I think at this point we just have to accept JCS has been sold off and is no different to the run of the mill text to speech AI slop channels.
They will still make millions of views from it and you have retards in the comments posting "glad I never unsubbed from your Patreon!"
On a side not it seems like Kizzume has been still holding out on hope that they will contact him for a script, to the point that he hasn't done similar work with other channels.
It's baffling that if they wanted to move away from Kizzume why they didn't just go with someone else entirely but I suspect it must be since the channel has been sold, the quality even outside the AI is just not there and has been on a decline for a while now.
There I thought it was bad with the last upload a year and a half ago, this has been a significant decline from even that.

Yeah and they have deleted a whole lot more then that. I suspect they are chopping them up and putting them through the AI slop machine in order to dump them during the peak revenue period to pass it off as a new video like they did with the Amato one.
There was some great work done here way back earlier in this thread in preserving all the old videos into an Archive. A lot of us pulled as much as possible together since even the old videos on their channel have been chopped up and altered several times over however whoever now runs JCS has been on a warpath in taking down all links and sadly it's now gone.
I have 99% of all the original content, which took a considerable amount of time to get. If the demand is strong enough I'll do my best to post it here for archival purposes. I give credit to the work EWU crew and Matt Orchard do but as hard as it may be to believe looking at them now, back in the day there was just no matching JCS.
Now with all the arrows, circles and "OMG SO FUNNI GIFS", they aren't even trying to hide the fact it's been made for retards anymore.

I don't think he realizes he can own his own channel. Hire someone good to write/produce and he'll have a half million subs by month three. His voice is the branding of the old JCS, and most of us have checked out as we want nothing to do with the slop they make now.

Matt Orchard is great, I have been watching him from the early days of his channel. He lacks some of the more deeper psychological insights but he more then makes up for it in with the quality of his work.
'STAYAWAKE - Crime and Psychology' is another one that I have found to be pretty decent, along with 'The Villain's'.
This is what they always do. They took most of their old videos down and even claimed that Youtube was attacking their channel when there was no evidence of it and it was proven that they were the ones taking down their own videos. Their new strategy is to go radio silent for 1-2 years and then have a big comeback promising more videos "very soon".
They did the exact same thing last time and time after that, it's nothing new. For what reason, I have no idea. Possibly they figure the buzz of them 'returning' will net them more views then just regular uploads of AI slop.

The only actual record we have of the old crew existing is at the end of the deleted Jussie Smollet video. It seemed like they had a pretty big crew at the time but it's clear it's not the same people running the show anymore.
Sometimes the rapid onset of success and cash-flow is just too much and can be a detriment to a channel, there were probably internal disputes that we don't know about either and so they decided to just sell out. Shame to see them go out this way but it is what it is.

I know its because they're lazy, but I don't get why channels don't record a voice over with their autism voice and then just replace it with AI. You keep intonation and cadence of a normal human but with a more palatable sound.

Yeah true but people like Kizzume were only charging a couple hundred bucks to narrate an entire video and they are a dime a dozen since a ton of them are looking for voice over work.
The last upload got over 25 million views, that's an insane amount of add revenue that they would have received, yet they couldn't be fucked just paying someone a couple hundred bucks to read it out and instead just used the free trial of AI slop software.
I almost wouldn't be surprised if it turned out AI wrote the script, edited and published the entire video on it's own with zero human input, it's so bad that it's on the level of parody.
UPDATE: JCS just privated their latest upload from their channel lmfao, The backlash they got for it must have been too much for them to handle.
I managed to save an archive version of it, fucking hell the comments were brutal as well and well deserved. I don't think they expected to get nearly as much flak as they did for it considering there was only minimal complaints in the comment section the last time they did this.

I thought the last time was weird but the original voice was kinda monotone anyway so it wasn't too much of a departure. This latest one where they switch to random annoying AI lady voice for no discernable reason though I think really drove home just how little of a shit they give.

The video has been privated. I didn't notice the AI voice straight away when I watched it, but I hated the beginning where the narration is explained word by word with visuals. It doesn't fit the channel and it's another shitty attention grabbing practice used on youtube. The video looks like it came from a "JCS inspired" channel.

Yeah that shitty cartoon was so out of place, plus all the zoomer gifs placed randomly in the video were so bad. Not to mention the part where they had the female AI bot say, "It's kinda like he's auditioning for the next Star Wars movie and he is about to rehearse the most breathtaking fucking paragraph in the history of the franchise", has to be one of the most cringiest things i've heard in a while.
JCS used to be known for doing a deep dive into criminal psychology and actually looking at the history of the victims and perpertrators. We learned almost absolutley nothing about the victims or even any real background on the offenders, there was no actual content, just mindless filler.
Also at first I thought that Ed Sheeran picture was an intentional joke but now looking back I'm more convinced they just uploaded the first result they found on Google assuming it was him and called it a day, they couldn't give less of a shit if they tried.

The writing and script is still leagues better than anything going these days. Matt Orchard is the only one who's writing is as good. Dreading isn't bad, but as already been mentioned, he can't resisting being a virtue-signaling faggot.

I actually did enjoy seeing the interrogation and how good the guy was at breaking them down. It was kind of refreshing to see a case where a the cop just masterclass mogs two midwits. I'd have really enjoyed old school JCS commentary.

Don't get me wrong, its not an inherently bad interrogation or anything. It's just when you compare it to old JCS videos it's not particularly good either.
