James Cameron's Avatar to get four sequels - The message will still be the same

The second week drop is going to be massive, which puts to the ground the "muh legs" arguments all the jounos were prattling. So now we have another excuse, the weather.

They will never admit this film is terrible.

"What I'm having trouble with is that it's supposed to be the highest grossing movie of all time, but nobody remembers a thing about it. I just can't figure that out. How could all those people see the movie and then forget it all? It's the sort of thing really bothers me."

That's because even after 2009, James Cameron was recognized because of Aliens, The Abyss, the first two Terminator movies and especially Titanic, and those are still memorable movies (even though Titanic is a shit movie, it's still recognizable). With Avatar, what's there to talk about? It's not really a memorable movie, unless if you are a /tv/ poster who unironically enjoys it.

Because they do remember something about the film: the visuals. That's it. At the time, it was the visuals. Now, who gives a shit when we have films like Blade Runner 2049 and whatnot out?

Don't forget Tron Legacy. That movie came out exactly a year after, and it's still way better than James Cameron's smurf shit. Plus, Tron Legacy had Daft Punk, and Avatar doesn't.

If-a da blooo monkey not a leave, why do they not killlarooo alll of dem? They impact productivity and are ugly, killaroo dem all”
Please make this a random txt.

To play devil's advocate about the autographs I don't think they were actually fans just people wanting something to sell on eBay.

Double post but man is Blade Runner 2049 so underrated. A sequel that actually delivers. Beautifully shot and imo a great story that closes without a need for a third.

Because honestly, Avatar is best suited as a theatrical experience more than anything. It just didn’t look as good on DVD or Blue Ray when it came out on those.

The films are nothing without the dazzling special effects

Okay, so I saw this today in 3D HFR because a good friend invited me AND offered to pay, so I felt obligated. It wasn't quite as awful as expected, but it was really damn close.

-The anti white message is so painfully obvious. Halfway through I noticed there wasn't a single bad human that wasn't white, and that almost all were male (except the boxing gurl boss general, of course), and started actually trying to catch any nonwhite humans at all. In the whole run time, there's one fat arab guy from the first for one single line, and a half asian submarine driver chick for maybe three seconds. Given pedowood is obsessed with cramming in brown people regardless of whether they fit narratively, the absence is glaring. Entire story is "evil whitey bad, stone age savage good", contrary to that faggot whining about the "white savior" archetype, which is not present in this film.

-The plot is shit. Multiple retcons to add in Quiddich's kid, revive Quiddich (since he's the only character from the first anyone remember or gave a fuck about), and have Sigourney Weaver in it again. The humans don't give a fuck about Unobtanium now, they want to colonize the planet, but spend all the movie run time hunting whales and Jake Sully for some reason? Even though Jake runs like a bitch, and they should be able to clone the whale brian juice they want so badly given their magitech. Most characters are literal whos to the max and it feels like a long, pretty Captain Planet episode, and Cameron clearly hated that people rooted for the humans in the first since they're retarded evil now.

-Only saving grace of this is the obvious and frequent pro father, pro family theme, which is really refreshing and very much appreciated despite my overall distaste for the film. This is one of the best parts of the films and is something I'd love to see more of in American entertainment.

-Visuals are pretty but get old fast and stop mattering about halfway through. The only awesome and memorable visuals are the action sequences, and half of those are lame still. The part with the exile whale is the best, and the whale is probably the most interesting character in the whole movie, which is sad as fuck.

-Theater was MAYBE 1/4 full, which was shocking given that it was a warm, sunny, clear day and all the ice melted off the roads a few days ago.

I was going to rant, but that's the short version; all in all, if you're on the fence, save your money and time.

I guess when normie friend bought tickets, they said it was just about sold out for 3d IMAX. They may make there money back this weekend. I'll see the crowd tomorrow

Wonder if we'll have reports of ghost theatres where people coming say the ticket purchase was nearly sold out but the theatre was half empty.

The question if it's the same situation in the regular theatre since you might as well go to INAX for three hour CGI show

I’ve legit been seeing the weirdest cope regarding this weekend specifically.

In the US, this movie has been tracking almost exactly like Rogue One, if a bit worse, leading to the majority of its predictions resigned to it not hitting $2B.

This weekend, the film did… exactly like Rogue One, if a bit worse.

Yet because it performed exactly to expectations despite the storm, people are suddenly acting as if there is immediately no question the film hits $2B.

Like… this is the exact prediction that people said would be under that. Probably a bunch of astroturfing to try to save it.

Saw Avatar 2: Child Abuse Boogloo, it has to be the worse movie I've seen in 10 or 20 years. Yes, it's that bad! It isn't the good kind of bad, pacing is awful and actors are unlikeable. Isn't like the first movie at all! The kids in the movie are unlikeable and go missing every other second until one of them dies. This movie is pretty much made for pedo grooming furries. It was a full house for 3D IMAX showing. So, I guess people like getting waterboarded. I would have left 20 mins in if I was watching it by myself.
