Is giving DSP money in troll subs worth it?

You could give him the holy grail of a roast on stream, but at the end of the day, he only cares about the dollar bill some idiot attaches to it. Should be pretty obvious, yet there are still people who insist on doing so because they think they're burning him in some way.

It's not like he even overreacts in an amusing way. He's just like "thanks moron" and moves on.

There's a reason this semi-famous sound clip exists and it accurately describes people who give troll subs to Phil quite well actually.

If you donate to Phil just to fuck with his chat, it's not funny or original. If you really feel the need to flush away money on trolling, at least try to be creative about. If you're just trying to get Phil to read your goofy message with the username ICameOnLeanna'sTits, he's not going to read your message. By donating even 1 dollar to his twitch, you're really no better than his fans, and you're trolling attempts are as bad as Fred Fuchs or Bryan Dunn when they donated just to rile up his chat and get banned in 5 minutes.

Generally I don't think it's worth it. Those people that plunk down 5 dollars for a troll sub or bit is stupid.

If you toss him a dime or a quarter for a stupid comment or question, eh. It can be humorous plus he gets all upset over 10 cents.

I never really had a reason to give him anything personally but really if you want to know anything about the man, 10 cents and you'll get an answer most likely. Which is quite interesting.

I wish people would collectively stop giving him anything and only low key observe him. I would love to see his reaction when all of the troll interactions and detractor videos stop and he thinks he is no longer getting any attention. I think if he realizes his detractor base disappears then he knows he is in real deep shit.

That would be gold to see.

it might be interesting to see him feel the squeeze of poverty but it runs the risk of him disappearing and that means no more content. as long as the money isnt coming from me and he continues being dumb in public there isnt a problem.

and to answer the question no. If you feel the need to give money to a streamer atleast do it for a good streamer you actually enjoy

I would say only give troll donations if you are unwaveringly confident in the quality of your bait and your ability to set it. But maybe that's the problem. Weens don't know that they don't know what good bait looks like. DSP has been reeled in by some pretty subtle attempts in the past. See "Wardogleader."

Overall I think many opportunities lie in gently calling hypocrisy to his attention when he says something that wildly contradicts past statements. You might get a tirade of him crudely rationalizing the two opinions into harmony. Or going aggro and claiming he never said what you claim. And some detractor profits an easy upload by simply finding the first statement(s). Example? DSP said unprompted today that he does not support microtransactions in games that aren't free. Meanwhile he spent all of 2016 drooling over the paid lootboxes in Overwatch.

Keep in mind that DSP is a sociopath -- an average IQ sociopath who gains his sense of intellectual superiority in part from lying freely and duping people He doesn't think about how they'd be wise to him if they knew everything. What's important is they don't. "This month? I'm nervous." He is also a narcissist who stupidly thinks thousands hang on his every word. Seems a contradiction in terms but it works. Also is too sloppy to keep his lies bound tightly into a coherent narrative and so has to put in overtime lying to that end.

If you donate $0.10 in Twitch bits he'll see what you said without the onscreen notification for everyone else. I think $0.50 in bits makes it on screen. And $2 in PayPal donations makes it on screen. So don't wear out your wallet with $5 gifts. Or even a $2.50 sub. Which also boosts DSP's ego. As he recently has been trumpeting his sub count.
