It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

Bill Maher did a rant to dems about illegal immigration. https://www.zerohedge.com/political...re-full-shit-when-it-comes-illegal-immigrants

Bill Maher may be a little slow on the uptake when it comes to his willingness to call out disastrous Democrat policies and irrational leftist arguments, but at least he's not afraid to go against the grain when the epiphanies strike.

Conservatives and some moderates have been pointing out the Democrat insanity on illegal immigration for some time now, specifically the indignant rage leftists express over red states bussing migrants to major Democrat "sanctuary cities."

As Bill Maher notes, these city governments often pontificate on the virtues of the "American melting pot" until they are faced with housing and feeding thousands of migrants that pack the streets and the parks. Democrats support illegal immigration as long as they never have to deal with those migrants on their doorstep. A humanitarian crisis is forming in New York, DC, Chicago, etc. and it is entirely caused by the political left's unwillingness to admit that they were wrong.

When one realizes that most illegals are only in this country with the intent to collect on as many entitlement handouts as possible, the delusion of the hard working migrant seeking out the American dream quickly fades and reality sets in.

Colorado woman in blackface terrorizes Target, Starbucks with unhinged rants

A former Colorado postal worker in blackface was captured on video terrorizing a Target and Starbucks with unhinged rants about “whiteface” and politics.

Ersilia Campbell walked into an Aurora Target store with her face smeared in dark makeup earlier this week, a video obtained by TMZ shows.

“Lester Holt did ‘whiteface’ and nobody said s–t,” Campbell can be heard telling an employee who confronted her about the offensive face paint.

NBC journalist Holt, who is black, dressed up as British singer Susan Boyle for an episode of the “Today” show over 10 years ago.

Campbell also demanded to see the store’s Pride section, and became frustrated when the gobsmacked workers told her that Pride Month ended in June.

“Oh, I thought they were celebrating this and they took our flag forever, no?” Campbell retorted, presumably referring to LGBTQIA+ Pride’s signature rainbow flag.

“I don’t shop at Target,” she grumbled as she strutted out of the store.

But her bizarre, racist behavior was far from over.

Later that day, Campbell posted a selfie video from a local Starbucks, where she was still in blackface and had Donald Trump campaign stickers on her Mickey Mouse shirt.

“I never treat myself to Starbucks since the post office got rid of me,” she said.

“Trump is coming … I’m showing my t–ies,” she joked, leaning back to show off the two stickers.

Campbell’s LinkedIn lists her as an operations supervisor at the United State Postal Service, but she was let go in February, TMZ reported.

In the Starbucks video, however, Campbell tells the camera that she is on her “way to the post office for a job.”

“They will never recognize my picture now,” she giggles maniacally, referring to the blackface.

On Tuesday, the USPS distributed a bulletin to current employees that identified Campbell as a trespasser, according to a photo obtained by TMZ.

The paper urged workers to alert the Postal Inspection Service if she returned.

Campbell also previously ranted against her former co-workers, whom she called “some of the loneliest, miserable, trashiest, lazy people in my life,” the outlet said.

One director of Bronx anti-violence organization was busted for drug traffic.

Investigators found that Bronx anti-gun violence activist Michael Rodriguez was hiding “in plain sight” when they seized illegal guns and drugs from his Yonkers apartment.

Orange County New York law enforcement officials announced the arrests of 15 people for an alleged interstate drug trafficking conspiracy on Tuesday. Said to be the main supplier of the drug network was 48-year-old Michael Rodriguez — a Yonkers resident and the director of the nonprofit Good Shepherd Services’ program Bronx Rises Against Gun Violence, known as B.R.A.G.

The Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler said that Rodriguez could now face 12.5-25 years on conspiracy charges, and up to 24 years for cocaine possession. He was booked at Orange County Jail without bail last Thursday, where he remains.

Couple of odd crime stories:
Woman, 87, fights off home invader, then feeds him ‘peanut butter and crackers’ in kitchen(Archive)
Screen-Shot-2023-08-03-at-10258-AM.jpg

An 87-year-old retired teacher in Maine fought off a home invader — then fed him snacks in her kitchen before calling the police last week, according to local reports.

Marjorie Perkins was asleep in bed in her Brunswick home when she was awoken at 2 a.m. to the terrifying sight of a person looming above her.

“I woke up to see a male standing over me by my bed, telling me he was going to cut me,” Perkins told News Center Maine.

The quick-thinking woman, who lives alone, said she quickly got out of bed and put on shoes to be ready to defend herself.

“I thought to myself, ‘If he’s going to cut, I’m going to kick.’ So I jumped into my shoes,” she told the Times Record.

The teenage invader pushed Perkins against the wall and began hitting her, she said — but she struck him back.

She reached for a nearby chair to use as a shield and whacked him with it repeatedly as she screamed for help.

“He kept punching me and pushing me,” Perkins told the Times Record, adding she suffered a bruise to her forehead from a blow.

Apparently, all the fighting worked up the teen’s appetite and he walked into the kitchen despite Perkins’ demands that he leave her home and get help.

“He said he was awfully hungry and hadn’t had anything to eat for quite a while,” she told the newspaper. “And I said, ‘Well, here’s a box of peanut butter and honey crackers. You can have that whole box.’ I gave him two containers of Ensure and I gave him two tangerines.”

While the intruder snacked in her kitchen, Perskins dialed 911 on her rotary phone “as fast as [she] could,” she said.

The teenager left before cops arrived, but a police dog was able to track him down a few blocks away, where he was staying.

He was arrested and charged with burglary, criminal threatening, assault, and consuming liquor as a minor, the Times Record reported.

Perkins said he had a water bottle filled with alcohol with him when he broke into her home.

The teen, whose name and age have not been released, is being held at the Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland.

Perkins said she actually recognized her alleged attacker as a boy who used to mow her lawn many years ago and believed he was about 17 years old now, according to the local publication.

“He did a darn good job,” she said. “I hope he gets help.”

The former elementary school teacher and line dancing instructor said she believes the boy got into her home by pushing aside a screen next to her window-unit AC and climbing through the open space.

Perkins said is OK despite the terrifying ordeal and said was glad she didn’t let fear overpower her and stop her from defending herself.

“Don’t sit and cry about it… Be ready to kick and pick up a chair and hit somebody with it,” she said laughing.
Oklahoma man drives flagpole through victim’s head inside Sonic: ‘That’s what he gets’(Archive)
NYPICHPDPICT000018868429.jpg

An Oklahoma man is lucky to be alive after a convict drove a flagpole — with an American flag attached — through his skull at a fast food restaurant Wednesday, police said.

Clinton Collins allegedly attacked the unidentified victim around 7:30 p.m. at a Sonic in the Tulsa Hills neighborhood in front of multiple witnesses, Tulsa police said.

“That’s what he gets. He deserved it,” Collins allegedly said as he stabbed the man with the makeshift weapon.

According to cops, the pole entered the victim’s head beneath his jaw and exited the other side of his cranium near his right temple.

Collins was immediately taken into custody and charged with maiming, according to cops.

“Like you’d see in a TV show or a horror movie, ran at him and stabbed him through the head,” Officer Danny Bean told 2 News.

“Went through the bottom and out through the other side.”

The American flag was still attached to the pole at the time, the department said in a statement.

Tulsa firefighters had to cut part of the flagpole so the victim could fit inside the ambulance.

Miraculously, he will likely only lose an eye, police said.

Maiming is a felony crime in Oklahoma that carries a punishment of up to life in prison.

Police did not disclose what led to the strange attack inside the fast food chain.

Because he is a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, it is unclear whether his case will be handled in tribal court or US District Court.

In 2020, the Supreme Court ruled that Oklahoma prosecutors lack the authority to pursue criminal cases against defendants who are tribal citizens in a large chunk of eastern Oklahoma because it remains an American Indian reservation. That area includes most of Tulsa, the state’s second-largest city.

However, last year, the Supreme Court ruled that Oklahoma can prosecute non-Native Americans for crimes committed on tribal land when the victim is Native American.

biker1.jpg

The mysterious biker, known on Twitter as @azusagakuyuki, was exposed on the Monday Late Show, a popular Japanese variety show where hosts discuss the hottest and wackiest topics across the country. The production team had apparently tracked the biker down and found, instead of a bright-eyed young woman, an almost equally bright-eyed middle-aged man.

The unnamed 50-year-old admitted in the show that he uses FaceApp, the photo editing tool that can drastically alter one’s appearance, including their age and gender. He has been using it to turn himself into the Twitter-famous biker chick and even gamely demonstrated his process on TV. He apparently resorted to this kawaii persona for the social media popularity.
“If a girl like her existed, anybody would go crazy for her, right?” he said on the TV show.

Chris Christie gifts Zelensky handwritten lyrics to Bon Jovi’s ‘It’s My Life’ as ‘inspiration’

By
Ryan King

New Jersey ex-Gov. Chris Christie is doing his part to make sure Ukraine can take heart from more than living on a prayer.

During an unannounced visit to the war-torn nation Friday, Christie gifted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky handwritten lyrics to the Bon Jovi hit “It’s My Life” from the famed signer himself.

“[The song] served as an inspiration for a lot of the citizens in Odessa, as they were preparing for the invasion by the Russians,” Christie told CNN’s”State of the Union” Sunday.

“[Bon Jovi] wrote it out in his own hand, got it framed, and I brought it to President Zelensky … and said that this is representative of many of the American people and what they feel about the cause that’s being fought for in Ukraine.”

Christie became the second current 2024 GOP presidential contender to visit Ukraine, following former Vice President Mike Pence, who did so in June.

On the Democrat side, President Biden also swung through the besieged nation in February to mark the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion.

In the Sunday interview, the Garden State native recounted some of the horrific brutality he observed during his trip to Ukraine, which he billed as a fact-finding mission.

Christie has long defended US support of Ukraine — including to conservative grumblings.

He said he wants the American people to “know about the atrocities that were being and are being committed against the free Ukrainian people.”

“I went to the town of Bucha where I went to a shallow grave of 160 civilians who were executed by the Russian army,” Christie recounted. “But before they were executed, for many of them, their eyes were gouged out. Their ears were cut off.”

“Then their hands were tied behind their back and they were shot in the back of the head by Russian soldiers. Civilians. Not soldiers, civilians,” Christie stressed. “Then Russian soldiers went in and raped the mothers and the daughters that were in the house after the men of the house had been killed.”

He also took note of how Ukraine has been heavily outgunned by its Russian neighbors, including by a “nearly 11 to one” ratio in artillery.

In familiar Christie style, the ex-governor also zinged former President Donald Trump for describing Russian President Vladimir Putin as brilliant and an excellent leader.

“That’s the kind of thing that Donald Trump will bring back to the presidency,” Christie warned.

Bon Jovi’s music was played by Ukrainians ahead of some of Russia’s most brutal offensives on the battlefield.

The 60-year-old presidential hopeful has long been a diehard fan of New Jersey rock stars Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen.

“I love them both,” he previously told The Post when asked about which one was his favorite.

The guys of American Thinker posted a good rant about director Oliver Stone who regrets to vote for Biden.

Oliver Stone concedes that voting for war-mongering Joe Biden was a grave error

By Rajan Laad

Filmmaker Oliver Stone, known for masterly films such as JFK, Platoon, Natural Born Killers, and Wall Street, recently spoke at length on comedian Russell Brand's podcast regarding a range of issues.
Stone was promoting his latest documentary Ukraine on Fire, which details the U.S. using Ukraine as a proxy against Russia for many years. It also covers the ousting of Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych following a "coup d'état" aided by the Obama administration in 2014....

....Michael Moore famously attacked Bush for the war in Iraq in an Oscars speech:

Predictably, Bush-supporters despised the move, while Democrats cheered him, and the charade continued.

If these people were really peaceniks, then they would have all supported President Trump because he is the only modern president not to begin a new foreign conflict.

But nothing of the kind occurred.

In D.C., funding for the Ukraine war has been one of the rare displays of unanimity.

How is Hollywood reacting?

Michael Moore is meekly critical of the war but hasn't blamed Biden.

The rest of Hollywood no longer condemns war because warring is the new groupthink....

Looks like Feinstein is the new RBG.

Iconic ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ home now a lovely Southern restaurant — but subtly embraces its eerie roots

Double-check with the staff before ordering any vegan entrees.

Horror fans making their way through Kingsland, Texas, are in for a horrifically nostalgic dining experience if they stop at Hooper’s — a lovely Victorian building turned eatery that was once the home of the fictional cannibal Sawyer family from the 1974 classic “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.”

“It really feels like you’re stepping right into the movie set,” TikToker @theparanormalprincess_ shared with her fans as she visited the restaurant last month.

Bearing its name from the film’s screenwriter and director, Tobe Hooper, guests will have a chance to enjoy their meal in the same dining room where Leatherface and his deranged family once munched on their victims.

Not overwhelming its space with the same makeup as the fictional cannibalistic family would, it’s decorated subtlety with memorabilia from the cult classic — including signed photos from ‘Leatherface’ himself — actor Gunnar Hansen — and the film’s narrator, John Larroquette.

The casual Southern restaurant’s menu even hosts a delightful nod to the macabre masterpiece.

These include “Grandpa Sawyer,” “The Ripper” and “No One Lives Forever” — three drinks on the cocktail menu

The home was taken from the original filming location in Round Rock, Texas, and moved to its current location in the 1990s to persevere the treasured piece of slasher film history.

Court throws out conviction after judge says Black man ‘looks like a criminal to me’

DETROIT (AP) — An appeals court on Thursday overturned the drug conviction of a Black man, saying his rights were violated by a Detroit federal judge who was upset over delays in the case and declared: “This guy looks like a criminal to me.”

“Such remarks are wholly incompatible with the fair administration of justice,” the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said.

U.S. District Judge Stephen Murphy III, who is white, apologized nearly two years later when the case against Leron Liggins finally was ready for trial. He explained that he was mad at the time “and I regret it.”

Nonetheless, the appeals court said Murphy should have removed himself as Liggins’ attorney had requested. The court threw out a heroin distribution conviction and 10-year prison sentence and ordered a new trial with a different judge.

Related coverage
Allowing the conviction to stand “would substantially undermine the public’s confidence in the judicial process,” 6th Circuit Judge Eric Clay said in a 3-0 opinion.

Prosecutors said the remark was a reference to Liggins’ alleged conduct, not his appearance. But the appeals court said a “reasonable observer” could interpret it differently.

Murphy said he lost his composure in 2020 after Liggins repeatedly had switched between wanting to plead guilty and choosing a trial and also failed to get along with his second lawyer. He ended up with four.

“I’m tired of this case. I’m tired of this defendant. I’m tired of getting the runaround. This has been going on since February 6, 2018,” Murphy said in court.

“This guy looks like a criminal to me. This is what criminals do,” Murphy said. “This isn’t what innocent people who want a fair trial do. He’s indicted in Kentucky. He’s indicted here. He’s alleged to be dealing heroin, which addicts, hurts and kills people, and he’s playing games with the court.”

At trial in 2021, Murphy, a judge for 15 years, apologized and said he could be fair to Liggins.

“I lost my head,” he said.
