Considering a slingshot, Jace puts a blade or nail at the bottom for when the enemy gets too close. It would probably be as impractical as one would think.

He probably saw a pistol with a bayonet or something on it in Call of Duty and thought it would be a cool feature for when enemy milk jugs come too close to him to make a clear shot.

Every time I"ve tried to make toy crossbows I've had problems with the bolts not wanting to come out straight because most things you see and think you could make bolts out of aren't dense enough. I imagine this would be the least of Jace's problems.

So after Jace's latest twitter fiasco I decided to hop over to /k/ and see what has him so upset...

...lo and behold plenty of people have been calling him, but I could only find one recording (link for when thread 404's)

In it he claims his next HOME DEFENSE project is going to be combining fingerless sawn-off gloves with x-acto knives to create "Wolverine claws". The rest of the calls seem to be the usual shit (calling and yelling YOU WILL 9/11, hanging up, rinse and repeat)

I never played Borderlands, but I don't know if Jace did either. Anyway, if you're going to mount a bayonet, using a pistol instead of a rifle (or a shotgun, this was done in both world wars) is somewhat unlikely to land one better results.

The only reason they have that feature is to balance out the game for those who run out of ammo too fast. It's not their fault people are retarded enough to believe it's "realistic."

Gloves and x-acto knives? I guess all Jace needs is a green and red striped sweater with a fedora in case he can't find a yellow spandex suit with blue boots.

When my folks got divorced I I did the angry young man weapons expert thing. I built "bombs" by wrapping AA-batteries in lighter fluid soaked paper towels and suckered my mom into buying me a machete from the tractor supply store.

When she wasn't home, I would fill milk jugs with water and red food coloring, and attack them "like a knight" outside. Until my mom caught me one day and my toys were taken away and I got a lecture on acting properly.

I was 11 years old, just like Jace.
 
So he basically took a knife that could have been used as a crude self-defense weapon and turned it into a useless, unwieldy sperg-scythe.
