Kizzume uploaded a video today its just a voiceless 20 minute video of him walking in the forest. Notably he is doing the stupid youtube favorited by creator thing on every comment except ones asking about JCS or AI voice overs.

It's just worse quality. If you got the AI voice shit over like a 15 minute body cam video and you use it for like a couple minutes to narrate some of the police report sure. When its an hour of constant on and off talking from a script it sounds like shit and it makes the video 50% worse.

Like 75% of the video your there for the person talking its the key part of your brand, there's a reason there aren't many channels that just post audio-less interrogation videos because they are boring without the context of the case. I don't know why you would cheap out on the most important part of your brand, just hire a new actor, don't use AI slop. Theres plenty of copy cat clone channels that don't use AI and are now as a result higher quality than JCS.

I know the guy who narrated had a channel on YouTube that barely got 4 digit views, I’m wondering if he just threw his voice into an AI model and told them to go wild cause he’s tired of these kinds of crime stories.

Regardless, my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. I really expected better of JCS but when your channel is constantly fighting to keep monetized you just stop giving a shit.

Someone in the comments of the video joked that the reason why the last stretch of the video switches to some generic female ai voice is because their free trial must have ran out, but you know what thats likely the case and its pretty funny

I don't hate AI as much as most people seem too, and to be honest I didn't even notice that the Kizzume voice was AI. However when it swapped to the female voice I said out loud "what the fuck is that"? How bizarre. I can definitely see why people are saying in the comments that the writing is weird or bad as well. I have to agree with most people and assume he sold the channel.

The description says "inspired by truecrimeloser" when it used to credit him directly. I'm not sure what the relationship between the two channels used to be but I guess truecrimeloser is also not involved anymore.

Even before they went dark you knew the channel was dying when they started to randomly cut down videos for no reason. I think it was that video with the women cop (Stephenie Lazarus) that went from over an hour to under a half which made me fully disinvest interest from the channel.

Thankfully EWU and Dr. Insanity mostly fill in the gaps for me. Though I need to the former to do less videos on black people because their stories tend to boil down to “sheeit nigga i jus fogot about muh kid“ or actual no-thoughts monkey rage that have no narrative intrigue.

Dreading would be decent if he wasn't such a virtue signalling faggot, his video on the Sarah Boone letters got me into that case and I was heavily invested in it for years. Also, wasn't the dreading guy associated with another lolcow? Illuminaughty or some other bitch? I forget

AI slop content is literal bottom feeder content. It has completely fucking ruined the entire genre of police interrogations and true crime on YouTube. Any time I see a video that seems somewhat interesting I click on it and I get a robot reading the Wikipedia article of a case and calling it a day. I despise it so much. I thought JCS would have at least some self respect as to not do it, but I guess not.
