"Yes."
This is coming from someone posting on a forum chock full of words which really are considered hateful and derogatory towards gay/trans/people of colour etc.
You do realize "cis" is just a Latin prefix going back to Ancient Rome which means "on the same side as". It's nothing new, it's not offensive and I doubt the Ancient Romans spent any of their time bitching about it.
"It's not a slur, but it's often used as a pejorative."
How?
Transpeople don't shout "cis!" at non-trans people on the street to insult them (that I know of).
People do however unfortunately, shout "n***er/p**f/fagg*t/tr**n" etc etc at gay/trans/black people.
My unpopular opinion- the people offended by "cis" aren't oppressed. The ones complaining about it seem to be white, cis-het woops I mean non-trans-het who have never been discriminated against in their lives.
Are you sure? I haven't heard any transperson say "cis women are fake women" or anything along those lines. I've heard people say "transwomen are women".
- n their jargon "cis" simply means real, and "trans" simply means fake. Cis-women means real women. and a transwomen means fake women.
>fresh-off-the-boat newfag comes into a forum widely known for disagreeing with his retarded viewpoints and proceeds to shit his pants citing barely-related sources and crying about slurs instead of bothering to lurk and/or even attempt to fit inSo why is it people who say "nggr/tr--n/fa--ot" etc are offended by an ancient Latin prefix?
Don't you see the irony?
I agree that you can convey the same information without the word "cis", with the exception of the fact that you are in the cult of Woke or are at least bowing to their insane terms and ideas.Yes it is, but no word should be banned. It is also incredibly stupid and pointless. Saying cis man is just adding one extra word. You can just simple say MAN.
No, but not because of the troon "logic". He is not really trans. A transformation means a change, whilst he remains the same. Destruction or mutilation would be better words for it.I also Hate the fact that we kind of accepted the demented troon logic. a MTF should be called a trans man, because he is a man that is trans.
It will not have the same sting as axe-wounds or genetic deadends.I hope not. I like slurs and calling people CIS is lame and gay.
"Troon" is just a term for trans individual. Why are trans individuals offended by "troon"? Aren't they trans?"No, "cis" is just SJW-speak for "normal"."
If it just means "normal" then why are the gender criticals so offended by it?
Are gender criticals abnormal?
Learn to use the quote and reply functions and stop multiposting you dumb niggerfaggot. I get that the site layout is more intimidating to your HRT fried brain than Twitter or Reddit but if you expect your girlcock-loving tard dribble to be taken seriously at least learn to use some of the most basic features on the site and properly format your fucking posts""Troon" is just a term for trans individual."
Well it's derived from "trans+goon" and it's only used as a derogatory insult by transphobes intentionally being transphobic. It serves only as a hateful slur.
Cis goes back to ancient Rome and cisgender since early 1990s, both having non-offensive legitimate usea.
However, what it is is a pretty effective red flag to indicate that the person you’re talking to is completely knee-deep in the retarded gender shit and should be ignored
You think so? It seems gender criticals are on a daily basis throwing around "groomer/pedo/rapist/predator" at transpeople every day and almost nothing happens to them (ironically, these tend to be the same people who are upset by "cis"). Homophobia and transphobia has definitely skyrocketed since Musk took over.Twitter is already an overmoderated, speech-hostile shithole with or without Musk at the helm,
Do you realise that "nigger" is just a Latin adjective going back to Ancient Rome which means "black", with a double g to disambiguate the English pronunciation. It's nothing new, it's not offensive, and I doubt the Ancient Romans spent any of their time bitching about it.You do realize "cis" is just a Latin prefix going back to Ancient Rome which means "on the same side as". It's nothing new, it's not offensive and I doubt the Ancient Romans spent any of their time bitching about it.
I don't respect people who coerce others into participating in their sexual perversion, so I don't respect troons a fortiori. It's not offensive because I used Latin.I believe it was coined by someone who didn't want to refer to cis people as "normal" out of respect for transpeople.
Wrong - it originates from Something Awful where users refer to themselves as "goons" meaning "member of Something Awful community", same as we refer to ourselves as "farmers". So, original meaning of "trans+goon" is positive.Well it's derived from "trans+goon" and it's only used as a derogatory insult by transphobes intentionally being transphobic. It serves only as a hateful slur.
Of course. With an Elon Musk Twitter, is kiwifarms needed?
Maybe they can start by not invading female-only spaces and not organizing sexually charged shows for children. Most are just people trying to go about their lives and don't need a community of terfs watching their every move calling them "troons/groomers/rapists" etc

It can be considered offensive if you think transpeople become trans just "for sexual perversion".
It's easier to call either/or a tranny, or simply mentally ill. But in Current YearI think the "MTF"/"FTM"terms, in long or short form, ought to be rejected outright, along with "trans man" or "trans woman" as these terms imply "transition" or "to" as in "Male To Female".
Yup, 100% agree here. Just like a dog showing its teeth, an eerie calm with no wind or even birds chirping, or a couple of suspiciously happy guys in button-up shirts approaching you holding a clipboard. It's a sign that you should turn around quick and head the other direction before shit hits the fan.anyways, no. “Cis” and its variants are not a slur. Anyone who argues that is coping and sneeding. However, what it is is a pretty effective red flag to indicate that the person you’re talking to is completely knee-deep in the retarded gender shit and should be ignored. It’s hilarious to see it get banned on Twitter, though. Twitter is already an overmoderated, speech-hostile shithole with or without Musk at the helm, but changes that impact the eunuch degenerates for a change are both greatly welcomed and really, really fucking funny.
Either you really suck at trolling, or you really just suck at life in general. Good job hitting alot of the current trendy buzzwords though, faggot! You forgot "problematic" "hate speech" and whatever the up to date form of "LGBTLGHDTV+AS21!" alphabet mafia is most inclusive this week. Better luck next time!Cisgender can be hard to fit into everyday conversation if you aren't specifically talking about gender or trans topics. However if you are it can be useful to differentiate between someone who is trans and not-trans. I believe it was coined by someone who didn't want to refer to cis people as "normal" out of respect for transpeople. Just 3 little letters can help with clarification, better than saying "normal" and quicker than saying or typing biological.
