Is Chris really qualified to be caring for Barb?

This makes me wonder if Barb qualifies for a government-provided caretaker. Social Security provides elderly people (unable to take care of themselves and with no one to assist them) with a qualified person to help with everything from housekeeping to personal hygiene.

If that's the case, the caretaker may arrive at 14 BC, take a look around, fill a report and leave immediately. Upon filing the report, the agency will call the authorities to come to take Barb to an institution and finally condemn the house.

I've seen this happen in less-filthy places than 14 BC. Of course this was in PowerLevel State and not in Virginia. However, I wonder if Barb being now an elderly person who cannot take care for herself, changes the whole "individual's right to choose" situation

barb is a senior citizen with multiple health problems.
the chandlers have a history of neglecting health issues due to poor quality of life.
should chris be the sole caretaker for such a sickly woman?

Yes, you giant fag.

Because she's a horrible person who should die as soon as possible, so Chris being her caretaker is the best way this good result can happen.

He was pretty rude to her at his last court hearing, despite the fact that he insisted that she pay the court costs of the Snyder incident.

She owes him that shit. She's the reason he's as much of a fucked-up idiot lolcow as he is.

Also, of the felonies that were committed in the running-over-Snyder thing, BARB PERSONALLY RAN HIM OVER HERSELF. She personally committed one of those felonies.

Does this question even need to be asked? He's not even qualified to look after himself

>implying Barb is still alive
I do kind of wonder what will eventually happen when Barb kicks the bucket. If it's at home I'm gonna guess Chris will have no fucking clue what to do and help will only arrive once some kindly souls see Chris update Facebook about it

Ever see Psycho? He's gonna prop her corpse up and talk to it for years without telling anyone

I'm sure Chris does care about her in his own autistic way. That's not to say that he's not selfish about it, but I'm sure there is something there.

As for care giving, n-n-n-n-NO.
Barb obviously has health issues but she's not at hospice level. Chris can care for her, he'd just do it shittily.
Chris is fully capable of getting her food, driving her, and (if need be) help her get dressed and we all know about holey buttocks. But we all know getting him to do this is a bitch and he wouldn't do it well (i.e., getting McDonalds instead of actually cooking). If you can care for yourself, you can care for a parent to some extent, barring something like dementia, serious illness or injury, etc.
After all, it's pretty sad but you don't have to be caring or invested to be a caregiver, you just need to get the job done.

Echoing @Gunslinger, if Barb starts to go downhill with dementia then all bets are off and Chris is even more incompetent than usual.

Barb's only 75, right? I know a lot of people way older than that who run small farms, go to exercise and dance class several times a week, run businesses, walk several miles a day, etc.

Some of the people on the U.S. Supreme Court are older than Barb. Not to mention Betty White.

It's not that she's ancient, it's that she's let her health go to pieces because of her crazy hoarding, sedentary lifestyle.

Like you said, 75's not that old if you're physically fit. If you're living a sedentary lifestyle like she is though, 75 can be pretty damn old.
