If the Rolling Rock story is true it feels like such a waste when it's only used for a terrible special effects scene of Jimmy in water tinted brown and regular metal kegs with no labels on them.

Yeah, I was surprised that they actually used Rolling Rock for that. I figured it was just water with the color shifted in post, but no, of course James & co. wasted a few hundred dollars on beer that'd be contaminated with James' face because nobody knows how to change the color tint.

This podcast is amazing in how it shows off just how ass-backwards they've been doing everything over the years, and I'm hooked.

So yesterday I had a great time driving around to different ice cream parlors to mock all the fat people, and between parlors, I listened to Mike & Ryan's Talk About Games and it was actually pretty good. I'd say it's the best show on the channel, since it's plain as day to see that Mike really is passionate about video games and can talk a mile a minute about just about anything he's enjoyed. He has chemistry with Ryan, and they bounce off of each other pretty well. They talked about two games I've never played and know barely anything about, and still enjoyed it quite a bit. I'll never play Mechwarrior 5 because it's just one of those games that's absolutely not for me, and I have no interest in playing any kind of mech game unless I get to use something crazy like the giant Steel Battalion controller:

Something I've wanted for a very very very long time is a good gaming podcast where the hosts don't break out into little spergfits over current events, and you'd think that would be a trivial thing to find, but its been outright impossible over the past several years now. Like, it's retarded how many gaming podcasts just turn into audio versions of Kotaku, with the hosts hyping up the capeshit du jour, talking about what toys they bought that week, and then getting uncomfortably preachy about left-wing politics. This stuck strictly to the games and that's all I could really ask for.

There's nothing I could really even make fun of, no weird gaffs or signs of burnout or anything, Mike and Ryan actually seem to be having a great time and there's even one point near the end of the episode where they make fun of pedantic faggots on Twitter near the end and it's pretty funny:

So if you're like me and you really enjoy hearing guys discussing video games that they actually really enjoy and seem excited to discuss, give it a shot, and I'm giving this one a 9/10 excellent work boyz ya dun gud
A podcast that actually stays on topic and doesn’t devolve into woke faggotry? I didn’t know such a thing could exist. Might have to give this a listen

That surprised me too. I thought they just colored the water but changing the tint in post is a good idea too. It's really bad product placement because, aside from the 2 Rolling Rock cans in the shot, you can't actually see that they really used the real beer. You get an obvious insert shot of empty cans and the kegs don't have labels on them.

Just an absolute waste of time and money.

I listened to the newest podcast, it's an alright episode, they talk about getting hurt at Action Park for a bit and Kieran tells a story about how he was very drunk and stumbled upon a couple of dudes in a dark alley by a liquor store in some random town getting it on and he acted like a dick, all going "WHATS GOING ON OVER HERE?!?!?!" in a coy way.

James really did toast a NES game, he had it plugged in because he "likes the lights" (of the Nintoaster, not the actual toaster), and absentmindedly lightly toasted his copy of Darkman. He says it was fine with no marks, but also said he smelled something burning and immediately ejected it, so, I'd figure some part of it has to be burnt. But... why did he plug the real toaster in?

Justin later reads a fan Q&A question about burnout, and James mentions feeling the most burned out he ever felt back in 2007-2008. Like, back when the show was brand new. But then he attributed it to being sick for 4 months straight, so, uh, I don't really know what he thinks he's saying. James continues to act like an oblivious dope, Justin continues to act like a fat goofball, and Kieran continues to act like an actual cool guy.

Speaking of which, James only perked up when they were talking about beer, and Rex Viper. James seems to love doing Rex Viper and he's gonna have their first live show at TooManyGames in October (if that even happens), so, good for him.

Unless Inspector Gadget is a guest with Mike, these podcasts will continue to be, in my opinion, a rambling mess of mediocrity.
You're never going to believe this:

"Micro SD cards are too small. "
Ok boomer.
20 seconds in he mentions infants swallowing the cards. We need to protect his kids. If not then we could lose AVGN.

also, wtf is the new style they are going for? looks like a shitty furry commentary channel now. James not have enough time to record the bullshit man?

Fucking micro SD cards? Seriously?

I've never had the problem of losing a micro SD card. Sure I lost a few once or twice, a few years ago. But you know what I did? I organized my shit. It's really not hard to not lose them if you have a dedicated place for them, and handle them with care. In other words, stuff that requires time I guess.

It's actually worse, atleast the furry commentary channels have multiple stills of various poses that give some semblance of a character.
What does the bullshit man get?
Hands down, and hands up.

Oh, but wait, he blinks, wow! And lip syncs (shoddily) too! SO MUCH EFFORT.
Is it so much to ask for a channel with 3 million subscribers and a production team to be able to make more than two poses?

Decided to check this out and eh, he does sorta have a point, but as @Gru mentioned, this can easily be solved by just organizing the things, or if not that, just suck it up and keep all of those adapters you've accumulated.

As a YKWBS episode... well, similar to every other long-running Cinemassacre show. its become clear the show has seen better days. We've gone from complaining about genuine annoyances like the poor functionality of printers to incredibly mild nuisances like fruit stickers that aren't really even problems to begin with.

If I'm recalling correctly, something happened to the original Bullshit Man mask? Regardless, this current one looks like a Cabbage Patch Doll face stitched onto mud, it looks too happily goofy to portray annoyed frustration.

To be fair though, the mask could be tolerated if the content was better. That goofy face, though, just projects declining quality and half-ass passion, until then.

Leave it to James to complain about a memory card standard that's been around for over a decade now. Try keeping your MicroSD cards in their SD adapters that you called useless, ya dunce.

"Here's a solution: Let's go back to analog"

he's not joking at all

If this had come out in like July or June, then okay, I can see him joking. But ever since that BTS video? Any technological thing which he complains about will be because he's a boomer. Similar to those boomers who freak out when they don't know how to use the self-serve checkout lines at the grocery store

Remember this is also the same guy who gets confused with memory cards from the ps2 and GameCube era. Any technology past like 1996 is something that is foreign to him.

My grandma is more tech savvy, and she is in her 90s. If she can learn then so can our film curator James.
