It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

This just...I love it so much.

Women want equality. Well, here it is. You spend years telling men you need to be a part of their spaces without having to earn it, or else no equality. Now all of a sudden, women get prissy about their own spaces. Fuck off. Either men are welcome as equal partners, or you don't get the claim that you're looking for equality.

Don't act all indignant about that, by the way, feminists. You can't claim to want access to male-dominated spaces, and then act like fainting goats when you actually have to compete with men for space. If men aren't perfect angels before you get the job, they aren't going to be saints when they've got deadlines and an impatient customer to please.

And you can't sit there and say men have to be "allies" (read: simps) in your spaces. If you tell men they need to "know their place"? Yeah, you fucking wrong, bitches.

And I've read that men were being "pushy" and exhibiting lewd behavior against women. I don't believe a single one of those claims. Those are just there to make it easier to exclude men.

There was apparently a large fee to attend for men, so they registered as "non-binary" to get the discount, and since men just found the obvious way to get a discounted admission. Don't hate the playas, hate the stupid game that you supported, fought for, and failed to see the loopholes in.

I love this. I love it when whiny bitches in technical fields get shown up because they weren't smart enough to see the end result of their moronic plans for "inclusivity".

Now if you'll excuse me, I need a cigarette.

After BLM leaders buying high-end mansions, here one BLM leader involved in a hit-and-run.

A prominent activist with the anti-police extremist group "Stop Cop City" was arrested and charged last week in Georgia after he allegedly stole a vehicle, crashed into other vehicles, then ran from the scene, according to authorities.

Matthew V. Johnson, 33, of Atlanta, Georgia has been charged with theft by taking, reckless driving, and hit-and-run, jail records show.

Johnson is accused of stealing a Mercedes-Benz from Express Oil Change and Tire Engineers on Sept. 29. He then went on a rampage and crashed the stolen vehicle into multiple vehicles before running from the scene. Police were able to catch up to Johnson and took him into custody, according to WSB-TV.

Authorities say multiple people were injured by Johnson in the incident.
Congrats for the Darwin award.

Gee I can't imagine why these people are so hostile to cops. It isn't just that they're a bunch of criminal scum afraid of being arrested for their crimes, is it?

Truck rolls over, covers Ontario highway in celery

Traffic was being diverted from an Ontario highway Tuesday due to a truck that rolled over and spilled its load of celery across the roadway.

Ontario Provincial Police said the truck overturned on Highway 400, just south of Highway 9 in the Aurora area, and covered the roadway in celery stalks.

"So much celery," OPP tweeted along with a video of the vegetable-covered highway.

Traffic was being diverted onto Highway 9 while crews worked to clean up the mess, a process that was expected to take several hours. Police urged stuck drivers to be patient.

No injuries were reported from the crash or celery spill.

Hundreds of vagina plaster casts spill onto road after crash (Archive)

Hundreds of white plaster casts of vaginas, believed to have been on their way to an art gallery, fell onto a road in Irkutsk, Russia, last month after a traffic crash.

They came a long way — but probably didn’t make the opening.

Hundreds of white plaster casts of vaginas, believed to have been en route to an art gallery, tumbled onto a road in Irkutsk, Russia, last month after a traffic crash.

Bizarre video footage shot by a passerby on Sept. 22 shows a trail of broken vaginas leading up to the back of a truck, CEN reports.

In the short clip, a man believed to be the driver tries to secure his lost load.

“There was apparently no significant material damage, as no one called the traffic police at the time,” the department regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs later said in a statement.

“After exchanging details, they apparently left to continue their journeys,” the statement continued.

Vaginal art was pioneered by British sculptor Jamie McCartney, who shot to fame for his 26-foot wall installation “The Great Wall of Vagina,” comprised of plaster casts taken from over 400 women’s genitals.

Other unusual cargo that has spilled onto roads in recent years include nacho cheese in Arkansas; dice in Georgia; and tomatoes in California.

An Op-Ed in The Daily Caller went dangerously based.
Americans cannot allow our good nature to let terrorist sympathizers off the hook as they rally across the country. When the face of evil reveals itself, there is only one appropriate response. It’s time for the mother of all cancellations!

Americans, especially conservatives, have a really bad hangover. Remembering better times, too many still languish in the twilight of the Reagan consensus. More speech is always better — or so the received wisdom goes.

For most of our history, the cultural attitude toward free speech absolutism was a natural default. When we all agree on the fundamental principles of our common life, it is quite easy to believe that the freedom to speak one’s mind, no matter how vile, is always a moral good. This assumes, however, that our cultural norms would always set the boundaries of acceptable discourse to an extent that the law need not bother.
When this is the case, more speech is, in fact, better — uninhibited debate allows us to arrive at the optimal decision. Sure, we may disagree along the margins — tax rates, expenditures, or the prudence of some social policy or another — but we all do so toward the same end.

Yet we no longer live in such times. Absent the threat of the Cold War, we have strayed from the consensus that once united us as Americans. The fetishized view of free speech from this moment in history created a false dichotomy that no longer exists.

American freedom of speech became a rallying cry against communism, a symbol of stark contrast in the existential battle between two competing visions of the world. Freedom versus forced conformity, democracy against totalitarianism — to think like them was a mark of shame for all red-blooded Americans.

For those forged in this era, it’s understandable to still hold to the libertarian tendencies of better days. Yet we can no longer even agree if America is a force for good or evil, if men can be women, or if the core liberal principles of equality and blind justice are but a shiny veneer for brutality. As a legal matter, sure; the state can and should permit maximal discourse.

But Americans should no longer be cowed into believing that our culture should allow someone to feel comfortable saying anything and everything out loud. Believing, say, that “justice” can ever include the rape, murder, and torture of women and children is a view that Americans should have fear expressing — not from the government, but from the condemnation and ostracization of their fellow citizens.

As the left is fond of reminding us, freedom of speech does not equal freedom from the consequences. These are the people who destroyed the common good consensus of American free speech in the first place. The American people should show no mercy for those who condone, minimize, or equivocate the terrorist atrocities inflicted upon the state of Israel.
These are the same mean-spirited people who ruined a teenage girl’s life by blasting a video of her singing along to a pop song to the entire nation. They are the people who still demanded “Covington Kid” Nick Sandmann’s head on a spike, even after it was revealed CNN had misrepresented the incident. In the Harvard-specific case, the radical students now begging for your mercy are the type of people who got Parkland-survivor Kyle Kashuv’s offer letter rescinded over leaked private messages from when he was 16 years old.

The dozens of Harvard students groups are but the highest profile example of the radical students who hold Israel “entirely responsible” for the terrorism inflicted upon it. With buses now circling campus exposing their names and faces, and college administrators and future bosses denouncing their heinous views, these students are panicking — walking back their statements and throwing each other under the bus. In the coming days, they will surely make an appeal to the injustice of “cancel culture,” expecting to manipulate Americans’ own latent libertarianism against them.

Don’t fall for it.

They’re grovelling now — but only because they are entitled, narcissistic worms. They believe they deserve the carte blanche to act as our moral arbiters and wish to maintain the power and privilege they hold as America’s most elite victims. But all they want you to do is take a considered breath long enough for them to get away with it.

The truth is, anyone expressing these views is a terrible person. They will never reciprocate your magnanimity. Their appeal to grace, temperance and forgiveness is a cynical ploy to manipulate the fundamental goodness of the American people toward their own vicious ends. They will rabidly cheer on the cancellation of those guilty of far less wicked crimes if allowed to maintain their vaunted positions. They will take your good will and ruin your grandchild’s life the very next day.

The tide is turning against the people who have weaponized free speech over the last decade. They have re-shaped the cultural boundaries of acceptable discourse, but the silent majority now has the long-awaited opportunity to rear its head. Anyone who organizes to defend terrorism should fear the wrath of the American people.

Publish their names. Plaster their smug faces on billboards. Demand their family, friends, bosses, co-workers, schools, advertisers, sponsors, and investors answer for their contemptible views. Give them no quarters. The only way back to a righteous free speech is to purge those who have abused it.
This gives me serious 'Huzzah for the Blackshirts' vibes. I can't tell if this is a troll or not.

‘The Onion’ Stands With Israel Because It Seems Like You Get In Less Trouble For That

The past week has shown humanity at its worst: A horrific terrorist attack left at least 1,300 Israelis dead, among them peace activists and even innocent children. The fates of many more kidnapped civilians still lie in the balance. Meanwhile, statements from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggest retaliation against Palestinians in Gaza will be swift and merciless. More than 1,500 Gazans are already dead, and 338,000 others have been displaced. In moments of turmoil such as this, some believe it is the responsibility of a newspaper of record like The Onion to delve fully into the nuances of a complex and multifaceted conflict that stretches back not just decades but centuries. These people are wrong.

Instead, this editorial board wishes to take this opportunity to declare its full and unequivocal support for Israel because, frankly, it seems like you get in way less trouble for that.

Let us be clear: This is a fraught moment, and one that has polarized not only Americans but people all over the world. It demands incredible sensitivity and strict adherence to journalistic standards of objectivity, and simply put, that is something we aren’t willing to do. Rather, we’re just going to say The Onion expresses its steadfast solidarity with Israel and leave it at that.

Why? First, because this editorial board doesn’t like getting yelled at. Second, there are going to be way fewer people with way less power mad at us. We don’t want to go up against the entire U.S. government, which through President Biden has expressed its unwavering support for Israel. Finally, and more importantly, it’s because we don’t want to and you can’t make us. You can’t. You seriously can’t. You cannot make us do all of this hard stuff. Ever. Seriously.

Furthermore, we should remember that unpacking this conflict in an adequately thorough manner would require examining it through a diverse range of lenses such as antisemitism, Islamic fundamentalism, the Holocaust, imperialism, contact theory, and many more, all while keeping in mind valid but competing narratives of victimhood that span hundreds of years. And we sure as hell aren’t going to mention apartheid. That sounds like an enormous headache. Even worse, our reward for that would be mobs of people screaming at us online. Why would we do that?

Alternatively, we could simply say, “Israel must be fully supported in its military campaign to root out evil in all of its hiding places.” That 19-word sentence would save us the trouble of engaging with this difficult situation. So we’re going to go with that one.

Does that make sense? We think it does.

Our stance becomes increasingly compelling when one considers some alternative scenarios. For instance, The Onion could theoretically say that it stands in solidarity with the bombing victims in Gaza. What would happen then? People would get mad at us. They could threaten our careers. How about if we said we believe the loss of innocent life is wrong no matter what the nationality? That would also result in people getting mad at us. Sometimes these would be different people getting mad, but that doesn’t really change things on our end. And most significantly, it could hurt our quarterly revenue, which is the worst tragedy imaginable.

For those reasons, and many more, we are not going to be endorsing any of those perspectives. Instead, the stance of standing unwaveringly with Israel, now and forever, seems to really be the sweet spot for those looking to avoid dealing with all of this shit.

“What of the tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians killed before this attack?” some may ask. Our response is simply that we aren’t going to engage with that because it would be too hard. We also won’t be addressing Palestinians living in refugee camps without access to clean water, electricity, or housing. Others may ask, “Isn’t it your responsibility to provide context, particularly on thorny issues such as this one?” To that, we merely say: No, shut up. You’re being annoying.

Perhaps some would call on us to point out the obvious moral hypocrisy of those far-left Americans who bandy about terms like “war criminal” while turning a blind eye to what amounts to an unconscionable war crime on the part of Hamas. But we are also not going to do that. Why? Because people will get angry with us—extremely irritating people, to be clear—and we just don’t want to deal with it. We have enough going on without them getting on our case. The water main broke in our office last Friday and dealing with the super has been a whole thing. He keeps avoiding our calls because obviously he’s going to have to eat the cost of the sump pump. There’s also a bunch of ad sales stuff that we’re negotiating with the business side. So why would we add defending ourselves against online criticism over one of the most incendiary topics in human history to the list of headaches we’re already dealing with? Why?

The answer is that we won’t.

Some may call us cowards for our decision. To this, we can only say the following: If a coward is a person who avoids taking a difficult stance on topics for personal expediency, then “coward” is a badge this editorial board will gladly wear, again and again and again.

But wait, there's more as they said in infomercials.
ASU President Michael Crow was silent last week as pro-Hamas "protestors" denigrated Jewish students on campus, but he worked over the weekend and sent an official email smearing TPUSA after "queer" ASU professor David Boyles attacked our cameraman. Here's the video evidence, clear as day.
The person who support David Boyle in a tweet, should be careful if and when someone found his hidden skeletons in his closet.

Florida GameStop employee charged after fatally shooting suspected shoplifter, police say

A GameStop clerk in Florida has been charged with manslaughter after police say he fatally shot a shoplifter.

According to police in Pembroke Pines, Florida, 33-year-old Derrick Guerrero confronted an adult male after he saw him shoplifting from the GameStop, where Gurrero worked.

Pembroke Pines is a city in Broward County, Florida, located 22 miles north of Miami.

The Associated Press reported that the man grabbed five boxes of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet “ultra-premium” trading cards, which retail for $120 a box, and ran toward the door.

When the man, who police did not identify, ran toward the GameStop door with merchandise, police said Guerrero allegedly pulled a concealed firearm from his waistband and shot once, hitting the victim in the torso.

The man did not threaten Guerrero or display a weapon, police said. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Guerrero was taken into custody, and has been charged with manslaughter.

Jon Stewart’s Apple TV Plus show ends, reportedly over coverage of AI and China

Archive

Snagging Jon Stewart to host a new political talk show after his departure from The Daily Show was one of Apple TV Plus’ biggest achievements when The Problem With Jon Stewart was first announced back in 2020. But ahead of production kicking off on the show’s third season, Stewart and Apple have reportedly parted ways over “creative differences,” and The Problem is coming to an end.

The New York Times reports that along with concerns about some of the guests booked to be on The Problem With Jon Stewart, Stewart’s intended discussions of artificial intelligence and China were a major concern for Apple. Though new episodes of the show were scheduled to begin shooting in just a few weeks, staffers learned today that production had been halted.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, ahead of its decision to end The Problem, Apple approached Stewart directly and expressed its need for the host and his team to be “aligned” with the company’s views on topics discussed. Rather than falling in line when Apple threatened to cancel the show, Stewart reportedly decided to walk.

We’ve reached out to Apple for comment about news of the cancellation but did not hear back in time for publication.

The Times’ report doesn’t detail what about the show’s planned coverage of artificial intelligence and China prompted Apple’s executive leadership to butt heads with Stewart. But considering how pointed criticality is a big part of what ultimately made The Problem With Jon Stewart a hit for Apple TV Plus and how maintaining a cordial relationship with China is crucial to Apple’s future plans for growth, it doesn’t come as a shock to see the show hit the chopping block this way.

Michigan State Scoreboard Shows Pic of Hitler Before Michigan Game
1697984734368.png
Michigan State’s embarrassment Saturday night was not confined to the football field. Before the Spartans’ game against rival Michigan, their scoreboard operators posted a trivia question about Hitler, complete with a giant image of the Nazi dictator.

The trivia question apparently asked fans, “What country was Adolf Hitler born in?” Then, a smiling image of Hitler appeared with the answer, Austria, off to the lower left side of the screen.

X users reacted to the shocking display as you might expect X users to respond.

The incident reportedly occurred because the scoreboard operators posted a trivia video from YouTube and evidently didn’t scrutinize it carefully enough.

Michigan State apologized for the trivia question and vowed never to use “third-party” scoreboard operators again.

“MSU is aware that inappropriate content by a third-party source was displayed on the video board prior to the start of tonight’s football game,” MSU spokesperson Matt Larson said in a statement. “We are deeply sorry for the content that was displayed, as this is not representative of our institutional values. MSU will not be using the third-party source going forward and will implement stronger screening and approval procedures for all videoboard content in the future.”

Michigan State lost to Michigan 49-0.

I'm sure the company who paid for that billboard space is a bit less than thrilled to be forever associated with the mustache man. Appears to be run by a Michigan State alumni. The company's colors even match the school's. Cute little football in the logo, too.

To me, the funny thing is it's only funny/offensive out of context.
I'll bet nobody objected to the original trivia video. It's a perfectly cromulent trivia question.
It's when you put mustard on your hot dog and glance up at the billboard without really paying attention and you see Hitler grinning down at you that you go "...the fuck?!"
