I just saw the latest video. It isn't as bad as some people made it out to be. He isn't going full DSP/AmazingAtheist where he's just bashing his fans for being impossible to please while demanding they continue to fund him because they can't afford to live without their support. But I definitely see we're in the beginning phases of when a content creator really starts to turn on his fans.
You can tell his heart isn't in it anymore. He was expecting more things to come out of it but they haven't. He might want to put more effort into the show, but fatherhood seems to be really kicking his ass so he kind of has to offload the work onto Screenwave. Despite being a little bit older and more well off, he doesn't seem to be handling the transition from having unlimited freedom and little responsibilities to now actually having to raise another human being. After years of shielding himself from the drama surrounding his cohorts, it is now starting to seep in. Plus the fans are starting to become more and more critical, something he isn't used to due to years upon years of positive reception from them.
The next few years are going to be really interesting to watch from James. I think he can still avoid going full cow and burning down everything he built. He has managed to avoid it for this long, he can still do so. But the crossroads are starting to appear. He is going to need to really sit down and start figuring things out before he begins lashing out the way every other failed YouTuber has done.
