I know Google VS Oracle only applies to the US, but I am sure you can compel them under a simple "then don't include the external code" clause. Google VS Oracle allows for interfaces such as C++ header files to be included as fair use when open sourcing projects that use proprietary libraries.
That's why when Winamp got """open sourced""" and the new owner accidently included all of their Dolby code, that was considered a legal problem with people commenting "can't wait for the lawsuit".
EDIT: To add, Lego Island's decomp is a prime example of a community developing and implementing open source alternative libraries to replace proprietary ones.

Half of the videos during Wow classic were making fun of his voice and using the Comic Con clip that is in the current OP. Most of the SKG drama react videos also used that clip. @LGTV's clip is a much better one that proves beyond any doubt that he has a voice changer active, it BTFOs the "second puberty" excuse.
In a month or two when Maldy fucks up again and the next wave of drama begins, I want Charlie, Mutahar, Asmongold and other react bros to start spamming this clip instead of the old one, it's crazy to me that we have hard evidence he uses a voice changer but people don't know about it, especially when the voice changer has been the topic of hundreds of messages in this thread and so many YouTube videos and somehow I never see this clip being referenced.
I have also archived the entire 12-hour stream on shit quality in case he pulls that video down. It would be nice to have a better version or perhaps a high-quality archive of just that particular section, if someone else is willing to do it.
I couldn't upload it to the forum. Maybe because it's 500MB in total, as small as I could make it If anyone wants to try using the link to try uploading themselves or to have a local copy, please do! It should stay up for 2 weeks.

Threatening legal action is legal and cannot be claimed to be an illegal threat towards someone, because you're essentially just threatening someone with due process.
Not only is it legal, it's also not even explicitly a threat. Billy didn't say "I am going to sue PirateSoftware" he said "PirateSoftware will be sued." Which is technically just a predictive statement on potential future events.

The evidence is flimsy at best. Audio sounds weird when the mic is clipping, and it wouldn't explain why he sounded similar in other clips from outside his stream. He's probably just bass boosting the EQ and using the proximity effect.
When you make videos or do bits on stream about a popular creator with a good reputation it's a really big risk that can blow up in your face if you piss off their audience. So slop drama youtubers love safety in numbers. The more people taking shots, the safer it is to join them and get your piece.
Once you break that event horizon and it's basically just a free-for-all on someone, it always reminds me of the L4D horde sound effect.

Not an argument. We're not talking about requests, we're talking about change to LAW. If the LAW becomes that all video games must have a planned End of Life that requires removal or disabling of always online systems etc etc then guess what? All those middleware companies want to continue selling their product to studios to use in their games then those middlewares are going to have to modify their own licensing agreements and make it possible.
If not they will go out of business from publishers being unable to contract with them. It's very simple.
