New story mode video. We are so back bros
> It's like the set of Friends.
> I wanna be Chandler.
> There's an opening.

Absolutely brutal. The game itself is so shit it's amazing. Like who the fuck could think "let's lie about a child going into a cave alone". The climax had the group do an incredibly risky stunt rather than literally go the other way and letting the boy climb with a rope.

Holy shit, I went through the funeral scene and I think the writer is a legit sociopath who doesn't understand humans and emotions:
* Using the "He was the worst X" is very disrespectful in a wake.
* Some retarded conspiracy to kill MC brother that wouldn't have worked had the characters arrived 5 minutes early.
* MC needs to understand someone is sad because a person they knew died.
* BTW I'M BISEXUAL.
* The MC is barely phased by the event.

I guess I don't have the empathy superpower, because I can't imagine being the writer for this goyslop game and not being ashamed of what I wrote. Pretty much every other woke game has at least something about writing that's not garbage. Not this though. It's like a plot and characters were written by an early AI model trained on fanfiction.net.

That's the funniest part of the whole game. Especially when the main character is an "empath".

Edit:

I ain't a lawyer, but she should take the settlement. If you reject the settlement, that money will just get dumped into the legal system thus triggering all the noise of taxation and you end up winning nothing and the settlement is now partially going to Israel and Ukraine.

That's pretty much the point of it irl. Better for both sides than a protracted legal battle that is biased towards the company, and wouldn't put anyone in jail anyways. Of course going by Reddit commie logic it's because the company is evil and wants to avoid punishment.

And holy shit the writing is so bad. Like the part the MC straight up blamed the woman for killing her brother. And then the lesbian starts with her and she's into it. No one acts like a human.

For some reason black woman isn't blamed for the death, despite being the mother of the retarded boy you'd think she'd be one of the people under the most scrutiny for not controlling her retarded son and expecting her cuck boyfriend to do it for her. In a sane game the explosion would have veen called off and she'd get a 10K$ fine for damages.

The revelation that it was all for a cover up for another blast sounds retarded. I'm pretty sure that any inspection team would have an easy time finding out that there was a recent explosion in the area along geological evidence of two blasts happening in different places. Nevermind "do crime as a coverup for another crime" is always stupid, especially if the villains waited for the last day.

I doubt the heroine's super powers would actually have an explanation and connection to the plot. It's amazing how pointless it is.

A century ago, Sherlock Holmes revolutionised literature by featuring a person who could deduce a person's character from shaking his hands. In the modern gay world of writing, you need a superpower to realize why a person is sad in a funeral.

I love how only black person in town, other than her retarded kid, is a drug dealer. Very progressive :story:

I really don't understand how Mac is a bad boyfriend or why he caught the most shit during and after the Gabe confrontation. All we're told is "he's a shitty boyfriend". All we see to back this up is him assaulting Gabe(before immediately getting the shit kicked out of him twice as hard by an undersized girl) and he's kinda rude to his GF. Nevermind the fact that all of this is because said GF won't just give her titties a tug and tell him she's going to a different college or just dump him to begin with since hes so shit apparently, and instead chooses to sneak around behind his back and spend alone time with Gabe.
Y'know, the thing that would make most rational people suspicious of their significant other. Because why the fuck are you being so cagey about what you're doing and why you're spending so much time with some other dude alone?

You can't even really blame Mac for going to confront Gabe either, because the entire situation just reeks of fuckery. And when confronted, Gabe still didn't actually explain the situation. He just made a limp wristed denial then tried to gaslight Mac about just being paranoid, which did nothing but upset Mac even further. Obviously.

He tried talking to his GF, didn't work. He tried talking to Gabe, didn't work. He tried fighting Gabe, didn't work and backfired 2 fold. Then he got dumped and accused of murder, and still treated like shit even after our little autistic heroine confirmed he was telling the truth about the call and having his life threatened thanks to her powers.

Dude was basically being emotionally cheated on, got his shit kicked for it, blamed for a death he objectively had nothing to do with(especially compared to everyone who was actually at the quarry), had Evil Corporation threaten to whack him, contemplating suicide as a result of all this, and is still treated like a fucking Leper.

The whole town larping just screams of someone who wants to attract nerdy people to play their "game" but doesn't understand things nerds do. Children also don't tend to larp.
The writers are so out of touch. There's nothing more boring than having to watch "adult" characters LARP in a video game. Even the Saints Row reboot had one.
I think Ya Boi Zack was right, [current year] writers have never been with actual people. They have learned the social interactions from sitcoms on tv.

You can really tell that the writers are indeed disconnected enough to believe that basic empathy is a superpower when they present Alex, who personally watched her brother get fucking splattered like a week ago, as the bad guy for having an emotional outburst over his death.

Steph (who does not seem to have a personality outside of "I like cooch" and not shutting the fuck up about LARPing) gets all pissy and says that she "doesn't have to take this" even though none of Alex's anger was directed at her. Anyone who was normal would probably be a bit taken aback but still pretty understanding of Alex's anger. And then when Steph storms off, Ryan runs off to comfort her instead of the girl who's obviously in the throes of grief?? What the fuck??

How narcissistic/sociopathic are these writers, to think that this is in any way how actual people interact with each other?

I think the idea is that Steph being a true lesbian is higher on the victim stack and so deserves more empathy. Like the idea is that empathy itself is some finite resource and the heroine is basically Batman with infinite empathy reserves.

Having a death in a tight knit community should be pretty devastating but people in the game treat it like losing a twitter argument.

Hot diggidy what a trainwreck of a narrative!. The first 2 chapters felt kind of dry as in they were having trouble making stuff up to mock it, but the chapters 3-4 delivered a lot more of the funnies "Sherlock Foster Holmes" really got me. That and the yoyo cosplay.

All you gents have touched on how sociopathic and sheltered the writers are to write such a retarded plot (that could have been solved by saying "no stalker child, you will not go to the mountain and become pepperoni today"). The scene with the interrogation of the geologist was surreal, some little hapa comes and sits next to you and starts grilling you and you want her to fuck off, then the town bicycle talks to you and you instantly go "AM I BLUSHING LITTLE HAPA, AM I BLUSSHING?!" to then instantly be told off by said town bicycle after getting you hot and bothered (because of course the Colorado mountain town would be a fulcrum of Lebanese)-

I wanted to focus on the setting. I mean, I may not have been to Colorado ever, but I doubt any sort of town with like 20-30 tops can survive on a hipster cafe, a flower shop, and a vintage record store. Also, the absolute faggotry of the lantern thing, it reeks of "wow asians do it and it's so KAWAIIII UwU, lets dooo it!" even though it seems like it would be a gigantic forest fire hazard.

Also, Mac is bad cause he's white, don't read much more into it. He's woke retards not understanding the world 101 because my god, he has every reason to believe his gf and the half chink are bumping uglies. Got to love how Alex goes "mmm, I found out the evil company, has extorted him and just saw him imagining what being a yoyo must be like, I know, I'll leave him as is because EMPATH!", wouldn't be surprised if that was required for the true mega happy ending.

Also, I don't know dick about the game, but I expect Jed to be the villain (cause he's a white hero and we can't have those) and the LARP was supposed to be foreshadowing.

You've activated my little Asian eighth of me. The lantern thing is cultural appropriation and apparently is a big event in Colorado now. At least the country shares the same first letter. I wouldn't be annoyed by this if I didn't read, two years back, about a couple of ladies who wanted to open a taco truck but got cancelled for "appropriation". Keep in mind that this was after they took the time to go to Mexico and learn to make authentic tacos. Man, I really did start life on the retarded side of the political spectrum.

I think those two ladies were already running a restaurant and were forced to close when someone on twitter got upset.
