Is there a good reason to hate cops? - You know, besides being a criminal

They don't do their jobs well most of the time. Minor fender bender at a small intersection? 3 squad cars show up to gawk. Someone attempted a B&E through your front door while you were home? They won't send a single officer to take a statement/description.

There's also the issue of "you only see cops when something's gone wrong" that creates a negative association, and them showing up doesn't mean things are going to improve because they're dumbasses, sometimes led by an even bigger dumbass chief of police.

99.9% of police officers are shitty people who get off on having power over others all the way up to bending the law in their favour. This is regardless of them being puppets to the state or niggers screeching about oppression. Most criminals hate cops not because of the fact that they’re genuinely unlikable people, but because they hate getting caught. Even still, I’ve had very few positive interactions with the police during my times in the US, and I’ve actually had them steal from me before (tl/dr, found some expensive farm equipment and turned it in with the promise that it would be returned to me after a month of no claims. Got jerked around for a year trying to get my shit back before giving up. No one ever claimed it, it’s sitting under deputy Clyde’s shed or pawned more than likely). Live and learn. Very few of them care about their community, they’d rather sit at a speed trap waiting to ticket a mum late for soccer practice than to actually deal with criminals.

ACAB types are retarded, but thin blue line fags are equally retarded.

If you are a lobbyist for Private Security then yes there is a reason because those welfare queens are taking ur jobs.

There brutality worldwide to anti-COVID demos, and even in places they knelt to BLM protests, including places in the US and Br*tbongia. They'll defend corrupt colleagues to the end and if retired will use their contacts to harass those they don't like. People I liked little before, and now people I like not one bit. Never talk to one alone if possible. Never interact with them unnecessarily. Useless if a crime is reported, and if they do investigate, the reason is likely to snoop around. Mostly now power tripping little wankers and lickspittles. The old affable officer of old who existed the thugs and the criminals in uniform are all retired or dead, now leaving the first two along side the wankers.

I've had enough run ins with crooked or incompetent cops to understand hatred of police and government in general. The fake as hell ACAB shit from the last several years though? Fuck that noise lmao.

I thought this thread was necroed from pre-2020. How can you possibly not hate cops after all the gay shit they pulled during covid and george floyd riots? I mean for fucks sake we just had the Uvalde PD let other people's kid's get shot up because 20 children's bodies is a small price to pay to protect their own asses.

Cops are predominantly low-iq, violent, self interested, psychotic narcissists. They would curb stomp puppies and claim "DUURRRRR JUST DOING MUH JOB" if told to. They will let niggers rape and murder your family, and then arrest you for saying niggers suck. They don't protect you, and will arrest you for trying to protect yourself. They're actively worse than have no PD, because they will give you bullshit tickets, kill civilians for fun, arrest you for shooting a home invader, etc, etc, etc. Frankly I'd rather live in a small armed community where everyone knows each other than rely on cops, because my neighbor might actually stick his neck out if I'm in danger.

And no, I'm not a criminal and have never even had so much as a fine. I just really fucking hate cops, even the "good ones".

I liked cops until I got dinged for made up bullshit about my car. Power tripping retards, all of them.

They exist to extort money from the working class. Upper class are untouchable, and derelicts aren't worth the taxpayer money. Their unions are all compromised and rotten to the core and response times are absolutely unbelievable. I'd rather call the coroner than a cop.

No, in general, but I still agree with Joe Swanson that cops from North Korea just suck because they only exist to further the country's dictatorship.

yes, they're almost entirely useless, only arrive after shit goes down and do very little for victims of crime,
Holy fuck what a shit take, could literally apply that to other professions like paramedics and firefighters.
>Why did you take so long to arrive?
>>We're sorry to say that your friend has passed away.
>Yeah? Because you took too long.
>>We're sorry, but there's nothing we can do for him, goodbye.

This above would literally be a real convo paramedics would have if they couldn't save someone in time.

Also I know my own gov spends my tax money on useless shit, but cops aren't one of them, if there were no cops, crimes would skyrocket in numbers. That's practically the end goal of Antifa because they're all anarchists.

So is there a reason for a person who is not a criminal to dislike cops?

Yes. I knew the RCMP weren't great, but I didn't realize how bad the situation was until this happened. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Nova_Scotia_attacks

They're completely incompetent, incapable of maintaining the law, and don't protect us. I don't believe "ACAB", but the organization as a whole is rotten and dysfunctional.

Cops in general are kinda shitty people, on average. That alone is enough for me to dislike them. The stereotype of the high school dumbass becoming a cop is pretty true, especially in rural areas where they can fuck your life up hardcore if they feel like it. In cities they are often integrated WITH organized crime.

They aren't there to "protect and serve" you and they make that abundantly clear. At best they will be civil workers being ok at their jobs of investigating some shit AFTER a crime has already gone down.

Just because the left hates cops doesn't mean I have to go around shitting out "bloo lives matter LIBTARD". I like granola and skinny chicks doing yoga too, fuck you.

The RCMP was conceived in and of rot and will continue to be rotten until it is completely dissolved. Their local detachments are virtually useless when it comes to minor crimes and ineffective when it comes to major and organized crime. They're only the preferable option because local police forces become personal armies for municipal constituents, basically adding a city-run gang to the mix.

The RCMP was largely structured based on the Royal Irish Constabulary, and the RCMP's goals were primarily dealing with aboriginals. Granted, the RCMP itself wasn't fully formed until 1920 when the Dominion Police was absorbed by the North West Mounted Police.

I think cops are necessary but there should be different kinds of cops. Traffic and bylaw cops should be totally different from "keep the peace" cops. For all its faults, the NZ policing system is pretty good. They don't carry guns typically but if you get the armed cops called on you, you're fucked. They show up with disproportionate force and they're not out to make friends.

The real issue is how rotten the departments are. There's no way to prosecute real drug smuggling or corruption, the cases always fall apart.

The RCMP made sense when they were essentially rangers and a settlers militia. They still serve a purpose out in the boonies but once an area reaches a certain population density they should be replaced with actual cops.

Read about the Fairy Creek protests. The RCMP involvement there is on a voluntary basis and they get to play with ALL of the toys. Helicopters, drones, high powered laser pointers, dogs, long guns, ATVs...

Maybe they do good in the backwater towns but they're still super fucking horny to slap natives and only natives around.

I grew up in a place where the police never did anything because they were afraid of getting their asses kicked.
Oh, they fined old ladies if their dogs took a shit anywhere but skinheads breaking windows? That's dangerous, cops need to be safe.

Here's an example:
I remember one evening, sitting quietly with a friend behind a store, drinking beers, cops show up and start talking shit, clearly wanting to fine us.
While we were pestered by them, in front of the store, 20 drunk guys were throwing bottles at the store, cops didn't even dare to approach them.
We ended up just walking in front of the store, they didn't follow us out of fear of getting stomped by the drunks.

Try spending your formative years in that kind of environment and not have reasons to hate cops.

A lot of small town cops are hilariously corrupt. I've seen it argued that city police need to have some level of corruption to get shit done just because of the sheer magnitude of the amount of people they need to enforce the law, but I don't think my local Sheriff currently serving a lifetime position because nobody will dare run against him in the local elections has that same excuse.

I think its also easy for us to forget this but local police are still "little people" in the world of politics. Our big boy politicians are already corrupted straight to the core, but often your local government is even worse. They don't face the same kind of public scrutiny that regular politicians do, and thus they have pretty much zero incentive to avoid abusing their power or taking bribes from certain interests in the community. Often they get involved with things like drug smuggling or even just plain old racketeering because, unless the feds see A LOT of activity coming from the area, people will pretty much turn a blind eye to it.

Obviously not every cop is involved in some kind of illegal activity, and you don't even need to be a boyscout cop to drink coffee, write speeding tickets and fill out paperwork all day long, but its safe to assume anyone ambitious in your local community probably has their hands dirty with something and cops are no different from any other local low level politician.

As others said it depends on the laws. Ideally if you're country has reasonable laws and a moral police force then there isn't much reason to hate them.

With that said, police are people, and are capable of corruption. Really I think its more of a hate the bad cops but respect the good cops type of thing. Our society, especially the last few years, really has an all or nothing viewpoint. Its either all cops are bastards or all cops are great. The reality doesn't reflect either of these viewpoints.

Cops enforcing bullshit laws, cops abusing their power, cops becoming corrupt, or just not doing their jobs like those pussies with the recent shooting, all of this is right to criticize. Cops that are understanding and lenient on harmless crimes, cops that are risking their lives to arrest violent criminals, and cops that genuinely help out their local communities, all of this is deserving of praise. I think you really got take in each officer or each event even as its own.

Police are the coercion arm of the U.S. Government. If you don't like the government, you should not like cops, because you already know that it's only a matter of time until everything you want to do is illegal, if not already.

They're gonna be the ones who take your guns, they're gonna be the ones who arrest you for driving an internal combustion car when the bugpods finally get their EV Utopia, they're gonna be the ones who take your kids away when you tell them not to go on HRT and mutilate themselves. They're gonna be the ones who kill you in a no-knock raid when your uppity champagne socialist neighbors SWAT you for loading your rifles into your trunk on range day.

Yes, there is plenty of reason to hate cops if you aren't a criminal. They'll eventually make you a criminal, given a long enough timescale, and sometimes they don't even need that excuse to kill you. 1998 was the last year that you could trust a cop not to be a pig. Two SCOTUS rulings in 1999 started the downward trend (the one where police academies can discriminate against +110 IQ individuals, barring them from entry, and the one where "To Protect and Serve" was legally classified as marketing, and they do not have an actual duty to do so), and 9/11 amplified it to militarize them. Now, it's appropriate to assume ACAB. Black Lives Matter/Antifa was right about this one thing.

Also, Uvalde proved to everyone that these guys are cowards. When they pull you over for a routine traffic stop, those faggots always have a hand on the holster. They care way more about their own lives, than anyone else's, in any situation, and are the most protected class in all of society, even moreso than politicians and soy-based alternative-lifestylers.

Do not talk to cops. You will never be friends with a person who can put you in a cage. They do not respect your humanity or personhood. They will humiliate and harm you if given the opportunity. They're not gonna fuck you if you simp for them. Don't give that behavior any respect unless you're faking it to get out of something. They are, at their absolute best, a passive enemy, and can be an aggressive one, if you look at them funny.

The best cops quit. Years of talking to them professionally, I can assure you that people who would make really good, useful, helpful police- they quit that job.

Useless, lazy people, bullies, and assorted lowlifes, they stay and go up the ranks. The more they get paid the lazier they get.

Reasons to hate cops

* They're cowards who are trained to fear the public and prioritize their own lives

* They arrest, kill and harm innocent people on a regular basis

* They're only here to protect property rights and there is no expectations from the to protect people when someone is in danger

* They have arrest and ticket quotas which means the most oppressive cops get promoted the most

* Any whistle-blowers who report corruption in the police get in trouble, which means any decent people in the police are suppressed

From my experiences, some cops fucking suck at actually enforcing the law. The cops where I used to live were small town assholes who caused more trouble than they stopped.
