J.K. Rowling needs to stop messing with Harry Potter - A general STFU J.K. Rowling MegaThread <3

And yet they'd still hatewatch it like the little cretins they are.

I'm curious on what they'd do, because a shitty sitcom that's mainly at the school is pretty doable; the most expensive part would just be the sets.
iirc aren't the old movie sets still up? I remember them being a tourist thing for a while

Do they have the uk versions? After the first book they're mostly the same but holy shit her Brit levels are though the roof in Philosophers Stone, it's pretty funny to see the difference
Yep. If you search "Harry Potter UK" you'll get the UK versions of the individual books.
If you need an .EPUB reader for ome of the files just Google "Sumatra PDF", it reads a lot of ebook formats.

Harry Potter is getting a TV series. Trannies are seething.

Episode 1: Moaning Myrtle gets assaulted in her bathroom by a fifty year old dude in a garage sale quality wig.

Much discussion by the professors afterwards about the importance for biological females to feel and be safe in their own spaces.

I can't breathe knowing that 'Moaning' is an actual part of her name.

P.S. in Harry Potter und der geheime Pornokeller, Myrtle is considered to be a troon who ended up becoming a hermaphrodite ghost.
This makes the haunting of the female bathroom + JkR being a TERF even more hilarious.

Possibly; movie and tv sets often are hit-or-miss when it comes to being preserved.

Have you guys ever seen "The Worst Witch"? It's like budget Harry Potter, only for teenage girls.

I'd like to imagine that Arthur's co-workers assumed he was retarded because of this.

If the series was written by someone with talent, his co-workers would have been sabotaging all of his work preventing him from learning anything about muggle technology. Many of them end up going along with Voldemort when he takes over the ministry. It would give some depth to the PURE BLOOD WIZARD'S buffoonery as him not being inept, but just being meddled with by his co-workers and superiors. Arthur and Molly are both pure bloods and only Molly gets any kind of moment to prove she's talented.

The Worst Witch does more to flesh out the universe in an hour and a half. Plus, Tim Curry flies around on an enormous blanket for a cloak.

"Otherwise I won't watch" well, who the hell are you and why should anyone care if you watch or not?

I for one look forward to all the woke adults stomping their feet and whining like babies if the show ends up refreshing the series for a new generation. In a way, it'll feel a little bit like those parents of yesteryear throwing fits over rock music and ouija boards and grand theft auto.

I also look forward to the Older Potter fans pitching a fit when the New Fans start coming in and start having opinions about the series the old ones disagree with. Happens every time a piece of media is updated or remade or added to: The older fans start screaming at the younger ones to get off their lawn. You watch: They'll actually get someone young to play Snape (iirc he's, like, supposed to be 32 or so at the start of the series), he'll be the hot bad-boy everyone obsesses over, and it'll reignite all the old fandom drama over different characters.

The more I think about it, the more entertaining it sounds.

I think that guy who played McLovin should be young Snape. He can do an accent, right? I want this

Only thing I've seen him in were those live-action shorts they did for Far Cry 3.

Not the worst looking dude I've ever seen. Cleans up nice.
He's very versatile, I think he can do it. Let's make it happen!

Snape isn't supposed to be cleaned up, he's constantly described as greasy-haired weirdo (presumably because he bathed infrequently) with ugly eyes and bad teeth (bad for British standards, that's saying something) and a giant nose. The movies made him look too pretty, if teenage Snape were real then he'd be posting on /r9k/ or some other incel board complaining about how women won't give him attention. Snape was a straight up incel, but like plenty of incels he ends up a simp.
