I'm always baffled by guys like this, for years I've wondered "why do people fuckin watch Hambly?" and I can never come up with an answer, he lacks any Charisma, he has butthole eyes, he delivers all his commentary in a bored deadpan way, he doesn't even smile or make jokes.

yet he raked in a decent cut for quite a while, doing FUCK all but regurgitate stories or news poorly.

I think it comes down to some people simply enjoying that slop for whatever reason as well as the fact that The Quartering managed to outlive a lot of his competitors who YouTube ended up banning over the years for being too edgy. It’s why Hamboy is constantly passive aggressive when talking about Tim Pool since he was his only real competition. Nowadays edgier people than Hambly are allowed on YouTube again and AI has helped new channels cut into his niche of news article slop, which I think is part of why he’s been crashing out this year.

the conclusion drawn by the kino goys makes sense
during the crackdown on "fringe" (entertaining) online figures for "covid misinformation" and things of this nature, he managed to toe the line and became the one of the only options on mainstream platforms, much like tim pool.
now that the internet has somewhat opened back up, he cant make money anymore as his monopoly is broken

Way too common now. Twitter was severely degraded by monetization, browsing there has gotten better & worse under Musk. The relaxation of the censorship is a plus, especially the extreme bias against anything that doesn’t agree with troontopia. The monetization is great in theory, but not practice. It’s a bunch of assholes trying to make more than each other. Reading twitter is pretty much just an advertising site for podcasts now. It’s gross & you don’t see any interaction that isn’t based on monetization of people as a product, anymore.

Just look at Hambeast crying about some other griftfag getting “more interaction on his content,” than him. Fucking content. Ridiculous. It’s really something when they get to the point where it’s obvious how much they hate the audience or themselves (sometimes both) for selling any humility or humanity to dance for that dollar. He was, and I mean this in the most unflattering way, the Sean Hannity of Youtube. If you have ever watched Hannity, that motherfucker knows how to manufacture boomerslop for his hour slot on Fox. Fills it with buzzwords, canned phrases, meaningless interviews, and just stretches that runtime out. And makes millions. He is safe fucking content because he never breaks the mold. I think it's more that he was the only one on the right who wasn't edgy enough to get deplatformed during the various banwaves of 2018-2023 so he won the conservative grift by default. Now that restrictions are being loosened he actually has to compete again, honestly he still rakes it in but the infinite money glitch is finished.
