Phil blatantly refused to listen to the chat, used up his last ink ribbon when there was one more closer save point to the final boss ahead

"Why does the chat keep saying i should save later, fuck this I'm saving it now"

Chat crying

After a long walk, he made it to the boss, only promptly got 1-hit KO'ed by a superman punch

now he is walking the long way back

This guy not only bites the hands that feed him (Youtoob) but also bits the hands that help him (chat)
I guess NOW YOU SEE WHAT THE PIGS CAN DO

How does he keep getting hit by the falling rocks on the final boss level? I don't think I saw anyone else get hit by those.

Final Boss is kicking his ass. Wait until the final phase. I wonder if it's possible to kill yourself on that part? lol

Oh and those Blue herbs he was shitting on because "The only enemy that poisons you is in the sewer" would literally cut that damage he is getting in half if he combines it with red and green herbs. It gives a defensive boost.

"Guys Im not gonna lie, I need to piss really badly"

chat refused to let him go

Went to the boss, got one hit Ko'ed again

"Wow, how the fuck is that fair? I had full health and that was a INSTADEATH, fuck you capcom, I'm PISSED OFF, there's abosolutely NOTHING I CAN DO there, I got fucked over by the rock which just RANDOMLY SPAWNED out of nowhere and took half of the platform's space, i couldnt get out of the way, FUCK yoU CAPCOM

At least he attended his need by PISSING OFF ON HIS COUCH?

Guys. He has to piss. It's important that we know he is playing while he has to piss and that he has had to piss for 10 minutes. Really has to piss.
I guess we can't pause the game and quickly piss because that would interfere with the narrative that a piss takes 5 minutes as a prestream stall tactic?

"I'll hit him with the flamer... or the flamethrower." He keeps calling it the flamer and then half catching himself. You can hear the Twitch TOS alarm bell ring in his head every time. What a tame piggy our wild hog has become

How does he keep getting hit by the falling rocks on the final boss level? I don't think I saw anyone else get hit by those.
The one time I saw him claim it hit him, it had already fallen and he was backing into it not realizing it was there. The boss hit him and he claimed the rock fell on him.

EDIT: "Mojo! I'm using your advice! I'm bringing extra flash grenades, so we'll see what happens!"
If he wins, he won't thank the guy.
If he loses, he'll blame him and call him an idiot. Guaranteed.

I swear he expects to be able to one shot a boss. . .or that if a boss has a pattern it's "unfair." Like really. . ."Fuck You CAPCOM?"

So, this was being discussed in the restream chat, but that "hardcore" game mode label should come with a massive asterisk. This shit game turns it's difficulty down as you die, so against the final boss fights DSP was playing on fucking easy mode because of how much he died. You could tell by how little damage he was taking from the bosses vs the near 1-hit-kills that he was getting hit by when he was first fighting them.

So yeah, RE2 2019 is designed for a skill level that even a video game journalist could play to.

For us noobs, how long is the game supposed to take for normal people? 6-10 hours?

Also, 27 saves seems excessive.

To be fair, they also didn't account for 100 people to be telling you where to find all of the first aid sprays and ink ribbons you missed might be tucked away. In plain view.
But the important thing here is that it didn't take him 18 hours. He really did the math on that, and pointed out it was two six hour streams and a 2 hour short stream and...

Well... but.... wait. Phil recently said he 'streams for 10 hours a day' and this is all he has played... so it actually had to be 18 if he just beat it now...
That's a bit tricky there, Phil. For some reason the math doesn't add up on both of those things...

EDIT: How long are we going to stall before he reveals if he is playing Claire on hardcore as well.

He is also explaining the A run and the B run AGAIN. This is another one of those things that he just jerks off over explaining. He did it twice during the prestream. Though he is suspiciously more informed about it now. Funny, that.

All of that also doesn't account for an eighteen-hour playthrough with a fully-staffed live help desk refreshing his memory, giving him spoilers and hints as well as cash and moral support.

EDIT: ninja'd by the fine @Surly Muppet.

I'm waiting for the game to get cracked (fucking Denuovo) but I was hesitant to check out the Hardcore mode when starting but fuck man, if Phil of all fucking people can beat that mode...You know the rest.

Quick question: if you leave an item in a box, can you get that item from any box or is it like REmake where you have to go back to the same box to get the item?

God damn 18 hours huh? I know its hardcore but I was watching another streamer who has the same rank, but played on Normal(Standard) and only has 8ish hours played.
My only guess is because Phil died a shit ton and that eats away at the hours? Or he left it on over night?
I really do not know. What a mystery.

It's Phil so it probably did take him 18 hours to play it. I played 7 and if you died it didn't eat up hours or anything like that. Neither did any other RE game I can think of.

Honestly Phil was slow walking in a lot of areas and being overly cautious. He played in a very slow way.

Okay that makes a bit of sense actually. Does the map screen count towards hours because I remember watching his slog of a playthrough where he would just stare at the map for eternity it felt like.

edit: Okay I remember reading about hitting continue when you died would still count the hours until you died. But it's hardcore so I assume you cannot continue and would have to reload a save? Did he ever do that or would he just hit continue?
