The irony here is that James Charles is not someone who made himself. Many people drop out of school/college and hard work from zero to hero and that's laudable, but that ain't Charles: he got lucky he met someone who helped him to the top and cases like this are very rare. Even Pewdiepie has said many times he's been very lucky and tells his fans to not drop school to become a youtuber. Cristine has also said she's been lucky her channel exploded after one of her videos became viral. There is a lot to criticize about those two, but at least they keep it real. Charles' a trashy wannabe who couldn't handle a couple of years of fame and money before he backstabbed his friends and mentors and now he's about to lose everything he didn't work hard for.

#NotAll gays, but it's a product of our recent culture of glamorization of homosexuality. It's not just that many homosexuals are given a free pass to do and say whatever they want, but homosexuality itself is portrayed as a "better" lifestyle than being straight. No need to say that is not only NOT better, but ain't a life style either.
Just look at all the people who are now coming out to share their stories about Charles RIGHT NOW. They knew he was a sexual predator and neither did or say anything.

I was never a fan of this guy, but I feel kind of bad because up until this point I thought the only reason people hated him was because they were SJW types who hate cis gay men in general. They were the only kind of people I saw disavowing him, anyways.

Now I think it's safe to say it's not just SJW types who dislike him, since a lot of people are not only citing him being racist or transphobic but also his predatory behavior towards straight guys. I think the really hardcore SJWs would say that saying a gay man is preying on straight men is homophobic for perpetuating "you're gay ew don't hit on me", or straight up believe his sob stories about being led on because it satisfies their confirmation bias against straight guys.

Has anybody watched PinkStylist? I subbed to him three years ago and haven't watched a video in ages, but I liked the content back then; unless he has changed recently he pretty much exclusively does Halloween/costume/theatrical/special effects makeup and tutorials for it. He also sometimes gets on Omegle in his makeup and costumes to scare people. This is the closest to "beauty Tube" as I have gotten.
If there's anything "problematic" about him I haven't heard.
Too long, didn't watch, but Andy Warski is thirsty for some James Charles peen.

It's really not hard to figure out what's the deal with James Charles: he's young, he's gay, and he's the (npi) poster face for the whole "break the gender barriers!" gang. Of course people were going to fall for him and not realise (or care) he was a predatory asshole. She also said she made excuses for him until she was personally affected.

He's also become now a PR problem for them. It's not like, say, Sargon or Dankula. They aren't direct associates of Youtube. This kid is, like you say, part of the Rewind. That's a bit a problem because this means they "approve" him (look how they kicked Pewdiepie after his scandals). They can't be 100% honest about this because it will also have people saying "well, you're shitting on a gay man, but you won't kick Sargon out!".
