There were a handful of adventure episodes in each 20+ episode season and the rest was slice of life.
It wasn't fucking Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Tbh she made a good point about episodic locations not really being decent world building, but at the same time, those locations can explore a certain theme for an episode or explore the culture the setting is based around.

As far as Jerry behavior goes, this is pretty mundane. If I expected any sort of consistency or integrity out of him, I'd wonder why his primary concern is the animation when he's constantly said that all that matters is writing. Instead, I'll make the stunning prediction that no matter how many of Jerry's insane rules this show follows, he will always love it and defend it, unless it does something to piss off the social justice community as a whole he'll never change his mind.
