It always seemed like a stretch that James is THAT retarded and I would never believe the 4chan post if it wasn't for James' book confirming that he is in fact more retarded than I could have possibly imagined.

They only know the "chase the algorithm" business model and they are pretty bad at that. The Kingdom Hearts video is their idea of timely content that fits the channel's brand. Wowser!

The episodes that he's done on game that I played in my childhood are my favorite but I never played Plumbers Don't Where Ties or Little Red Hood and those were good episodes so yes, James and the slobs need to hunt down games.

It is so strange to think how mediocre Cinemassacre has become because it was once a great example of solid content. This will sound dumb but hear me out. I feel one of James' biggest issues is that he has a very limited scope. I would love to have his brand problems right now because he still as enough of a brand that forums are still talking about him despite his "shitty" content. What James needed is some sort of manager or agent, not the slobs. Someone that knows how to market James' properties outside of YouTube. Yes, I am saying James should sellout if he still can. I'd rather the Nerd become a commercialized product than see him sadly play dress-up in his garage.

James could find sponsors that would not ask him to clean the nerd up or make it family friendly, he has to go this route because the slobs lazily rely on easy sponsor deals that everyone gets and playing the YouTube ad sense game. Could the nerd be bigger than some Internet videos, I believe so. The brand still makes a lot of money, the streaming checks they get from the AVGN Movie are higher than I would have guessed. He might need slobs to manage the channel but James really needed someone that could direct his brand to new ventures.

Rerez is doing their "AVGN" series and they always manage to find out some absurdly obscure stuff. Just some days ago they reviewed a 90s game they couldn't even put the name on the video title because it goes against the Youtube guidelines. The game is Gender Wars (based) if anyone is curious.

I have a theory that James has enough awareness/talent to review modern games. An angry video game boomer who doesn't understand why games have to be movies or densely pack themselves with gay people & niggers isn't original but James himself has more charisma than most. He also has the temperance to not just devolve into a /pol/ stereotype judging by how he handled that female Ghostbusters remake. But until he decides to do that Yahtzee will have to remain my surrogate dad.

If we're talking specifics Chris Bores doesn't have a charismatic bone in his entire body. TGWTG is probably on par with AVGN in many respects. What I'm trying to say is that James isn't totally useless when he is candid & earnest with his commentary. Obviously pretending to be angry when he isn't does not measure up to when he was truly frustrated (see Dick Tracy) or just annoyed while describing something annoying. There are a lot of annoying things in modern video games. He can't go back in time or grow his hair back. Why not have the Nerd character review modern things now? It worked for Beavis & Butthead.

I don't know what James cares about. I assume he probably doesn't care about the Nerd character anymore after doing it so long but he needs to make money. I pine for the days of Board James when he seemed to be creatively inspired. But if his current goal is coming up with engaging material then there's more of that in the present than the past.
