Is there a chance the 2020s could be salvaged as a good decade? - The First 2 Years may have destroyed what people will feel about the decade.

The 2010s were fine until Trump Derangement Syndrome showed up and a buncha faggots started ripping their hair out and screeching about the sky falling

And then it's just been downhill from there and now we live in the apocalypse and those same faggots are still screeching and pulling their hair out, just over the unvaxxed and anyone who doesn't think The Ukraine is heckin' wholesome doggerino. So maybe the latter half of the 20s are gonna be better

No chance. Its going to have even more Murphy's Law but to the extreme from here on out. So welcome to Hell. Get used to it.

Probably not, but maybe we'll have a Malthusian disaster or WW3 which would at least save us from the quiet misery of pedestrian politics.

Trump needs to win 2024, desantis 2028

And overturn roe v Wade
Dream bigger: Trump engages a coup d'etat instituting himself as king for life. All libtards jailed, Brandon is Gitmo'd during the super bowl halftime show, gas goes back to 1 $ a gallon, the true end of history.

So maybe the latter half of the 20s are gonna be better
It's definitely going to get worse before it gets better though. The house-of-cards financial system seems set to collapse with no survivors any moment now, and we've got serious structural issues that need fixing soon (e.g. rampant divisions between people, but also shit like housing affordability and sustainability that we'll need to figure out). I've no doubt that most of us will see it through to the other end, but it's going to be a bumpy fucking ride.

It's going to be an amazing decade on par with the 1980's.
Considering how the 80s get a very rosy lensed view from people now it's entirely possible. There was serious unrest, horrible corruption, and disunity all over. Yet the only thing people mention is the fashion, culture, music, and movies now. I can only imagine looking back on the 2020s that way. Then again I don't really keep track of any of that so it won't be something i'll remember.

May be some Zoomer eventually talking about how much they loved the disney live action remakes though.

Its going to be rough for awhile but I dont we're knee deep in some bullshit as the doomer mindset wants us to believe. Outside of those people even your average joe is starting to see more and more cracks in social and political settings and no doubt in my mind it'll crack as not everyone is willing to show their bellies so quick.

Course my perspective generally is to let the world run its course as its still more opportunities for people willing to strive for them. Be smart, don't let your mind get fucked by a ton of influences and we can salvage what we have.

Wasnt that the 70s with the unrest, disunity, and the corruption that makes the 20s look like nothing in comparsion

The only person who can make the decade good is you. Seize the means of having a good time from the bourgeoisie.

Speaking for myself, but I think most people here are within the same age range (even those that aren't still pretty much apply at this point in time I guess). We got real lucky being born into a period of relative stability and prosperity despite all of the bullshit going on, kind of propping a lot of the stability up artificially. We're watching the support beams start to fail, and every "fix" tacked on fail with it. I have a lot of faith in humanity as a whole, people are pretty adaptable and I'm not so disillusioned as to think the whole world is going to end. However I do think a lot of people, including myself, don't really understand how bad things can really get as we start sliding downward.
Straight up friend, straight up.

You're right, the world won't end, people will make it through even if it'll probably get unpleasant. I think it's important to remember though that our grandfathers fought in wars where at any moment with a single wrong move (or any move at all) you could become just be another anonymous corpse littering the battlefield, no warning, no chance for response, just another statistic, and it was because of them that we've had safety for a while. We haven't really earned the right to an easy time.

I’m still thinking about 2030, so if worrying about the 2020’s is nerve wracking, just wait until what the next few years will be like. If anything, I’m predicting it will be nu-cyberpunk dystopia where online propaganda and drug use will be championed by drug corporations and big businesses as a way of ”keeping the spirit alive”.

Yes. Still making hay while the sun shines... but also feel gypped y2k and the end of the Mayan calendar never amounted to much. While the Current Thing seems thrilling, it's nice to walk outside and work on some hobby gardening, and worry about varmints invading the berry patch or cherry trees now that winter has passed.

Don't forget where those faggots also sabotaged everything around them because Trump was in office, then blamed it on him because "I wouldn't have had to break your shit if you didn't disagree with me, therefore this is your fault."

So what we need to salvage this decade is for Trump to get another term in the White House.

Elon Musk could actually invent catgirls.
