The cwcki assumes it is based on Ricky Ricardo, and with Chris's history of loving the show and naming things after characters, I wouldn't be surprised he jumped at the chance to be named after his favorite swarthy wife-beating Cuban.

times like these the stupidest answer is almost certainly the correct one.

i call it chandlers razor, or occam's tugboat, whichever you prefer

He probably sperged when the teacher gave him the Spanish equivalent to Christopher.

It should be no mystery how he graduated high school, even with his retarded papers.
The school thought he was a nuisance, and did not want to deal with him any longer than they needed to. To that end, they were willing to let him pass all his requirements and graduate with all the normal children, just to "get him outta there!"

I'm amazed he actually cited sources. Granted there are far too few, and he did it completely wrong (both citation and bibliography), but for him that's almost impressive. Almost.

Other than that, this paper is pure Chris, and by that I mean terrible. Rambling thoughts, no thesis, didn't even involve anything before the 1930s (unless that 1912 was somehow supposed to be 1932), and random Spanish for no reason. I loled at "guns, insults and...yuck!" and "So the US and Japan really wanted to get it on."

Good that the teacher criticized it too. I wonder what the final grade would've been. At any rate, I got a good chuckle out of this. It makes me feel better about my own papers.

Probably a D-/D+ at best. But I really hope it was an F. Also, if it was for his English class then I have to ask:
1. Why did the teacher assign a History lesson?
2. Why did Chris use random Spanish in his "report"?

Now that you mention it, I don't know why an English lesson would be writing about History. Unless Chris was allowed to select the topic, and as usual, messed it up. Papers in English were usually about books we were reading in class.

As for the Spanish, I'm willing to chalk that up to Chris being Chris. Possibly he wanted to impress the teacher with his bilingualism, but either way it's stupid.

Well if that's the case, the teacher should have just assigned everyone their own topic. With no tradesies either. That or just have them write a book report. But then knowing Chris, he'd probably just write about Goosebumps or some shit like that.

I mean really, when the hell is he going to leave the country anyway? So doesn't make the Spanish kinda pointless?

So what's the context of this "Going to War with Japan" stuff he referenced? Like, it's obvious he really didn't care or else he wouldn't have put Woodrow Wilson as being US president at the time, but at the same time why does this book reference the Japanese invasion of Manchuria and the end of WWI on the same page?
His sources gave a long account of the conflicts in the area leading up to the Second Sino-Japanese War, which sort of merged into WWII (someone will probably correct me on this). Chris must have skimmed the first few pages and assumed it was all about WWII even though a sentence he quoted began like "At near the end of World War I..."

Rambling thoughts, no thesis, didn't even involve anything before the 1930s (unless that 1912 was somehow supposed to be 1932)
Oh no, the Woodrow Wilson bit was before then (remember, Wilson died in 1924), but Chris fucked it up so badly that he used that quote to describe the end of the second World War instead of the first. A lot of the stuff he quoted is actually relevant to (events leading up to) Japan's involvement in WWII, but he presented it in a woefully disjointed and out-of-order fashion. As someone else earlier in the thread mentioned, he used sources that were waaaay above his reading comprehension level and which went into graduate-level depth in terms of historical context.

I really don't understand why some people get so angry about an autistic ret4rd being autistically retarded. Did some of you think high school Chris would magically turn into a student of PhD calibre when given a history assignment? How is this rage-inducing rather than simply what is expected?

Everyone bragging about their qualifications in the subject needs to understand how it's coming across like the cringeworthy "I'm better than Chris because..." threads. Hating high school Chris for not understanding as much as you do post-degree level is awkward to say the least.

Edit for clarification:
I'm talking about the small number of people who are like "Fuck you Chris, fuck you" because they assume his misunderstandings are a result of his being insensitive rather than autistic, and the people who are like "I have an MA so I know more than Chris, nee-ner." Kind of weird to be measuring yourself against the yardstick of Chris if you're that much more accomplished than he is.

Even Autistics should know about the atomic bomb. I learned about the atomic bombing of Japan in elementary school. Chris clearly didn't give a shit because SAWNIC DA HEDG'HOG wasn't a fighter pilot or something.

I find it really wierd that americans expect everybody to be "super sensitive" about everything. I got Aspergers, and even I don't measure myself against Chris.

(He is just so much cooler than I, how can I measure myself,a low aspergers, against his high functioning autistic glory?) :medallion:

Crap, that's right. I don't know how I overlooked that part. The whole thing was so shitty it was difficult to focus on just one thing.

I'm curious as to how he found these sources though. I didn't think Chris was one to use a library much. I almost expected all of his sources to be like that one forum post (i.e. all stuff he found online), because that would be easiest for him.

So, we should just let people like him go on saying things like "war with insults and... yuck!" because autism? I thought the point of mainstreaming him would've been for him to be less autistic like that. Obviously, it didn't work.

When I was in elementary school, sometimes they'd bring the whole class down to the school library and we'd spend a class period just looking around for books for whatever paper we were supposed to be writing, and everyone had to find a book.

... What, you say this paper was done by a high school student?

It's shocking how many people feel they have to cite their own accomplishments in order to prove that they are better than Chris.
That's like saying, "Psh, I can swim better than those down syndrome kids in the Special Olympics."

It's possible that Chris just went to a fairly crappy school...in some schools, how you do on papers is relative to others because good papers are practically non-existent, and papers that are relatively mediocre still get As. No way did Fatty make honor roll, but he probably made a "C" on this paper, far higher than one would expect.

He is not a politician,a teacher, or anything like that. What does it matter what private opinion he holds? He is kind of entitled to his own opinions even if he is Chris,

Exactly.

Especially regarding his opinions on DA HOMOS, people need to keep a sense of perspective. Chris doesn't represent anyone, he has no kind of power. He's not making legislation. He's not even the CEO of Mozilla. Even if Chris hates gay men and wants to create an antidote to cure homosexuality everywhere, it doesn't matter because he's Chris. A totally irrelevant, bankrupt autist shut-in who has no influence over anything and never will.

I think Chris probably had several papers due in different classes, and just wrote basically the same paper for every one, thinking he was being clever. And they let him get away with it because Borb.
