You know, there's a reason that Jan's "Jace" persona had staying power.
Jace, in all his autistic idiocy, was likable. People wanted to cheer on when he did well and succeeded in spite of his failings, and people laughed their fucking balls off at shit like the Tupacalypse and Ebola Mousedonalds. So many people followed Jace because of the hilarity of his exploits, as well as the spectacle. Jace spawned so many memes that a huge number of them have remained in the Kiwi Farms vernacular long after he left, and his funnier moments are still enjoyed by people across the tubernets. Hell, I actually saw someone in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate use WHOA #TYCENADO BACK OFF as their "mounted a monster" quote last year. Caught me by surprise and had me laughing like an idiot.

, the internet celebrated, not simply because he had pulled off the long trolling game, but because he had successfully brought about a biblical amount of hilarity in the process, and a good time was had by all. There was a certain love of this silliness that permeated it and made it seem that much funnier. It's why people were able to take Jace seriously. There are so many parts of Deagle Nation suggesting a subtle genius, from the Tyce Jhenk Streams to shit like Soap the Juggalo Wolf and TACTICAL SCYTHES.
I don't... Get that feeling from the more modern Jan. It feels like the new content just doesn't quite have the same soul.
Maybe it's the fact that whoever was his best and brightest for writers have left, leaving him holding the bag.
Maybe it's the massive falling out that was had after Deagle Nation wrapped up, with the massive number of halals that transpired. Some necessary, some anything but, but which pretty much left everything remotely assosciated with Deagle Nation's departure tainted with scandal rather than the noble sendoff everyone was hoping for.
Maybe Jan just never really liked the Jace persona that much to begin with, but he attracted his initial fanbase because of it, and there was a guaranteed audience of people who were hoping he'd do well wherever he went based upon that alone, whether he continued the Jace shit or not.
Maybe he just wants to be remembered for something more than Jace (which of course begs all manner of questions, best left for another thread).
I just don't know.
In the end, it's irrelevant. Jan seems hell-bent on alienating whatever fanbase he once had, and it's clear that in so doing, that spark of insight that led to the best parts of Deagle Nation is gone. I can only hope he rediscovers whatever the fuck it was that made his original works great because as things stand there's not even that much to enjoy this go-round.
I don't think anyone wanted to stick around to a period when Jan's streams became fucking boring.
