It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

Not surprising to see NY Governor Hochul practicing "do as I said, not as I do".

The post-Bruen tantrums in the legal landscape have been nothing short of a nightmare for New Yorkers. After New York’s corrupt, discretionary permitting scheme was struck down, the Empire State struck back, passing a lot of laws that made life objectively worse for gun owners in New York. It’s fair to say that New York gun owners are in far worse shape today than they were before the landmark Bruen decision....

...Was Hochul there to tell former Sayeret Matkal commando Benjamin Netanyahu to make the Gaza Border a “sensitive place” like Times Square?

While in Israel, Hochul was spotted wearing body armor which she didn’t hesitate to ban for the proles she lords over (archived links):

OPINION: Drinking a Cup of Starbucks is Drinking a Cup of Jewish Blood

NEW JERSEY (Duvi Honig / VINnews) — Starbucks Union representing almost 9,000 baristas, Starbucks Workers United, shockingly expressing “solidarity with Hamas” following the heartbreaking Hamas attack on innocent Israelis, where over 1,200 lives were tragically lost in the most barbaric murderous ways which includes Shooting infants, young children and burning whole families of human civilians alive.

Over the years, we have witnessed numerous instances of corporations making ill-advised decisions that affected the profits of their decision-makers. Examples such as Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, owned by Unilever, and, more recently, Budweiser Anheuser-Busch, whose profits in the US experienced a substantial decline after the highly controversial Bud Light ad campaign perpetrated by Dylan Mulvaney. However, it is essential to highlight that these marketing campaigns, despite their faults, were not in any way endorsing or supporting the mass barbaric murder of innocent civilians, including infants, children, women, and the elderly and were solely corporate marketing bad decisions.

The solidarity shown by the Starbucks Union, consisting of a whopping 9,000 employees, is disturbing beyond measure. It is a support that extends to a family of 20 innocent souls who were ruthlessly shot, piled up, and burned alive by Hamas. The sheer brutality displayed in this act is difficult to process. How can we, as consumers, be comfortable allowing Starbucks employees, who express such solidarity with perpetrators of egregious violence, to serve us our daily cup of coffee? Should we not feel troubled by the fact that the very cup we hold in our hands might symbolize something far more sinister – the blood of innocent Jews, whose lives these employees openly align with?

It is with a heavy heart that the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce, along with our esteemed partners, calls for a widespread boycott of Starbucks. We also implore all the groups that have previously demonstrated their concern by boycotting Budweiser to once again stand united in boycotting Starbucks and show their solidarity for the value of human life. Your voice, combined with ours, will send a strong message against the normalization of violence and hatred.

Let us all take a moment to reflect on the choices we make and the implications they carry. When we sip on a Starbucks coffee, should we not be aware of the possibility that we may be unknowingly consuming more than just a caffeinated beverage? Furthermore, can we truly separate the taste of our coffee from the painful imagery of innocent lives lost and the solidarity expressed by those serving us? The very thought leaves a deep, unsettling unease in the mind and heart.

Please join us in raising awareness about this distressing issue. Share this Boycott with friends, family, and coworkers, urging them to reevaluate their choices and consider the implications of supporting Starbucks. Together, let us make a resounding statement against the indifference displayed towards the loss of innocent lives and demand accountability from corporations whose workers actions align with those who perpetrate such horrific acts with its workers using the brands name to send a message to the entire world Via the vast reach of Starbucks a leading business in commerce to support barbaric murder of innocent civilians .

We must stand together to protect the value of human life and call our those who don’t.

Oddball animal stories:
Lion cub found wandering on road in northern Serbia, taken to zoo (Archive)
01.jpg
A lion cub, only a few months old, was taken to a zoo in northern Serbia on Thursday after it was seen wandering on a local road, officials and media said.

The female cub, found on the outskirts of Subotica, a town near the border with Hungary, was malnourished and weak, said Sonja Mandic, from the Palic Zoo.

Local media said that a Subotica resident spotted the cub on the road and called the police, who then took it to the zoo.

A video on social media shows the cub appearing from the grass and stepping onto the road.

Reports also said that the cub was friendly and wasn’t afraid of people.

A policeman and local residents could be seen in other videos and photos caressing the cub.

Police are yet to issue an official statement.

The smuggling of wild and rare animals is believed to be widespread in the Balkan region.
Florida gator missing upper jaw gets fitting name inspired by hit song (Archive)

A Florida alligator who went viral for missing most of her upper jaw got a fitting country-song inspired name.

The critter was given the moniker “Jawlene,” after the Dolly Parton song “Jolene,” after a public call on social media.

“This little gator is an absolute treasure, we are so in love with her, but another American treasure is Dolly Parton,” McHugh said.

“One of the names that kind of rung really clear with us and grew on us was a takeoff on one of Dolly’s famous songs, so we’re going to name this little gator, ‘Jawlene.'”

Park employees are uncertain what caused the animal to lose a portion of its jaw.

“Don’t know exactly what happened. It could’ve been a number of things, could have been another alligator, maybe even a boat propeller because it’s a pretty clean injury that went across, but it sealed over, she’s been eating,” Mike Hileman, a Gatorland director, told News 6.

“This isn’t the first type of alligator we have taken in with this type of injury,” he continued.

“We’ve had several others and we’ve been able to keep those healthy, growing. They’re now years old and I don’t see any other reasons why this one can’t do the same thing.”

The gator went viral after its photos circulated on social media, but Hileman says she is still “very humble” for now.

“I mean, she’s really getting a lot of attention right now. I hope it doesn’t go to her head and become a little diva,” he told WINK News.

“But right now, she’s very good, very down to Earth.”
Parrot stolen 3 years ago reunited with owner after telling cops its name (Archive)

He really squawked to the cops.

A parrot has been reunited with its owner three years after it was stolen in France — after shouting out its name to police.

A vendor tried to sell the West African grey parrot last week near the Old Port of Marseilles, but the species is protected and the birds cannot be sold, the Times of London reported.

When police seized the talkative bird, which had no identification, it began to squawk, “Jako, Jako, Jako” — a traditional name for parrots in France, like Polly.

But one of the cops remembered that a colleague who had lost his parrot with the same name in 2020 told fellow officers that the bird would say its name if found, the report said.

At long last, the officer was reunited with Jako at an animal shelter, where the bird’s identity was confirmed, according to the outlet, which cited La Provence.

“The bird shouted its name as soon as it saw its owner,” according to the report.

West African grey parrots are worth about $2,000 and are frequently stolen to be sold illegally.

In 2014, a parrot called Nigel, which had a British accent, was found speaking only Spanish in Los Angeles after going missing for four years, according to the Times of London.

“Que paso [What happened]?” it asked the Spanish-speaking woman who found it and turned it in. It was microchipped and the owner was located.

In 2008, a Japanese woman called authorities after she found a similar parrot in her garden in suburban Tokyo. The bird gave its name and address to police, the outlet reported.

A plaque honouring the 'first black Briton' has been removed after DNA analysis suggested she was not actually of African origin.

The sign celebrating the 1,800-year-old remains of 'Beachy Head Lady' was taken down after scientific research revealed she was 'most likely from Cyprus'.

The plaque was placed in an east Sussex village by BBC Two as part of their 2016 Black and British series where they billed the woman as the earliest 'black Briton', claiming she was of African origin.

However, subsequent DNA analysis has suggested the BBC programme's claims were wrong, the Telegraph reported.

The study, by the Crick Institute, found that while she grew up in Eastbourne, her origins were actually in 'southern Europe – most likely Cyprus'.

The now-removed plaque read: 'The remains of "Beachy Head Woman" were found near this site.

'Of African origin, she lived in East Sussex 2nd –3rd century AD.'

It had been installed at the village's East Dean cricket club, close to where archaeologists had discovered the 1,800-year-old remains of the woman.

Sorry for double posting but Venezuela's migrants aka Maduro's gangsters army do their mess in Dallas, Chicago and Miami.
Henchmen for Venezuela's dictator and many of the South American country's worst criminals have crossed over the US border and are now causing chaos in major American cities, including Dallas, Miami and Chicago, multiple sources tell the DailyMail.com.

In Dallas, the Venezuelan neighborhood known as 'Villa Dallas' has descended into mayhem. For months, once peaceful apartment complexes have been the scene of illegal street races, beatings, shootings and extortion attempts.

Residents, overwhelmingly migrants who recently made the harrowing trek through several countries to reach America and are seeking asylum, pointed to videos of fights between armed men, broken windows and reckless drivers speeding through parking lots.

One disturbing clip shows a man with a shirt over his head wailed on by several men. The man appears to be unconscious until he moves his arm and is then kicked in the head.

Meanwhile, a car's tires can be heard screeching in the background as shots are fired into the air.

Las Vegas Aces celebrate their 2023 WNBA Finals win

OutKick’s Clay Travis remains convinced that a high school boys basketball team could beat a WNBA team. He’s so convinced, in fact, that he’s willing to bet $1 million on it.

The WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces recently won their second straight championship, cementing their place as one of the greatest teams in the league’s history. Days after this championship, users on Twitter reposted a February clip of Travis making the claim that a “good state championship-level” high school boys team would “smoke” the reigning WNBA champions.
wnba01.PNG
The clip has been met with backlash online and even got the attention of Aces guard Chelsea Gray.

Gray — a three-time champion — had just one word for the commentator.

“Dumbass,” Gray tweeted Wednesday.

Travis responded to the tweet on Friday, More than eight months since first making the claim, he remained adamant that a high school team could beat a professional women’s team.

“I’ll put a million dollars on the line,” Travis tweeted. “Your WNBA champion team against a 2024 high school boy’s state champion team of my choice. You guys win, you get a million bucks of my money, my team wins, you all pay me a million and I give it all to the boy’s high school team. You in?”

In a follow-up tweet Travis added that the matchup would be the “most watched WNBA game of all time.”

The prediction came days after it was revealed the WNBA Finals between the Aces and the New York Liberty was the most-viewed championship in 20 years.

Utah man ordered to remove Halloween display featuring pole-dancing skeleton (Archive)

01.jpg
They had a bone to pick with him.

A Utah community has ordered a resident to strip his “risqué” Halloween display from public property – one featuring a pole-dancing skeleton.

Christopher Fujishin’s display featured two skeletal onlookers offering money while “watching” another skeleton with a purple wig “dancing” on a city stop sign just outside his home in Grantsville, KSTU reported.

“Maybe a little risqué for some people but it’s all in the name of fun,” Fujishin told the outlet.

The city posted a photo of the display to its Facebook page, where it told him he had until 9 p.m. Oct. 18 to remove it.

“Displays like this are not acceptable as it is against city code to attach anything to a street sign,” read the post.

The warning was later removed — but not before going viral and dividing the community.

“I guess teaching our children respect, decency and manners has gone by the side,” one user commented in favor of the city’s decision to remove it.

“If your kids understand what that is maybe the problem’s not the skeleton dancing on the pole, maybe it’s something else,” Fujishin replied.

He complied with the order and moved the skeletons to his own yard, where some residents expressed their support for his display – some also bringing more skeletons and decorations.

“We’re going to go tip them when we leave,” Carrie Sly, a server at The Outpost, told KSTU. “We know what it’s like to work for tips.”

“I think it brings a lot of good humor that we need to a small town,” resident Brandee Harris said.

Fujishin also found it all very humerus, saying: “We look forward to keeping this going and getting a little more elaborate as we go.”

Reported ‘human remains’ turn out to be skull-shaped beer bong: ‘Trick-or-treat’ (Archive)

02.jpg
It was one funny bone.

Authorities in Washington state fell victim to a Halloween prank after they responded to a call about a human skeleton — only to find it was a skull-shaped beer bong.

A Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife police officer, a Pend Oreille detective and a border patrol agent responded to a report of human remains spotted by paddleboarders inside of a cave on the Pend Oreille River near the Canadian Border last week, according to WDWF.

The WDWF officer and detective entered the cave entrance on jet skis, then jumped in the water and swam to further investigate.

The wildlife officer dove down to get a closer look with a pair of goggles loaned from a local boater only to discover, fortunately, that he had been duped.

The “remains” ended up being nothing more than a plastic skull beer battle that a prankster had stuffed full of rocks to look like a skeleton.

“Little did they know the trick worked, maybe too well,” the department said.

Is your engagement ring haunted? 3 ways to clear bad energy, according to an expert (Archive)

03.jpg
If your boo proposed with a second-hand ring or a family heirloom, there’s a chance it could be haunted.

In the last year, “searches for second-hand jewelry” and “second-hand rings” have increased by 83% and 30%, respectively, according to Angelic Diamonds.

Since engagement rings are often passed down within a family from generation to generation, many believe that they can hold energy from the previous owner.

However, their energy might not be compatible with yours, and could even be jinxed.

“Every person has their own vibration, their own energy. Every person’s vibrational frequency is totally unique to them,” celebrity psychic Inbaal Honigman told Angelic Diamonds. “This is why, even in a dark alley, we can tell if there’s someone behind us, and we can sometimes recognize people even if we don’t see them — we sense their energy.”

Honigman explained that every item has its own vibrational frequency, and when it’s used for a long time, the energy becomes familiar and feels natural to the user.

“People and objects share energy all the time, and people share energy all the time, so when we own a piece of jewelry for a while, it takes on some of our energy, it vibrates at a different frequency, a little similar to our own,” Honigman explained. “That jewel becomes a part of our world, and when that object leaves us, it maintains a small part of us in its vibrational field.”

However, if a pre-owned piece of jewelry sits unworn for a long time, it’s possible the energy can return to its original state of equilibrium. If the piece is given to a new owner quickly, some of the charge from the previous owner will stay in the jewel, Honigman said.

In some cases, the contrasting energies between the previous and current owner can be so intense and affect people to the point where they get rid of the piece, Honigman said.

Some jewelry can be considered more haunted than others, based on the material of the piece, since all materials have different frequencies, she said.

“Metal will pick up a lot of energy from the wearer, whereas a wooden artifact might not pick up on as much,” Honigman said. “Gold and silver rings hold onto a lot of energy from their previous wearers. Other metals are the same.”

Honigman is not suggesting that you shouldn’t wear a second-hand engagement ring or family heirloom if you have one. However, there are ways to get rid of the bad juju if there is concern about a haunted piece, she advised.

She shared with Angelic Diamonds some psychic-approved ways to cleanse the jewelry of any spirit remaining from the previous wearer.

Wash under running water

Water is cooling and cleansing, and open water in particular, such as a stream or the ocean, will help the energies to dissolve faster, Honigman suggested.

“Let the cooling, cleansing fresh water wash any worries out of your new item.”

Utilize the sun and moon

“Leaving the ring on a window ledge, so that the sun fades out the unwanted energies. Then, the moon recharges the ring with its own blessed vibrations, is another lovely option,” she said.

If choosing to go this route, it’s important to make sure that the material of the ring won’t be damaged by sun exposure. Check what temperatures the ring can withstand and if the specific stone is one that dulls in sunlight.

Hold the jewels in incense

“Holding the jewel in some incense smoke for a moment can also work to remove anything unfortunate from the piece,” Honigman told Angelic Diamonds.

Just be sure that the materials being used won’t tarnish the metal or damage the stones.

I notice none of them are people "of color", not even for Illinois.

I got a hearty chuckle out of more than a few of those. Sure, maybe not everyone in a given state looks like their AI image, but I'm sure everyone knows someone who does.

They're all White because they know we can take a joke and can laugh at ourselves. If they used anyone else, the screeching would go on for days and get the entire AI field lobotomized (again).

Some of these are pretty awesome. I liked the Nevada soyface, the Maryland crabs, and the fat chocolate smeared Pennsylvanian kid, but Oklahoma and Montana would make me want to move there pronto.

That's the funny part. White people don't care if you insult our race. It's like, oh, you're pointing out we're the master race again? Thanks!

You just called me a honky? You're goddamn right I'm a honky! Wouldn't have it any other way!

Unfortunately Russia has already surrendered some babies to the buyers and will probably surrender the rest, we're still corrupt as fuck and selling children within Russia is still legal. But I hope this will be a deterrent to would-be slavers.
