Is The USA actually collapsing?

Some Americans are doing great. Others are not. It’s been that way for a long time; only now those not doing great have a voice and a KF or Reddit connection. It’s collapsing for some and reaching stellar heights for others.

Always relevant collapse doompost:

I agree with the post above though. The rot is setting in everywhere, not much the average person can do about the big picture stuff, try to hang in there and worry about the things you have actual control over.
That post always stuck with me since I first read it years ago and kept noticing as the years went by as rent went up over the years, how food is more expensive and standerds have lowered so much that a cheap appartment that isn't near section 8 seems like a fantasy.

What makes you think the county hasn't already collapsed? Lack of economic dysfunction? There's no way to bridge the divide of this country.

This requires something that reminded me of a line from Why We Fight. The China one. For a warlord fragmenting situation you need a country that is not a nation. China was a country but not a nation. The US is both a country and a nation. This makes it hard for true and honest warlordism because to get public support you need to frame yourself as being for the nation, not just for a region. Otherwise in a place with a highly armed civilian population like the US you never have the chance to rise above brigandry and will probably get merked by the national government, or if it is in collapse, local militias pretty quick
How was China not a nation when all the intellectuals were aware that China more or less had similar borders for 2,000 years and Han Chinese ethnicity (90%+ of Chinese) was distinctly defined for nearly that long? I mean I guess other than the Republic of China's civic nationalism (i.e. the Five Races Under One Union). If anything, the United States isn't a nation since no one can even define what an "American" is anymore besides being a resident of a certain part of the globalist economic zone. The coastal urbanites and ghetto thugs cannot possibly be part of the same nation I am.

The main difference from China would be that there's really only two Americas now--the degenerate coasts and urban areas and the actual Americans in the suburbs and rural areas. Even if the average anti-globalist in the North is less likely to be religious and the ones in Idaho and Utah are Mormons compared to the ones in Arkansas who are Baptists, there's enough unity in the cause that they wouldn't split into a bunch of warlord cliques and instead form their own coherent national government to rival the coastal degenerates and liquidate the filth in cities like Austin, St. Louis, etc.

Slow decline, The Changing World Order by Ray Dalio explains what's happening pretty well, probably the best resource on the subject.
