Personally, I do not recommend rendering aid unless you are a trained medical professional and are able to restrain the aggressor.

If this is a real video, the streamer opened himself up to being flanked or rushed by the armed assailant. Even if the guy was hit and the streamer rendered aid, unless the aggressor was restrained it allows for a counter attack.

Realistically, the bullet probably missed given that the streamer was shooting one handed and the distance / stance. Even if it did hit, single gunshot wounds are rarely fatal.

Once you're within 21 feet of that knife, you should shoot. Knives can be launched within that distance and kill you. That's why cops shoot once they're that close to a knife wielder.
