Celebrity James Charles / James Charles Dickinson - Male Ambassador

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
So, I was just thinking about what Tati said in the video about how James was "doe eyed and innocent". Does anyone else think there is a chance that he has been manipulating her from the beginning? That he tactically contacted her, played on her emotions and used her to gain more fame? A characteristic of a good narc is their ability to read people, and he chose his target very well.

Edit because spelling is hard

Why would this Gage dude keep talking to him? If someone hits on you who you arent interested in. Why keep contact?
Every woman will tell you how men are idiots. If you havent been preyed on you will do a lot of dumb shit just because you dont know. The guy seemed to have thought he could "clear the air" and make everything right, that they were on equal footing.

I don't think he was manipulating her, but I'm sure he was clout-chasing. I think he was probably earnest but also fame-hungry and did whatever Tati & James said. It wasn't until he got some fame/recognition that he started egregiously fucking up by doing his own thing.

He's always been a piece of work, and I am so happy to see the downfall of his career.

Honestly, I feel like a big part of the problem was that James was allowed to get away with shit because of his age and his sexuality. How much of his stupid antics were handwaved with "Oh he's only a kid" or "Well you just don't like him because you're a homophobe"? And while it probably is true that a lot of his drama can be chalked up to his being a young guy who quickly rose to fame, age doesn't give you a license to act like a predator.
Yeah, I'm sick of the "he's just a kid!" shit as well.
My dad was on his way to fight in the Korean war at his age, most of my friends and I were working, in the military, or married and raising families at that age.

Gage was bicurious. Sounds like he was experimenting with his sexuality. He told James he was curious but wanted to give it a try. james thanked him for being honest and they started flirting over DM. Coachella was the first time they met in person and by the end of the festival, Gage admitted to not feeing anything sexual for James. James got mad and sent his Stans after Gage. Gage said he was honest with James from the get-go but because it didn't go his way, James decided to ruin Gages's reputation calling him a gold digger. Gage said the only reason he made the videos was because his reputation at home and school was getting dragged and people were starting to harass his family.

I mean he is a kid in my eyes, he's a kid who doesn't deserve all this power and influence, because he's a kid.

I'm honestly shocked he's the same age as me. It makes me mad on the internet.

What's even the point of the YT Beauty community? Who has fucking time to watch girly men and basic bitches judge makeup and do their eyebrows for hours?

It's a rhetorical question. Most of my friends watch this garbage, though I really don't get why. It's like, if you do your everyday makeup, then why do you need a tutorial for it? And chances are you have your preferred brands already anyways.

And if you need makeup for a special occasion, the best and safest bet is to book an appointment with a professional at the very same cosmetics shops you buy your makeup from - M.A.C, Sephora etc. instead of getting scammed into buying insanely expensive pigments and whatnot that will serve you once and be left to rot. After all, make-up does have an expiration date.
That and all the girls I see falling for the YT makeup gurus' money traps and counting shekels to spend on the newest, most hyped palette don't even apply it properly themselves anyways.

Halo is 100% a scam but i do not think Tati is aware of it, she is known for falling for stupid mlm tier shit like rubbing a gold stick against your face to make your skin healthier.

On launch she said her
snake oil
was extra pricy because it contained the rare chemical "ceramide-rx" that was really expensive to purchase from the importer. If you look into it you notice that ceramide-rx is a trademark belonging to inside out beauty labs, llc registered under her husband, James Westbrook, an upstanding fellow who have previously been selling those "healing magnet bracelets"

If you source the graphs used to prove the efficiency of ceramide-rx You find a study of the chemical under its original name. Said study is thenonly study of the efficiency and is paid for by the company producing it.

It's almost as if the endgame of all the Beauty youtubers was to shill their own merch... Never seen that before.

He seems unlikely to cut his dick off. He'll probably take the "genderless alien" route.

He should team up with Kuckian. With any luck, they'd cancel each other out and explode in a flurry of squealing camp bitchslaps to the background reeee of crying twelve-year-old girls.

I can dream.

People watch it for:
%10 rich people that succeeded in the makeup industry and have influence
%10 makeup tips and reviews
%180 drama of said rich people.

It's like the Kim Kardashian Reality TV, except it's Youtubers starting shit with each other because they never learned basic social skills in elementary school.

The people I know who watch beauty on YouTube just watch product reviews or the best ways to do certain techniques.

I guess in a way it's better to learn for yourself instead of paying a professional.

It really depends on how much you need and how often.
For an everyday use, most people don't wear that much make-up, and the only "problematic" things you might need a tutorial for are: eyeliner, wings (though in my personal opinion, wings are trashy and inappropriate), where to put your blush / shiner on your cheeks / jaw etc. And even then.

I'm not suggesting paying a professional for your every drunken bar crawl or something like that. Just saying that if you have a truly special occasion that would require a lot of expertly done make-up, it's actually cheaper to consult a make-up artist, rather than buying usually quite expensive products that are different from your everyday ones, and will mostly end up being wasted.

It also doesn't help that most girls try to copy their YT beauty gurus without thinking about what would actually be best for their face shape, eye colour, eyebrows etc.
Just because something looks good on a brown-eyed twink doesn't mean it'll fit well on a blue-eyed chubby tween.

A friend of mine who was really into YT beauty shit back in 2012 tried to copy Michelle Phan, who was the big name back then. And I remember her coming to high school with some horrible pink eyeshadow that looked completely out of place and wrong on her tanned Italian skin.

Here's what she was trying to emulate.

"Spring Medley" for your daily wear.

So yeah, I really don't see the point in watching YT beauty gurus daily / consistently.
Checking out a technique? Sure, why not. I remember looking up how to curl my eyelashes before giving up the idea due to laziness. But watching daily some shekel-hungry shills promoting overpriced garbage and "daily" looks that are completely overdone and inappropriate? Yeah, no.

It's the excessiveness and the drama that makes it entertaining. I'm not subbed to Jeffree because I want to learn how to contour, I'm subbed cause, fuck, that guy knows how to make a show.
There are plenty of youtubers who do make up in weird interesting ways, incorporating optical illusions and stuff. You know aside from the white paint make look up James loves so much.

Wow, I haven't seen anyone mention Phan in a minute. What a flashback.

But I agree with you. Mastering the skills to do a few basic every day looks with minimal products allows you to go for higher quality products too. If I bought every makeup pallette that a youtuber shat out, I guess I'd be shopping in the drugstore for the rest of my products, too.

Personally, I don't get why Tati's exposé is so shocking for the people who follow these makeup people. There's nothing James has done that Jeffree hasn't, but Tati's not making 50 minute long videos about him. Isn't Jeffree's boytoy gay4pay? How is that less egregious than James trying and failing to flirt with someone at Coachella? I simply don't understand the double standards here.
