Is that the trade-off for these cucks?

All I see is a soft-left guy who is, easily led. He has low self-esteem and Alison latched on like a seething perverted barnacle. I know guys like me sperg out about 'nu-males' but there is a purpose to it. I don't want guys like Jake getting used by smirking reptiles like Alison. He wanted affirmation and like all people following the BPD script she probably initially gave it to him.

From a lolcow watcher perspective, however: he's buttered his bread, now he has to lay in it.

She's got him ranged and dialed. I want to say she's figuratively leading him around by a ring in his nose...but the REALITY of where that ring is, is much worse.

He probably thinks he hates kiwi and other people who called it before he noticed - but I think people feel for the guy. He's somebody with a weaker self-image and it painted a target on him for a predatory personality to consume him.
OTOH, as tragic as it is, at some point there's the decision to be made about being party to one's own abuse and that's a sad trap.

Meh a beta male takes what he can get and put up with tones of shit because he can't, or thinks he can't, get better.

I would ask why Jakey-boy, who isn't that far outside the norm, thinks he can't score a higher quality female. What makes him so desperate to hold onto what he has that he will sell his self worth, his very soul, to keep it?

Maybe he likes being a fuck toy, stranger things have happened.

I get the femdom angle here. There are even guys who go for 'financial domination'. This might be something akin to it.
He feels degraded and enslaved by Alison. He can't take control of his own life.
The political aspect is the major part of it. He's been told that a way to displace his toxic masculinity is by sublimating it through this poly relationship.

Anthony Burch used language like 'shitty behaviour' for his behaviour prior to being an SJW. It's being cleansed. By being in a poly relationship with Alison Jake feels he is being redeemed.

It was originally an insult. But your pals Jake Rapp and Peter Coffin apparently like to take the dereliction of masculinity as something to aspire to.

I think it takes a lot more nuance and thought to acknowledge your own privileges in a conversation about progressivism while still maintaining a masculine identity, so these nu-males find it easier to blatantly feminize themselves to placate their white male gulit. Personally, I consider it pandering, inauthentic, and annoyingly simplistic.

Language like "shitty," "gross," and "garbage" are also red flags that someone's going full feminism. Because you can't be intersectional without taking into account every word that may offend somebody's race, religion, orientation, gender, or able-bodyness, you're not left with a lot of insults. Hell, I've even seen garbage and pissbaby and the like argued against as ableist slurs against incontinent people who live in hoarder trash paradises.

'Pissbaby'? I thought pissbaby was the only insult SJWs had left as it was vaguely non-bigoted in some way. The idea of hoarding as an actual identity as opposed to abject mental illness is tragic. There was a mother-daughter duo in Bondi that cost the local council thousands in clean-up costs, so it's not something to actually accept or glorify. But, yeah, obviously, the discourse they use doesn't actually give them much leeway.

Masculinity is hard so these guys wuss out, efface themselves in the face of femininity. The surprising thing is that Jake does this while still 'married'. Typically these guys whimper in the direction of m'lady from afar. The idea of masculinity that accepts the issues from the past while still accepting male strength has a place, is much more nuanced and a much harder pathto take than self-abnegation.
