Iran has launched aerial drones at Israel, appearing to mark a widely anticipated reprisal attack.

Israeli TV said the salvo was expected to reach Israel at 02:00 on Sunday (23:00 GMT on Saturday).

Iran's Revolutionary Guards said they had launched missiles at Israel as well drones, Iranian state media say.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they were on high alert and "monitoring all targets". Israel's prime minster convened a meeting of his war cabinet.

Israel, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq have closed their airspaces, and Syria and Jordan have put their air defences on alert.

Iran had vowed to retaliate for an attack on its consulate in Syria on 1 April which killed seven military officers, including a top commander.

It accused Israel of carrying out that attack. Israel neither confirmed nor denied it.

Shortly before news of Iran's drone launches, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country's "defensive systems" were deployed.

"We are ready for any scenario, both defensively and offensively. The State of Israel is strong. The IDF is strong. The public is strong.

"We appreciate the US standing alongside Israel, as well as the support of Britain, France and many other countries."

After news broke of the attack, US National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson said: "President Biden has been clear: our support for Israel's security is ironclad."

"The United States will stand with the people of Israel and support their defence against these threats from Iran."

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak condemned Iran's "reckless" attack, vowing that the UK would "continue to stand up for Israel's security and that of all our regional partners".

Seems like for the most part they ain't falling for it this generation. So long as Whites don't get wrapped up in it they're free to start up the meat grinder. It's time for the imported replacements to Earn Their Keep and Die For Israel for a change.

unless there's a false flag on wypipo to get them on board

or maybe just a regular flag because the border is wide fucking open

Somebody stop me here if I'm missing something, but isn't the whole point of massed drone strikes that the enemy is not supposed to know about it from the minute of launch? Drones are supposed to be hard to detect as they slowly and quietly slip in. If the nation you're firing on has hours to see it coming, and to prep their state of the art air defense system, you're doing it wrong.

The Shahed 136 drones are about 25k a pop. Dirt cheap. They are effective due to the mass quantity of them. Same as the pipe missiles gaza was sending over, except these actually are accurate. The iron dome had issues with the water pipe missiles, I imagine Iran is sending a shit ton of these out.

Israel just HAD to tard out and bomb an embassy, and now they’re getting to the Find out part of Fuck around.

How predictable.

Apparently the Iranians are also launching cruise missiles and have unleashed a cyberattack against Israeli air defenses. A well planned attack.

If Netanyahu can just keep from escalating, we may avoid another war but that’s a big if.

Israel lost a lot of their deterrence after Oct 7th. It’s a changed world, and they can’t act like they own the whole neighborhood anymore.

It's for domestic consumption. Iran isn't about to pull anything that would demand a proper response; they'll throw a few dispensable drones at Israel, conveniently ignore when they do shit and all, then parade around their local media how the response shows they won't be beaten by the Zionist menace - all the while they remain beaten by the Zionist menace. Similar reasoning to the freighter seizure from earlier today.

It's pure theatre at the international level, and until you see mass missile launches (which would be known and hit within minutes) it will remain theatre.

Thing is if these are the same drones from Ukraine, literal piston pushers, yeah it will take hours, probably enough time to set up some iron dome batteries on the border and knock them out with literally zero issues
Nope.

I mean yes on the “hours” part, but nope on everything else.

Iron dome is easy to overwhelm.

Iran supposedly launched 1000 drones, that’s more than enough to saturate it.

Also look at Ukraine. We gave them some of the worlds best air defenses, billions of dollars including top of the line Patriots.

Russians still launch drones every day, The majority of which gets through.

It’s a piston pusher, but it’s not a super easy target to hit, especially in massed attacks.

I mean they could always detonate a nuke mid air like some REALLY old AA systems used to be able to do, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
