Is giving DSP money in troll subs worth it?

I mean at the end of the day it's your money and you can waste it on whatever shit you want. If it makes you happy to see Phil wrinkle his nose as he sees "whereisleanna" on his screen for the umpteenth time then go for it I guess.
I agree with @Karen Riley though on that Phil is way more entertaining when he's dropped into new, random scenarios where he physically can't stop himself from being a complete asshat.

I'd argue with it. When Chris livestreamed last I gave him $3.50 simply because the YouTube chat would have a fucking fit like a bunch of infants and I thought it was hilarious.

Is that trolling Chris or just trolling his faggot chat tho?

You have to admit, there was no real way to troll Phil during the TwitchCon stream; He made sure of that. The only possible avenue of trolling (subs) left he did so on purpose because he knows that it would make him money while allowing him to laugh at his "stupid detractors".

Phil had an almost perfect hugbox this past Sunday, by disabling on-screen notifications. Now if he's willing to choose hugbox over money, then Phil could have an almost perfect hugbox every single day he streams.

Trolls do it because Phil continues to rage and respond, and in turn Phil rages and responds because he knows it will continue to provide him with troll cheers. So if you are happy with knowing that, and the laughs you get from Phil's forced anger is worth it, well, then you answered your own question if its worth it or not. I mean, its your money.

While there wasnt any instant payoff from the troll subs in the terms of Phil having an onstream meltdown, it very clearly provoked a reaction from him. He constantly brought it up on Twitter and in his vlog after the event, so the man will always find a way to bite. But as others have said, you don't really need to give him money to provoke those reactions. The "Okay" spam on his instagram, insinuating he's a hypocrite in any shape or form or mentioning how all his problems are his own fault will set him off.

That said, I do enjoy seeing the 10 bit cheers that get him going off on a huge tangent during his prestreams and quite visibly piss off his chat. The subtle ones that ask him mundane questions leading to an hour long diatribe are excellent. Phil's fans might just "bored quit" him if those are sustained, and almost always turns away new viewers stumbling in on his stream.

No.
Even 1 dollar is too much.
You have to remember, it's not just 1 person doing this, it's several, and this small group can grow into a huge group who will then cause pity donations to occur from his paypigs. Before you know it, he gained 500 dollars.

Just because they got a semi funny reaction out of him does NOT justify giving him money under ANY circumstances. He may be initially somewhat annoyed with the troll names, but he'll immediately ignore it because he got money
You gave him money to "troll" him? You are a ween and automatically a fucking r.etard. Period. This isn't something you can argue, it's a fact.

Even if you, I or jesus christ disagree with it, there's nothing to stop it. And I'm sure for someone like DSP, with a 1700 page thread he has people on all sides of the internet who just want to fuck with him, which means that even though its great to say its a bad thing, there's nothing to stop anyone from doing it.

I'm well aware of why "don't pozload my negholep" exists. Provided these people who spent money don't come on the thread to explain why/how they did it, then it can remain funny to me. When they try to explain it, it's like explaining da joke.

In any case, its 50 bucks for his "once in a lifetime event". He most likely isn't going to be going to Twitchcon or Bronycon or PAX or anywhere else noteworthy in the next 600 lifetimes.

It's really not the end of the world. It's not $500 or $10,000 or $1,000,000 And besides it was pretty funny (so long as no one comes on and tries to explain why they pozloaded my negholep). We all know Phil is going to go buy something stupid in the next while which regardless of this $50 will open the floodgates of criticism yet again about how he spends his money.

This ain't no Lifetime movie special like Shawshank Redemption where Mr. Andy Dufresne slowly takes his bits and cheers from his jail cell $5 at a time and slowly chips away at his debt for 10 years and swims through a river of shit to freedom.

That, up there, that is not Mr. Phil Burnell. Everyone on earth, including Phil Burnell himself, knows that Phil Burnell is royally fucked and screwed sixteen ways to Sunday. Everyone knows he is in an unsustainable financial situation. There is no happy ending to the shit show. Short of a lottery winning, Phil Burnell will never sport the smile you see in the picture above knowing that he chipped $50 off his hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt and bills because "da detractors" annoyed him for his once in a lifetime event.

I know, I can't (or anyone else for that matter) stop it. Thing is, we recently had like 3-4 ween attempts this year on the DSP thread, so it's always good to have a friendly reminder on the thread. Trying to justify giving money to DSP as a good thing is dumb IMO as well.
That being said, I agree on it not being the end of the world. It's just that weens need to stop being so autistic, but yeah, this last part will probably never happen at this rate.
:(

You could give him the holy grail of a roast on stream, but at the end of the day, he only cares about the dollar bill some idiot attaches to it. Should be pretty obvious, yet there are still people who insist on doing so because they think they're burning him in some way.

To weens it seems that troll cheering is on the same level as "look at my skeletons bitch" or Loophole's move during the Destiny Beta. Giving money to Phil for the upteenth time so he reads or ignores some poory written troll comment is just low. You have no rights to laugh at Phil if you gave him the slightest amount of money, this makes him look smarter than you. At the end of the day it's your money, but don't expect any praise for the lowest effort attempt to troll Phil.

Trolling Phil is a little challenging since he has a North Korean style chat and doesn't allow voice chat with random players, I know, but people found their way (like with the engagement ring Leanna was wearing and Phil found out via stream chat).

I was genuinely tempted to sub as "DSPKilledMyBrother" during Choice Chamber or w/e it was called due to the fact it would be on stream for potentially hours but decided against it

I wouldn't give him any money, because his autistic fanbase would just give him more to spite the trolls.

Like, if you give him $1, he might not even acknowledge it, but vidar and jezal or whoever will, and if even 5 fans give him $10 to stick it to the detractors, that $1 just gave him $50. Might not sound like a lot, but don't forget some fans give him way more than $10

If it was later in the stream then he would have purposely avoided your power-up. He did that with someone named IRSauditIncoming.

No because Phil does not have the self-awareness to look within himself and realize what is being told to him in those names. All he cares about is money, so to him, you gave him money he is now smarter than you because he collected your money at the end of the day. He doesn't care about feelings UNLESS is messes with his money somehow.

DeliriousShoutingPhil is gonna get a stroke one day, given his sedentary habits and attentions to twatter.

Make Phil work for his money, at least we still can get a decade of dimwittedslowmophil shuffling back home to stream after work (:optimistic:)

BaITing for lulz is just getting diminishing returns. It is just like buying $10 worth of panda food for a panda just to see it eat, fart then sleep.

or one can just donate to null for a decade more of farmz and a green banna and a world full of lulz

Troll tips are an offshoot of a DSP detractor favourite. Manafacturing drama because DSP hasn't done anything stupid for 3 hours. It's almost as dumb as people claiming they weren't here to take Phils job or income away then go reporting him to Machinima every time he says something remotely stupid. I wonder who is worse sometimes, Phil or his haters.

if you want to be a faggot and """troll him"""" without giving him money you can do a charge back

Remember, it's not a proper troll tip unless you then run off to Twitter and tweet a variation of "Hey @Twitch, DSP didn't read out my message, don't you have t&c ? "
