And its proven that if kids are slowly submerged into the shallow end ofdeath by their pet dying or it being shown on screen in a soft/easy to digest way, it will be easier on them later on in life without them having to learn about it in a more 'in your face'way when a relative or a close freind dies when their a teenager or something. You cant coddle kids and they NEED to learn about death. This ep and Tanks for the memories showcased death in different ways. RD went through the stages of grief and accepted the fact tank will be gone for a while, and in this episode we literally have ponies talk about their lost freind(s). One teaches kids that 'you will feel sad, you will try to bargen, you will be angry at the world, but its something you'll have to come terms with later on' the other is 'Yes they may be gone,but remember them for all the good theyve done. How happy they were and even times when they dfound love' etc. Not sorry, this ep is amazing at showing kids on what to do after the fact a loved one is gone.
And this episode IS ABOUT FREINDSHIP but in a different way. Friends arent always (going to be) alive. some will die. and this episode shows how to deal with that. or how people SHOULD talk about their friends after their death. you know. a show about teaching lessons to kids.
And yes this aint proven fact but I've chatted with a kid before who had to go through a of a freind and she watched this episode later on. Of course she was only about 6 so couldnt speak well about her emotions but 'Cake pony was happy to speak about her loss freind, so i will be happy and speak nice things about mine!' same goes for some mother i found on reddit who thanked this episode for teaching death to a kid in a simpler/ easy to digest way.
For a person who's supposedly worked with kids, lily doesnt know how kids fucking work.
Hell even Mr. Rodgers had an episode about death, Seasemy Street had an episode about death, Arthur had an episode about death. All of these were shows targeted towards young kids. All were good episodes, never spoke down to the children like they were aliens from the planet Zorb, and repsected them by not going into gritty-dark territory.
