Let tommy be a lesson to anyone who is in their late teens or early ish 20s. Get out of your parents house as soon as you can. The longer you wait, the harder it gets. Don't let them gaslight you by letting them project their insecurities onto you. And for any parents in these forums, learn when to cut the umbilical cord and encourage independence none of this "tommy can't do x, y or z" bullshit that parents like to peddle around.

Like, Tommy has mental health issues, yes, but he's not retarded. He's a grown ass man, and his mother is calling the shots on everything in his life. I don't think he's bipolar, I think he has depression issues because his life sucks, he gets angry about it, and lashes out at his mother who forces him to go to a psychiatrist who diagnosis this shit. He doesn't need a psychiatrist, he needs a therapist and to cut the umbilical cord with his mother because it's hurting him and preventing him from becoming an actual fuck up of an adult. Yeah, he'll probably crash and burn as a result of his actions, but again, my sperging continues, he's in his late 20's.... He's not a kid.

The whole Tommy situation is so fucked. On one hand it’s fucked up that his mom is so protective and keeps all of his money, but on the other hand she probably has a bit of a reason to do it. Tommy is clearly not all there mentally, and seeing that he has a history of attacking his mother may show that Tommy is a lot kookier than we think.

I don’t see why people are encouraging him to join the RV trip, he has less personality than someone like Stoic. He would more then likely be a content cock blocker.
