I'd say he's on his way to being as bad as Keffals, he isn't guiding anyone down the path of the Genetic Dead End, not yet anyways. I think if he gets that far, he'll be so thoroughly ruined that very few will stick around to be misguided in such a way. One can only hope as much.

He could've done anything else it's hilarious that he just keeps choosing to cut his nose to spite his face and shoot his feet to spite him legs all because of his ego and need to preserve his presented image. He could've shifted it and made a pivot to a different kind of character he was playing and just simply framed it as irl character development and it easily could've been done during the Dire Maul fiasco, it's just hilarious that he didn't do that because it could've been an even greater ego pump to cover his self-evident insecurities.

People are probably half-expecting Asmongold to have a dead cat in his basement, meanwhile such a thing in Jason's house being exposed would probably obliterate his reputation further because of the difference in how they both constantly sell themselves to the world at large. If Jason simply toned down the stroking of his own ego slowly over time, this drama would not have even happened, but narcissists are incapable of that otherwise it wouldn't be as much of a problematic condition as it is. It's what makes this all even funnier to me, and I only found this thread a few hours prior to the dire maul stuff because of research into Jason's SKG stupidity for a video I wanted to make and it was just surreal to listen to it happen as I was reading the thread's maaaaany highlights and the OP.

I am fully aware it's not going to fully stop Maldy, it's only supposed to slightly delay him so that it could be sent out. We all know he's reading this thread. The link is still live, so he obviously hasn't made an account yet.

Ugh, I pasted the URL for a broken duplicate upload for chunk 16 in the list. Thankfully, the attachment on the post for that segment is still good and I've verified all other links are good. My edit timer is over so I can't fix it.

If a mod can edit the segment 16 link to the one here and make the archive fully complete and future-proof, I'd really appreciate it.

A shame I fucked up that chunk on the original post, since segment 16 specifically has a lot of meat to it including

• lots and lots of griping
• claims he no longer bans for mana gem and it totally doesn't get to him
• claims his phone's getting blasted and family's getting contacted
• "It's not me taking down videos, it's YouTube" (ignoring where the reports come from)
• the explanation about VODs being turned off
• the start the return of actual Heartbound code! (360p doesn't lend itself well to this, though it's readable. Apologies to code analyzers in the thread.)

As a PSA for anyone this may apply to: I'm on Linux using Thunar as a file manager. I tried to move the directory for this video, Thunar crashed, and it just ate the whole fucking directory I was trying to move. Thankfully it's all up here now, and I've re-downloaded the whole thing to skim later. Be very careful when moving things you can't get back, copy and delete after if you can spare the space!

NMS did a 180 for the better by still giving free updates despite the poor reception it got in 2016 and it's now basically a completely different game and everyone has nothing but good things to say about it

any game developer would at least fucking commend the dedication of the NMS devs, but not this faggot. if anything devs should collectively shit on maldy for still struggling to make an Undertale copy in fucking GameMaker (bold to say he's struggling, that would mean that Jason is actually working on it)

Can someone ballpark an idea of how big the streams are gonna be?

I mentioned this in my frantic archiving of today's stream, but to respond and state more directly: A 12 hour stream at 360p which good enough for most purposes including seeing code (though it's a bit tough), is 3GB for me straight from yt-dlp off of YouTube. It's probably possible to optimize it more at the same resolution as well with better post-processing.

Second, that got me thinking, is Jason still involved with Rivals of Aether 2? I remember OP mentioning that he was working with Aether Studios in some capacity. It wouldn't surprise me if them making it an always-online live service was his idea.

Yeah I keep telling myself to play it with Reb in charge now.
AFAIK he's "director of strategy" for their publisher Offbrand Games, so that's entirely possible. I've heard decent things about Rivals 2 aside from a brutal learning curve but I don't care how good a game is if Mald had any involvement, even tangentially, because of how he handled SKG. It being a live service doesn't help my interest either.
Total tangent but I also just don't think Rivals 2 captures the same "snappiness" that Smash has with its game feel and animations - but like, no platform fighter I've seen does yet.
