I'm not a lawyer nor am I well versed in copyright law, but it's pretty obvious that he's giving a false equivalence and the same laws won't apply to the actual game at hand compared to what he's trying to frame it as. If some lawyerfag would actually summarize where Jason is coming from through the sperg out or correct me on my assumption that would be appreciated.

Yeah... so why did you issue the DMCA without first previewing the game listed on steam, talking with the developer of the game, and better yet, talking with an actual lawyer before issuing a DMCA? He doesn't realize that the issue people have with this situation is how he handled it, just like with his previous controversies. Being a hypocrite and proclaiming you're correct on this stance has been a common theme with his responses to criticism.

Copyright has nothing to do with the infringing art being commercial or not. There is as much value as having the product for free (under cutting the original) as it is if it's not free.

My guess is if he's asked about it he'll claim that because he warned the police about potential swattings, the "constant swattings" are just attempts which don't result in visits and he just gets called and informed about it. Even assuming the police were informed, it's hard to believe that there are no clips of even a calm police visit or call given the sheer amount of time he broadcasts. Maybe he'll claim Shaye handles the visits and he doesn't mention when it happens so as not to draw attention, despite him talking about it after the fact here and defeating the purpose? Too much needs to line up for this to be true, I don't buy it.

I'd imagine at best he's bigging up what is actually a couple defused swatting attempts at the peak of roach-mania into being "swatted constantly". Jason making a mountain out of a molehill and trying to use it to epically own someone questioning him in chat? Many such cases.
