Some common line I see in all these posts: Jerry thinks of himself to be on the same level as creators like Rebecca Sugar or Nintendo/Gamefreak. He thinks that he is one of the higher ups with a lot of talent in writing and creating but he isn't. Criticizing Rebecca Sugar or GF is indeed falling on deaf ears and it's more something to inform/warn the viewers.
But in the case of criticizing Jerry, he's on the level of a beginning author that is still learning the ropes (no matter how hard he tries to deny that he isn't "starting out"). Creators like that can very well profit from criticisms because their viewers are basically on their level and they are an extra set of eyes where you can get immediate response from.
It's pretty stupid to ignore criticisms like that because those tell you how to improve.

The problem isn't that Creators don't listen to criticism, Lily. The problem is that you specifically are a narcissitic manchild who stubbornly refuses to listen to criticism.
And you pretend that everyone else is just as bad as you, because it keeps up the illusion that you are not objectively worse than them.

Hell, even the high-up Creators of the Sonic the Hedgehog movie were capable of listening to criticism from their consumer base, and fixed the butt-ugly Sonic model the had in the first trailer.

You know, it's really funny that this topic got dropped today of all days.
The new Sonic Trailer dropped this morning and fans are over the moon with it because of how the production team pulled off the redesign, which only came about as a direct result of criticism.
For those of you not in the know and wondering why I'm bringing this up as a point, I'll elaborate.

A few months ago, Paramount Pictures released a trailer for the upcoming Sonic movie, and it was generally regarded as awful because Sonic's design was shit.
People on both twitter and Youtube criticized it to hell and back because it was so laughably bad.
You know what happened?
Jeff Fowler, the DIRECTOR OF THE FILM, Acknowledged that they had fucked up on the design and vowed to fix it, even going so far as to delay the release date so as to not overwork his staff.
Today, they dropped the new trailer and Sonic's redesign (As well as the editing and general humor) was regarded as LEAGUES above the original, with hundreds of fans (and even non-fans of the series) saying that they'd happily go and see the film now, regardless of how good it ends up being, out of sheer fucking respect for the crew at Paramount having the balls to swallow their pride and give the fans what they wanted.

As much as I admire these anon(s) dedication in their attempts to get something close to a definitive answer from Lily and/or get him to realize that taking a bit of criticism isn't the end of the world, they might as well be trying to sell snow shovels in Texas. Lily doesn't want to hear criticism and has always dug his heels in against it, at least since the Josh Scorcher debacle, and Lily's ego is too big to even consider that advice from anon's would have any merit. The only way Lily would take any form of criticism is if one of the few people he actually still respects, some how came upon his "work", and called him out on his BS, and even then I'd wager a good chance that he'd turn around after a brief moment of consideration to decry said person as toxic and cut all ties with them.

Lily won't take criticism because she doesn't want to make anything of true quality, she doesn't want to make art, she just wants to vent her anger, fan her ego, and satisfy her own fetishes while somehow making enough make doing these things so that they don't have to do anything. Just look at how Lily has hardly improved in their quality of writing, video making, or really anything in the past couple years, he doesn't need to do so long as his core group of fans keep coming back for more and shill out enough to support his sad life-style.

That being said, Lily's poor attempts at defending her writing choices were amusing, you know you're writings bad when you can't even form a good argument against freaking anon asks over Tumblr of all places and all you can do is spit hyperbole at them with nothing to back it up.
