I'm going to stop shit-posting in this thread, but this is essential reading:

http://mmswiki.is/index.php/Basic_Science_of_MMS

This explains what Jim Humble and his supporters believe about MMS. According to these people, it's an oxidizer, not a bleach. Humble explains that any chemical, including water, can cause toxicity, and that chlorine dioxide is approved by the EPA for drinking water and the FDA for food in trace amounts as a disinfectant (which is true.) This is his evidence that MMS is safe in trace amounts for medicinal use.

You're not shitposting, you're providing great info.

lol that's literally the same thing what an idiot

it has it's own wikipedia page

the exact composition is 28% Sodium Chlorite (NaClO2) with the rest being distilled water.
Sodium chlorite, the main constituent of MMS, is a toxic chemical[10][11] that can cause acute renal failure[12] if ingested. Small amounts of about 1 gram can be expected to cause nausea, vomiting and even life-threatening hemolysis in persons who are deficient in glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase.
apparently they suggest activating it with citrus acid or another food grade acid, which will produce an aqueous solution containing chlorine dioxide which is mostly used for pulp bleaching
The EPA has set a maximum level of 0.8 mg/L for chlorine dioxide in drinking water apparently. I'm not sure the amount of chlorine dioxide per the amount of water in the mixture, but I'm going to guess it's more than that.
http://www.mms-supplement.com/MMS Usage Chart.pdf according to the pdf chart the solution contains 1 g/L of chlorine dioxide, and gives suggestions for usage on infants.

jfc that's more oxidizer than is in laundry bleach. I'm amazed these people don't die right away.

Edit: did the math, that's approximately 460g/L, that's 574,000 times the EPA maximum level.

Natural selection at its finest. People want to drink bleach?, go ahead. People want to give bleach to their kids?, welp, I feel sorry for the kids but those genes are not going to make it to the pool anymore and it's probably for the best. Playing doctor and trying to prove that their own untested method is the best has always been a thing among uneducated people and we know how good that had proven so far.

Seriously though, if people this crazy are having kids and they somehow manage to dodge this particular bullet, they are going to kill them sooner or later with something else like not vaccinating them, eating their own poop (because everyone knows that's more naturale than supermarket products, right?), etc. Even if other people tell them they are wrong and try to get authorities involved to rescue the kids, the parents will take them far away (like that vegan cow that moved out to south america) and continue with their effort of destroying their heritage.

I'm always amused on how hard some people try to completely destroy themselves and whoever follows them.

This article is a disgrace. I'm used to Wikipedia being a place full of egotistical geeks who like to link WP rule pages to anyone with an idea who didn't read every single rule there is, but this is a matter of moral as well. If MMS has potential, this article is harmful in many ways, and I don't need any more geeky replies

This isn't a forum for an identity-forging, IP-hopping user to rant. Wikipedia is reality-based. There is no science to support chugalugging industrial bleach, and, in fact, science, law, and common sense indicate that no one should do it. This article reflects that reality.

So let me get this straight, a crazy white guy who was part of Scientology, left and or was kicked out went out and created Scientology 2: Electric Boogaloo and convinces people that the solution to diseases is industrial bleach, who said followers use on their autistic kids to cure them.
Am not surprised... am horrified

He's not exactly the first nut who got out of Scientology and started his own cult. EST/Landmark Forum also started out that way.

What are you even asking? If you're asking if they're consuming chlorine dioxide my the mole then no.
I'm asking what the makeup of MMS is, are they diluting the nasty shit to the point where it doesn't even exist?
