If your cast was bland before you added gay to it, then it probably had more to do with them not being well written, really.
LGBT adds more options by which to make a character interesting and distinct, but it's not an instant "More interesting" button.
Variety makes things interesting, but there's a lot more to variety than just skin colour and sexual identity.
Or don't. "It's okay to do X to Arbitrary Group A but not to Arbitrary Group B" is pretty much the basis of all bigotry.
Plus, this attitude pointlessly limits the options of what a writer can do with LGBT characters. Sure, there is lots of stories you can write where dealing with death in any kind of fashion does not play a role, but there is no reason to arbitrarily exclude LGBT characters from those stories either just because some whacko on the internet thinks its "problematic". If you want a gay character to go through a character arc of grieving for the death of a loved one and learning to love again, then there is no reason not to do so.
That one is actually true for a change. Or might be at least true.
There has been a some of bitching going around in the RWBY fandom over the death of Adam Taurus, and the way it was used to "promote a lesbian ship", because he was killed by two characters who comprise a popular ship. Some of it actually has legitimate criticisms of the way Adam's character was handled and how he could've been done better, but most of it is just typical fandom people being salty.

The "Bury Your Gays" trope isn't about gay characters who die for legitimate reasons any character could die, like, say, motivation for another [gay] character to do something important in the story. What the trope really is about is killing off gay characters who come off as expendable or unimportant, or giving them meaningless and forgettable deaths, or, killing off your only gay character in a sea of straight characters.
You're under the delusion, Jerry, that "Bury Your Gays" applies to every instance of a gay character dying.

we'll still have to wait and see if they choose to bother with G5. which if I recal is confirmed to be happening.
That being said it's going to be really interesting to see Lily try to buff out her content in the interim. Given all the shows she's watched are bad, her refusal to do reccomended shows ever, along with her pre-emptively judging show's as worth it or not, it feels like sooner or later she's going to slip into obscurity.

Language inevitably evolves. Interaction between two cultures, or two people of differing cultures, tends to lead to the cross pollination of ideas and language. if one were to live in California, where the primary language is English, that same person would also have a basic knowledge of Spanish, and Mexican culture, due to the second most used language being Spanish. IE, the restaurant chain El Pollo Loco. In English, it says 'The Crazy Chicken'. But everyone, regardless of speaking mainly English or Spanish, says El Pollo Loco. Re-tards like Jerry and the rest of the people still on Tumblr are the most ignorant, hateful bigots on the planet. I've talked to actual Nazis who were more educated on cultural differences and human behavior.
I don't know about interesting, but it will be entertaining to watch Jerry melt down as his stream of content, and therefor revenue shrinks to a trickle. My guess? He'll be more active and much more hostile on his social media, Tumblr, Twitter, etc. While either his video schedule slows down, or he increases the amount of GoWs so he can attack people he doesn't like. Lizzy, Patchwork Heart, or maybe another on Josh, or FNGR. Just a thought.
