It's practically all Tallarico ever talks about on his Twitter. He's pretty desperate and most of the responses to him (as of a couple months ago) are telling him how full of shit he is, so I'm not sure most people are buying the bullshit he's slinging out.
Those type of replies have petered out because Tallarico blocks anyone who is critical of him or the Amico.

Speaking of which, at what point was it decided he was going the NFT root? Aside from the common grievances of NFTs, I have a feeling it's another last-ditch effort to try and appeal to suckers. If he can't get the nostalgia market, maybe he thinks he can get the weird new tech investor market.
To answer your questions.

1.) The only people who buying into Tommy bullshit is either A.) Late 40s/Early 50s manchilds who can't move past the fact that gaming isn't going to be like it was in the early 80s. These people want to live in a timeline where Atari is still king of the video game market or B.) Fanboy of Tommy Tallarico. For alot of them, Tommy is the biggest name to ever aknowledge their existence. Because of that, their willing to believe anything he says.

As for NFT, there two theory behind that. 1.) Tommy was just throwing out buzzwords around to make the Amico sound more advanced and 2.) Tommy confused NFC with NFT and is too stupid to admit that he was actually wrong so he been doubling down on it.

TT's history of censoring criticism on Atari Age and getting booted himself needs to be put on this website. And the Snake/Hot Tub/Amico Shill group's lashing out at the Amico's critics for daring to besmirch it on YouTube (instead of forums they control and can easily ban dissenters in). That's a start.

And if you want threads for people who are anti-Amico, that's cool too. But I definitely think the more lolcow-y side is the shills.

Has anyone here actually took a look at the game lineup the Intellivision is being released with? They remind me of slightly better looking flash games or maybe games you could play on your phone. None of them look too terrible but I would never spend money to play them.

Tommy TOTALLY deserves his own thread by all means. Good luck to the person who wants to spend that time on his OP though, it's a doozy.

As for for anti-Amico "Haters" there are a couple. But Darius Truxton comes to mind: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCd5Y3Qoqwt5Rny_6djYe-Kg
This guy is a Stoner who spends every waking minute criticizing every breath Tommy and his shill-army takes.

If you wanted to pay top dollar for dedicated Mario Party minigames, the Amico is for you.
Or you could just play anything on POGO.com for free with the same energy.

Maybe not a forum but turning this thread into an all purpose thread about the amico and the people that orbit this system can be a started. Besides Tommy, you have idiots like Smash JT who drop Ten Grand into the amico because Tommy give him a car ride in his big boy car or drama whore like Saggy Melonz whom seem to be the first person to pop up whenever amico drama happens.

Absolutely, most Amico shills are has-beens with failing retro gaming themed channels. Shilling for the Amico is the last chance at money and attention. I don't think they are so un-critical because they actually think the Amico will be good. It's more because the Amico gets them money and benefits, and keeping their mouths shut about its flaws keeps them coming. As soon as TT disappears, they will most likely be onto the next upcoming new console by a husk of an old company, like the Commodore Vic-2000 or the Epoch Plasma Vision or something.

Im not sure about that since alot of these people were also shitting on the Coleco Chameleon when that shit was going on. The only reason why the amico is any different is because Tommy Tallarico is like a "A-List" celebrity to these people. It less about the system and more about being a groupie to a d-list music composer/tv host. Some of these people legitimately drove across multiple states just so they can drink white claw and play air guitar with Tommy over the weekend.

Thanks for the info, that is an absolutely monster lineup. True video game fans have been clamoring for a new Moon Patrol or Bad Dudes for years. Earthworm Jim 4, a Caveman Ninja remake? They speak for themselves. "Dolphin Quest" is being developed by the original Ecco the Dolphin team. That's the last nail in Sega's coffin. That's it, their next console is dead in the water. And I don't know how these guys got a hold of the Dracula license, but it looks like Castlevania's days are numbered. They stole Frogger right from under Konami's nose as well. Not only was Frogger one of the biggest arcade games of the golden age, it was one of the top-selling PS1 games. It's an IP with longevity, and if the trend holds up, it'll be a megahit in 2022. Soccer, Football, Hockey? They're going straight for EA's throat, taking out the biggest dog in the room. These guys have balls and they understand strategy. They'll be waiting to drop footage until it will cause the max amount of pain for their competitors and leave no time for damage control.

The delays and lack of footage are a red flag, it's too bad because some of those games could be nice. Is that Dolphin Quest game really being made by some of the Echo team?

If only this wasn't a garbage fire situation.

It is and thankfully its been reported as a multiplatform game.

That's good for us as players, but how dumb are they not to lock that into an exclusivity deal? If they could drop the shit like NFTs and all the other nonsense and focus on those kinds of exclusives, I think at the right price this venture could've been successful.

Their whole operation is being ran so poorly it makes 90's Sega look competent. To their credit, the sheer logistics and financial aspect of this kinda project is admittedly probably more convoluted than we think, but I can't help but believe that given the resources that I could do way better than this.

In fact, it's such a mess that the situation almost resembles a less sophisticated Gizmondo-type of money laundering scheme. It's embarrassing the longer this goes on, and I actually was kinda rooting for it when I first heard about it and Earthworm Jim 4.

So alot of news just came out recently. Tommy is no longer CEO but still president of intellivision. The company is so far in debt, 8 million in debt with only about 400k in revenue, that their doing a 4th round of crowd funding and they need $5 million in order for them to stay going or they wont make it past July.

Well. That's that. Now I'm curious about what's going to happen to that EWJ game.
