They probably drug tested the child right after birth as she came in smelling like weed and cigarettes. Definitely tested positive for THC, nicotine, and possibly methamphetamine. Even if it wasn't directly used it is highly lipophilic and can easily accumulate in the fetus. She might have also gotten kicked out for trying to access the nursery if the child is under CPS now. Sounds like the hospital has no idea what they are doing if they let her elope with an IV in place as a known drug user.

Doesn't make any sense. In any reasonable hospital if a patient eloped with an IV or even more concerning a PICC or midline in place then the police are instantly called to apprehend the person so that the line can be removed. It is the hospitals property even if it is in your body. They are potentially liable and even if they aren't it's bad PR if someone ODs using an IV your facility placed.

PARKING LOT NURSE: "Do you know why they didn't take out your IV?"

Holy fucking shit. They kicked her out of the hospital with the fucking IV still in her arm. Jewel must have done something that scared the shit out of literally everyone in the building, if they needed her gone that quickly.
I’m convinced she walked out of her room with her iv still in to smoke, and they refuse to let her back in.

This is the most likely explaination. If a patient elopes and returns they must be admitted through the ED again and reassessed. They have no idea what drugs she could have taken and cannot let her return to the facility.

She was babbling something about signing a discharge against medical advice form

Occam's razor: Jewel wanted to go smoke, they said no, she threw a tantrum, they said fine wait for your discharge papers and AMA form and we'll get you unhooked and outta here, she continued throwing a tantrum and walked out instead of waiting. She's obviously high in the video, she wanted to go back in and they said no

As someone who has escaped the hospital many times from my drunken drugged up days i can tell you exactly what happened. She wanted to smoke more than she cares about the baby. They wouldn't let her go outside to smoke. So when the nurses weren't paying attention she pulled out her IVs and left.

This bitch cares more about smoking than a child.

Get fucked, bitch, they're most likely taking your child, and your loser husband's ticket to defrauding welfare away!

Real adoption agency/foster parent hours incoming.

I really REALLY hope the baby is sent to live with humans instead of Jewel and Attila.

For what it's worth, due to human error I was once discharged from a hospital with an IV thing still in my hand. The staff was really busy and I kept trying to get anyone's attention, but they just sort of all fucked off at once. Eventually a nurse came by and I was like, can you get this thing out? and his eyes got HUGE and he took it out for me. lol It was years later that I realized that some folks want to keep it for drugs.

She can’t work out why the hospital aren’t letting her breastfeed when she’s clearly high *sigh*

The baby will be in NICU on withdrawal-watch, poor thing. I hope she manages to avoid withdrawal; there’s nothing more upsetting than seeing and hearing a newborn withdraw - they have a really distinctive cry and are incredibly difficult to soothe.

It’s a shit start to life and things will only get worse if they allow her to go home with Jewel and Atilla.
