before the link was taken down, I went and decided to snag a re-upload off Youtube. The gore is weak, to the point of being almost non-existent, and the third-person, over the shoulder game play reminds me of The Last of Us and Cuck of War. Jean (Or perhaps I should call it John?) isn't anywhere in this trailer either, so they're probably going to hide that abomination from the marketing until release.
X-men origins is better than this in pretty much every way. If anyone wants to play a good wolverine game, go download the PS3 iso off a piracy site, then emulate it on RPCS3.

It does feel like the blood is toned down. Probably to appeal to certain countries.

Wow, this looks fucking terrible. I'm not sure why nobody tries anymore for video game visuals and response mechanics etc. It's like every game looks the same and super neutered. The only thing that was kind of good in my opinion was that it looked like the giant ogre took damage as the battle progressed. Like with the arm coming off and all that. Damage states are a thing of a by gone era it seems like. The rest of it looked super generic and boring though.
The music choice is also fucking terrible. What sort of atmosphere is that music even going for? It's calm and serene meanwhile people are being dismembered and shit (albeit with barely any gore).

Yea, I hate when source codes and builds from old vintage games from between the mid-90s through late-2000s are long gone once AAA studios don''t recognize these IPs anymore, especially the ones that were transferred by other studios
I'm kinda amazed how short sighted a lot of these companies (both Western and Japanese) are when it comes to preserving classic games that were at some point hallmarks of their success or otherwise memorable. You'd think they would spare a few TB of hard disks or some magnetic tape to preserve an important part of gaming history, but nah. It makes me wonder about the validity of reverse-engineering the source code for these games and preserving that source code. Sure it's roundabout, but it's still a form of preservation and GHIDRA apparently works amazingly well for these types of tasks.

Holy shit that looks horrible. Looks like every Sony cinematic movie goyslop game. And I hate the faggy music too. Big ups kiwi.

I think they were going for the Johnny Cash style that the Logan trailer had.

With how popular emulation and shit is I am truly befuddled as to why they don't just sell hardware and software that appeals to the retro scene. You wouldn't have as many people emulating off a computer/Steam Deck/Chinese handheld #56736/Raspberry Pi/et cetera if they just sold hardware and software that did it. I guess in recent years the PlayStation did it with GTA San Andreas and there's probably a few other examples of digital distributions of old games emulated on newer hardware but it really seems like a missed financial opportunity. Nintendo instead of bitching about emulation could just emulate shit and then re sell what they already made just with the newest always online DRM embedded into it. If I was a suit at one of these companies I'd set aside a team to do this because it cannot be that hard for them to do and it's literally free and easy money. So long as the rights haven't expired or some other IP tranny bullshit happened they should be fine.
