Like the leap to go straight from 'Lily didn't bother vetting a post she reblogged' to 'Lily is a crypto-conservative radfem (?!?)' is insane. She reblogged a post she agreed with (or that agreed with her) since she's trying to make a point about the word 'queer', but because it came from the WRONG SORT she isn't allowed to keep it posted without accusations that she agrees with all of the politics of the original poster.

The saddest part is that Lily -- for all her posturing and big talk -- immediately caves when lefties tell her she reblogged from a conservative. She doesn't even defend herself by saying "I happen to agree with that particular post even if the person is (inevitable mess of slurs)", it's just immediate delete and disavow. Wild that she doesn't reconsider her truly toxic takes when people call her out on them, but reblogging a conservative? Unconscionable.

The first one is at least an actionable concept (if extremely niche and reliant on trans fetishization to work the way Lily obviously wants it to) and the second isn't even a real idea. I'm reminded of All or Nothing, the Tumblr webcomic proposal that began and ended with "What if a pansexual and asexual were ROOMIES?"

Like yeah, that, uh... that's a thing that can happen, I don't see how that makes them any different from any two other people being roomies. 'Oh but their personalities are also oppo' yeah that has nothing to do with who they do or do not want to bang, you should've led with that.

Lily's definitely the sort of person who thinks sexuality is a replacement for personality. 'Two ace people adopt a child' is no different from the premise 'two people adopt a child' except you're ticking off a box that exotifies asexuality. Her actual proposed punchline is 'and they sleep in separate rooms and don't have sex' like that's a wild concept. Like can you imagine two adults in the same house NOT fucking? That's hilarious!

The idea of two aroace people deciding to marry each other purely for the tax benefits could be interesting if the plot is actually about keeping up the facade of their marriage being legitimate in order to be allowed to adopt a child. Likewise, a story about a teenage boy helping out a trans girl could have some meat in it if it's about the two of them overcoming the expected transphobia around them in order to find love with each other.

The true problem is that Liliana can't do any real conflict justice, not even when she's copying a movie script already made beat for beat, so instead she'll write the most boring and tedious fluff only made interesting by the incest or whatever other disturbing kink she feels like adding.

Edit: Someone made another video about Stockholm with receipts that our dear Liliana wrote it. I'm 6 minutes in and it's already so much better resourced, edited and more entertaining than anything I have seen before on this topic. This could actually reach people.

Yep. She's very conflict-averse in her stories (and all conflicts resolve themselves by having somebody else fix the problem or apologize for not enabling a character's vile behavior) and TSR only exists as it does because she stapled her own character on top of an already-extant backbone. The two basic prompts could be spun out into something, but as they stand they're not 'book pitches'. There's nothing that drives the narrative, there's no conflict.

I mentioned some time ago that Lily doesn't approach the idea of 'writing by the seat her pants' properly because this is where she starts. These are prompts that are good for a scene in a larger story, or maybe a short story. But if you're going to write a long-form story based on a conceptual prompt you need a conflict built into it. 'Two ace people adopt a child' is nothing; 'two ace people want to adopt a child and have to pretend they're a 'normal family' in order to convince CPS they're candidates for adoption' now provides you with a basis for wacky shenanigans.

At some point she claimed that it's easy to play any instrument or learn how to, because quote: ''all you have to do is play one note at a time.'' But piano is harder, because ''you have a whole other hand to worry about.'' She plays part of some melody from WOW on I don't know what and prides herself that she needed to figure out which note to play by ear like a savage.

The only instrument I have ever seen her play on stream were the Pokemon gym badges.

That's like saying art is just drawing a bunch of lines, or coding is just typing. Its reductive to the point of insanity.

Also, if Pianos are hard because you need to play more than one note at a time for chords, why wouldn't you include other instruments that can play chords? Guitars you play plenty of chords. Banjos too, hell even bass guitars use chords on occasion. You can even do multiphonics on brass instruments, though to be fair, I think they sound awful as a general rule. Maybe even more, but those are just a few examples that I can think of, of instruments that prove her thesis wrong.

Also, the human voice can be multiphonic. If you look up overtone singing from some (primarily) Asian cultures like Tuva or Mongolia.

You can hear overtone singing really clearly in the intro to the song, its that low humming and whistling kinda noise over top of it right as the vid starts.
