Looks like Joe has started a Facebook Group for The Light of Courage. What is he working on, you ask? Talent scouting? Nope. Shooting locations? Nope. Is he hard at work learning how to use Maya and Photoshop? Fuck no.

He's begging for money.

Yep, good ol' Joe, rattling his can on a movie that he tried to make over a decade ago, and couldn't be arsed to do it, and is now literally no closer to his goal. Only now he literally has a dozen abandoned projects littering the internet, as cautionary tales to potential investors.

Never change, Joe.

Autism never changes. You'd THINK he'd learn that no one wants to give him any money by now. No one even wanted to give his sick grandma any money either.

Well, at least we can see how much money he has raised. Two grandiose donors have donated him 0.00070265 BTC, which is roughly 0.2657493 filthy United States fiat dollars at the moment. Better convert that to cash soon - it'll be half that the next week. Or not. Bitcoin is a very volatile commodity, you know. You might get a cup of coffee with that, or not. Probably not. Coffee is funny that way.

@Joe_Cracker sorry the panthers lost bro I was rooting for Cam Newton because he makes old TRADITIONALISTS who jack off to Danny Woodhead highlights really salty

You have to give Crackle Jack some credit, he certainly is persistant when it comes to begging for money.
It's sad really. Back in the old days he managed to make three "brilliant" films, and now all he does is ask for handouts.
He was lazy back then, so it's pretty impressive that he's even lazier now.
It seems my dream of a Joe_Cracker book will forever be imprisoned in my head...
My love for Mad McGee is slowly fading...

Am I doing talent scouting? Yes
Location scouting? No, it's gonna be animated
Photoshop and Maya? No, I don't have any of those. Plus there are others better at it.

If people actually did give me funding these projects wouldn't be abondon or sitting on the shelf, they would be on all of your shelves with the rest of your DVDS, Blu-Rays, HDDVDs, VHS, Betamax, and 8mm 16mm home reels. Books, video games. I bet some of your shelfs are so disorganized a librarian would have a cow after seeing it!

Here is the thing, I simply asked for Bitcoin and guess what? It's working, money is finally coming in. A few cents at time believe it or not. So all of you saying no one is gonna give me money, you should be asking how much are they willing to part with or what kind of money should you be sending. Also, if you've seen some of the stuff screwattack puts on their YouTube channel you can say I finally found the animators to replace SBK, Cellius, and Oquiox. Now I need to be able to make them an offer.

Goodness gracious me...

That's incredible Crackhead!! You've earned "a few cents"!! In a year or two you might even reach a full dollar!!
Good luck with hiring those animators! I'm sure once they recieve your offer they'll accept it instantly!!
And hey, maybe you can get SBK, Cellius and Orquiox to join too! They must be so lonely and depressed without you!
You may need to get a lawyer to make sure they won't scam you again though...
Is GreasyBeaver still available? You should hire him!!

Your dad seemed really proud of you when you completed The Unknown Creature. Why not go for a similar project, something with a small cast, shorter story, and local setting that you could feasibly complete without anyone needing to give you any money?

I know you have big dreams for your stories, but if it's a waiting game for the money at this point why not get some more work under your belt? To me it's far more impressive to see what someone can do on a bare-bones budget than what they can do with money to throw at animators.

Look money is tight around the house right now, the reason why I haven't been here in a while is so I can figure out some things, all I keep coming down to is that whether it's TLOC or Unknown Creature 2, it's not possible without crowdfunding. I could have the best talent that the local community theaters have to offer and without money to pay them I have no movie. Plus I already have one guy Grayson Owens who is up for a part in the sequel. Not just him but possibly all three of these guys in just one video.

As always if you got Bitcoin it's 1QKEJSpcYkA9uLrQG9gLutuSSrZqFcuAdq. Then there are some Bitcoin faucets, some of them are fun. If you think Bitcoin will fund TLOC then I'll set one up for TUC2.

How did you fund The Unknown Creature then?

Did you crowd fund the original The Unknown Creature?

Edit:sniped

Why not try something new?

Well back in 2005 the money situation wasn't as bad as it is now, plus I kept expenses as low as possible. Throw those means I was able to self fund the entire movie. One guy watched it then he went to the theater to see Lords of Dogtown, in the middle of it he was just wanting to go home and watch Unknown a second time because of how bad that movie was.

Who was this "one guy"? A friend of yours?
Anyway, why don't you practice your writing in the meantime? I'd love to see one or two short stories from you Joe! :story:
Surely you don't need any money for that!

Do you have a script ready?

*facepalm*
So let me get this straight: Your sole donations so far are from Bitcoin faucets.
Web services that send a couple of penny shavings your way, primarlily so you can test out how Bitcoin works.
And you now consider yourself a trusting expert of all things Bitcoin and have high hopes for the future.
*facepalm continueth for a while*

Let me be honest with you: Bitcoin is a great technology experiment and research project, but it's real-world usage is pretty much nonexistent and will likely stay that way (for various reasons which are complicated and off-topic). It's needlessly difficult for people to convert cash to Bitcoin. It's almost impossible to convert larger amounts of Bitcoin to cash again (I'm talking movie-making expenses kind of money flow here).

If it's difficult for you to get people to donate any money in "real-world" currencies, how hard do you think it's going to be for them to donate you anything in Bitcoin?
Seriously, did you just stop your experiments so far at using Bitcoin faucets? Did you actually try to turn some cash into Bitcoin, or did you even find out what's generally involved in that process?

(Coincidentally, here's a good recent video that I can recommend for confused onlookers.)

It's no use. Joe's going to do what he wants and nothing we say will make him change his mind. You'd have better luck mansplaining to Brianna Wu.
