We need to continue our new strategy of finally using our military directly to open the Strait and daring Ahmad Vahidi to do something about it. If we're sailing through and flying over, splashing speedboats, and tankers follow, that's it for Iran's strategic options. All they have left then is random chimpouts aimed at the GCC or trying to sink our capital ships, which isn't going to work out well for them

Whoever Trump is talking to is probably screaming and blubbering over the phone to him about how today's sperg out wasn't their fault, and they just need a bit more time to smooth over the radical elements who keep fucking shit up.
I suspect this eventually leads to whoever he's talking to getting killed, as the IRGC grows more desperate as the Strait opens up, and then we get to enjoy a show.

I disagree. Without the ceasefire this Project Freedom wouldn't be happening. The perceived risk of sending ships up near and into the Strait would be too high if it was still all-out pew pewing at each other. It would take weeks to degrade their short range missiles enough to send ships up there in that case. But with the ceasefire we could and did occupy the position without having to batter our way into it. The ceasefire allowed a march to be stolen on them. Now that we're there it's infinitely harder to get us out than it would be to keep us from getting in
